The only thing I have to say about contractors that lie is I'm not five years old you aren't the ice cream man and i am not going to chase you with my money if you want to leave money on the table go a head, but don't lie.

My fence blew down in a storm, had Goodrows come out and give me an estimate. I spoke with the owner several times on the phone about the job, he was always courteous and friendly. He gave me an estimate that was not the cheapest, but the quality of the workmanship was very good, it was better than the previous fence I had installed. As the baseboard supports had rotted out from being wet, the lower supports were placed higher to avoid this outcome in the future. I appreciated this thoughtfulness to their work. I was consulted at every step of the way, and I appreciated this as well, it is nice to be involved in the process, and this was done to ensure that I was happy with everything that was done. Their website has a calendar of job schedules that was updated frequently, so that I could look at a glance to see when my job would start and how long it would take (approximately). The job start date did change, but I had asked for work during their busiest time of year, so that was not a surprise. They are in demand, because their work is good. They designed two gates for me that were better than the previous gates I had. I would recommend them hands down for any type of fencing job.

Excellent! Mr. Goodrow came out to provide a quote. His quote was significantly lower than 2 other quotes. Based on the positive reviews on this site, we decided to hire him. We communicated via email to schedule the job. He responded within 24 hours to emails. His crew arrived on time (actually 5 min. early). They had all the materials, tools and equipment needed to do a quick professional job. We are very happy with Goodrow Fencing and Landscaping. I would use them again.

This is a simple project requiring a replacement of two sections of cedar fencing where the post had rotted. The original sections were too long between each posts and they made them into three sections which should hold better. The workers showed up a little late from the scheduled time, but overall not a big deal. The workers were efficient, they used good quality wood materials and they cleaned up everything and took the old fence section with them for disposal. It does look like we found our fence company. We will definitely be using them again in the near future.

While our communication got off to a rather rough start, I was pleased with the advice William gave me.

These guys are professionals who really know what they are doing! William, the owner, was very easy to reach for an estimate appointment and came right on time. He is very personable and professional and gladly answered all our questions. He scheduled our job based on our preferred timeline and made the whole thing easy for us. He even maintains his job schedule on his website for transparency and sends a reminder email before the job begins. His crew of two guys were skilled and fast, finishing our fence in 2 days (despite the extreme outside high temperatures at the time). Due to our hilly property with a steep grade, we asked that they screw the top rails to each of the posts for additional stability and longer fence life, and they gladly accommodated our request. We couldn't be happier with the work and would definitely call them again!

I was willing to pay his price to replace a fence post, but they did not contact me to set up a time. We emailed each other and settled on a price however the company seems to not want to work on my small job. I just need the work done, I am disabled and have been hiring people from Angie's list for months with no problems until now.

Goodrow fit the work in very quickly. He was prompt the day of the work. Many family members have commented that the gates look great and the work was done well.

After some difficulty in scheduling, he came by to look at the work and said that what we needed was not covered by the deal. He said we could either have him do the work and he would reduce the cost by the amount we paid for the deal, or get a credit back for the deal. When we received the quote, it was for more work than we needed, and at a much higher price. We decided not to them do the work and sent a request that they process a refund. We have received no response.

Fast and thorough service, taking apart the fence around the 3 rotten fence posts, cementing in the new posts (saving and reapplying the post caps) and putting the fence back together. Left a clean work site.

Excellent on everything. There was absolutely no problem. He did a fabulous job. He was on time with everything. The price was fair and he responded on time.

I called and left messages with 5 of the contractors 'HomeAdvisor' suggested. NONE of them returned my call. I made 2 appointments for meetings/estimates on their website and nobody got back to me. I called one contractor again and got him on the line. He said he was just about to referee a basketball game and said he didn't have time to talk to me. I also left a message on his voice mail and he never returned the call. I called another contractor who said he was busy and would call me later. I never heard from him either. The up-shot was, I went to Angie's list, paid a $7 annual membership fee and they had a fence repair 'special' for $360.00. I paid the amount with PayPal, never even saw the contractor who came to the property a day later and fixed the 40 feet of fence that the wind knocked down. He and his staff did a beautiful job, left the site clean and put in 5 new posts with cement. The fence line was straight 'as an arrow.' All for $360.00! I spent a couple hours on HomeAdvisor's contractors with phone calls, describing the damage on-line and keeping a log of all the people I talked to/left messages for. A lot of work! Angie's did it all with one e-mail! I gave HomeAdvisors more than a fighting chance and got nowhere! Angie's list rules!!!!

William and his team were extremely responsive to my first e-mail request to come out for an estimate. We had contacted at least a half doz other contractors and they were slow to respond. His estimate was the best value for the money. He knew we had a budget due to an insurance claim so he was very willing & able to work with us. He had us on their schedule within a week and his guys came out and built it in one day after removal of my old fence the previous day. They even worked in the pouring down rain & wind and had it completed before dark. William also built a custom ornamental gate which was a design I had found online. He communicated me consistently throughout the process by text, sending pics,etc so that we were on the same page. All of my neighbors are coming by letting me know how nice it looks. I am very happy with the finished product and will most definitely refer him to others and also have him back for the remainder of my fence that needs repair in the future. His Co also provides landscaping services so I will be calling him for another backyard project as soon as my budget permits. I would Highly recommend William for his services as it's very rare in this day-and-age to find contractors that are reliable and responsive! Sincerely, Satisfied Gig Harbor Customer

5/8/14 Thanks again to Goodrow's fencing, once again they came out to fix our fence, our other neighbor's fence blew over and they are taking care of it. We appreciate you!!!! Great service, great response time and Awesome crews!!!!!!! 1/10/13 We bought a home with a blown down fence and needed a new wood fence and chain link fence. He came and gave us a great bid but said it would be a couple weeks before he could get to us as they were very busy. He had a cancellation and called to see if we were ready. I was thrilled. They got all 3 fence sections done in 3 days on approx 1/4 acre. He called me with updates throughout the process and after everything was complete to see if I was happy with the job. I highly recommend them to everyone!!!

It all went very well. The wood he provided was excellent. He demonstrated fine craftsmanship. We are very happy with the whole experience and of course the deck. We had to leave for vacation all the railing had been reassembled. We went ahead and paid him for the entire job before we left and trusted that he would finish the work while we were gone. When we go home everything was completed as promised. I would hire William again.
