Marr's Heating and Air Conditioning

I called Marr's for an estimate for a new furnace/ac. Kyle came out and instantly impressed us with his expertise, thoroughness and friendly demeanor. He explained, in detail, the equipment we would need to have installed to maximize the comfort of our home. Well, we awarded the contract to Marr's. It was a large purchase for us and we were concerned about the quality of the job we would get...well those concerns were squelched almost immediately when Jacob and Wyatt showed up, on time, and well prepared to do the job. They were polite and respectful of our home. They are true professionals and performed the work to completion and to our complete satisfaction. Jacob took the time to go over the operation of the new programmable thermostat for the heating and cooling units. They left the work area in better condition than when they first arrived and the installed equipment looked great! I would recommend Marr's to anyone in a heart beat. Great job guys!!

Went well. We called them during hottest part of summer but they responded in timely fashion. They came when they said they would. Accessible through email and text. Patient with us as we considered alternatives.

The technician brought the owner with him knowing this would be more involved. We spent 2 hours examining all aspects of the project and what-if solutions, resulting in a suggestion to add a duct to the upstairs converted attic. Months later, still no estimate for the work. I think it was too involved for them and they simply walked away from a tough job. I found a competitor that agreed with my proposal to add central A/C for the main floor and install a ductless mini-split system in the converted attic. We used the wall dividing the bedroom from the walk-in closet to locate the indoor unit, then ran the lineset on the closet side of the wall, down to thru the knee wall and traversed inside the attic crawlspace to the soffit and out the soffit to the outdoor unit down below. Difficult but I paid for the work and it works wonderfully. The converted attic operates independent of the main floor and is amazingly comfortable!

They are excellent. It was a fair price. My husband would not have had them do it if the price was not good. The quality was excellent. We would use them again. They are our go to! They do top notch work. The workers present themselves well, they explained things and answer questions. They clean up after themselves. They explain themselves and ask us questions. They are a local company, family owned.

We have used them for 10-15 years. They have been in business, I believe his father had the company before he did. They are trustworthy. If I was not here I know I could trust them.

During the my appointment with Ken Marr, he went over all the reasons why he was suggesting a certain type of furnace for us. It was a 45,000 BTU furnace to replace our 22 year old initial furnace which was installed when our home was built. The information he gave was new to me plus, he gave information that I would never have thought to ask him. That info turned out to be most valuable. I had talked to two other companies before talking with Ken Marr and they did not give nearly the amount of relevant info that Ken did in a very friendly manner. The service technician arrived 5 mins before the scheduled appointment. He installed both, the furnace and the water heater, in an amazingly short time with both of them working very well as he left. The city of Bellingham required sealant put on the joints of the furnace ducting. It had no affect on the functioning of the furnace but, it was an unnecessary cost to Marr's Heating which is very unfortunate. Marr's sent out a service man to do the job and it was expertly done in short order to bring happiness to the city's representative who arrived a second time to check the work done. Overall, this company did an excellent job, was always friendly, timely and courteous with the cost being as good as, or better, than other companies. I was very impressed with the owner, Ken Marr, and his son Jacob. Both of these men are highly customer service-oriented and cared deeply that I was pleased with all aspects of their work. The furnace works perfectly as does the water heater. When I have any maintenance or work to do on either the furnace, or the water heater, Ken Marr and his crew will be the one and only that I choose. I just can't say enough about how pleased I am with the results achieved for the price paid. Thank you Marr's Heating.

The person who came out to the house was prompt, professional and informative. Happy with the service.

They're great. They do a great job. And about a year or so ago, my furnace went out in the winter and they came right over and fixed it and got all the parts, and whatever. They are very good. They come every summer and do my preventative maintenance. I have a contract I pay once a year. If you do anything other than the maintenance, you get a 15% discount on parts or whatever. The $214 includes my furnace and servicing my gas fireplace insert. They've been just great. We've been using them for probably three to four years.

It's been a while since I used them and I think there was a reason I looked for someone else. The price was really high. The quality of the work, punctuality and responsiveness were pretty good. I asked a few questions that weren't important but they couldn't seem to answer.

It went fine. They were professional and got the job done quick.

The technician arrived right on time and was professional and courteous. He made an initial determination of the problem and then consulted with another technician to confirm his assessment. He made the recommendation to replace a 25 year old furnace and was able to order, permit, and install exactly as promised. They left the work area clean and made sure all my questions were answered.

Marr's gave us an estimate over the phone, and we were very pleased with him. He assessed the problem and it was something we didn't know. He did a great job. He deserves an A++ rating. I would use him again.

There were some aspects that were fine where as some aspects especially getting the controls put in properly was a little problematic. It all turned out okay but it is more of a 50-50 feeling rather than being a 100% satisfied. A young fellow came by first was very good wherein they raised few things and got it setup. The older folks that came in seemed to be a little more casual. I used them because they were close to the rental unit. They were fairly priced

The owner, Ken Marr, came to my home to give me an estimate and lay out my options. I was impressed by his knowledge and professional, businesslike approach. The technicians who came to install the equipment and service the A/C were pleasant and conscientious. They cleaned up after themselves. Ken Marr came by to check the work and he arranged the final inspection of the new equipment by the government representative. All in all, I was impressed by how smoothly the installation was accomplished and I will be contacting Marr's Heating and Air Conditioning again for my yearly inspection.

They were very prompt when they called and seemed quite honest in what they were saying. We probably need a new heat pump but are going to increase the size of our house so we are going to wait until we decide on the right size of heat pump to get. We have not decided yet. They were pretty upfront with what they were going to charge and seemed knowledgeable. Their technician seemed like a good repair person and their charges were no surprise to us. They called ahead and were right on the money.

Very professional, I would call them again without hesitation.

After usiing this company every year for 10 years, this time they pulled a bait and switch. After making an appointment for our regular service, this time they wanted to charge an additional fee for the fireplace check and cleaning., which wasn't made clear until the tech was here. This had always been included before. they have also initiated an energy savings agreement program which is a prepayment program that they pushed with every contact. The service technicians have always been professional and excellent. Our complaint is with the office and policy

I don't know if it was last year or the year before last, but they had to replace something on the controlling board. They went ahead and did that of course, at no charge. In the end, I got a brand new control board. They did okay, so, I will continue to use them. They messed up and then, they made good. The kid comes in, the note said turn things off, he didn't, he fried things,and he called his boss. I'm not sure what kind of notes he got from his boss, but, they made it right. I would use them again in the future.

The technician arrived on time and was extremely professional and polite. He was able to find the problem right away and fix it promptly. We were lucky it wasn't major. The thermostat needed batteries. Doh!! He didn't make me feel dumb - nice guy. They included a survey with the invoice. That tells me they care about their image and customer service.
