Description of Work: The service man performed an inspection, cleaning and repair of our natural gas furnace. It is over 20 years old, running well but, after the thorough inspection, we have decided to invest in a new furnace to be installed by this company. |The service man was very polite, his accent was a bit strong when using the English language but, he was a terrific representative of the Marr company. |As a result of that work accomplished, I met with Ken Marr, the owner, to arrange for a new furnace. Now he is one terrific fellow. Very, very professional and very knowledgeable in the field of heating. We were given a number of furnaces to choose from and we will have his company install one of them in the near future. |Overall, a wonderful experience and I would recommend Marr's Heating to anyone for any of their services.

Description of Work: Came home & found out the heat did not work. I could hear the furnace come on, but it kept shutting off. I called Thursday eve, and the tech came out on Friday. He got the system working but said we needed a part that had to be ordered.As the system was working, and we were going to be out of town for a week, we set a date in the next few weeks for him to order the part and get back to us. However, by Sunday morning we were agian without heat. I called the office at 0800 on Monday and asked if we could possibly get the part sooner and move up the date as we were again without heat. The office administrator called us back promptly and said it could be done that same day. By about noon on Monday (which was President's Day), we were all set. Also, the tech advised us on the status of the furnace and what we will likely need in the future. He even showed us a picture of what he could see in the pipes (tubing, ducts???). Very helpful. Thanks so much for the help! Marr's ROCKS!!!

+ -1 moreThe service call had a window between 9:30 and 11:30am. They were supposed to call before they came. They had not arrived or called by 12:30, so I called their office. I was informed that it would be another half hour before they would get to me, if that was acceptable. It was, and the service man arrived about 1:00pm. The service man did not cut the power to the furnace before opening it up (as is recommended by the manufacturer). Something shorted out and blew something on the control panel (the fan would turn on, but no heat). Some time was spent by the service man to locate the problem. He then called his boss (the company's owner) to come out and help, which he did. More time was spent diagnosing the problem. They replaced the ignitor and the circuit board and were finished after 4pm. They only charged for 1.25 hours of labor and did not charge for the ignitor or the circuit board.
