Tall Pines Construction Took the necessary steps in passing the required inspection and prior to starting the "Re- Construction Phase" Two other Water Mitigation Companies (that's all they do is water mitigation) failed the final inspection . Thanks to Tim Pigatto owner of Tall Pines Construction & his employees; my home was dry & free of Mold for the first time in 6 months... The Water Mitigation Phase of the project ...absolutely wonderful experience. Tim's employees polite, clean cut & very professional young men.. What makes Tall Pine Construction stand out from all the contractor's out there is.... Michele. A very talented, gifted Interior design/decorator) just one of the services provided when you hire Tall Pines. With her help I found the perfect counter top, gorgeous tile (for the backsplash). She even went appliance shopping with me... By the time we had left sears (3 hours later) thanks to Michele, not only did sears price match, plus additional 15% off (promo offer) & free delivery. Wow I'm set...ready for Phase II . Last March I contacted Tall Pines Construction for a bid . Tim was gracious enough to come to my home. Provide a written estimate for that I could submit to the Insurance Company. Sears Service Tech had "improperly installed an icemaker" flooding the entire first floor of my townhome.... after six months my home was still wet & had mold... thanks to Tall Pine Construction my home is dry & free of mold. A Special thanks to Michele for such Exquisite service......& keeping me sane .....moving on to Phase II Cherie B Kirkland Wa

Tall Pines was prompt in returning an estimate and actually started work 3 weeks before the estimated start date. Workers we prompt, professional, and preformed the work with a high degree quality. We had Tall Pines install wood flooring in two rooms and tile two rooms, they look great. They also built a few wall, fixed some existing problems (walls bowed), hung the drywall, and mudded. We will have them back for future projects!

It went great we highly recommend Tall Pines. We plan on using them again soon.
Description of Work: Tall Pines did our master bath and powder room remodel. From the start they came when they said they would, did what we wanted, were responsive to what we asked, did what they said they would do, were clean, and told us what was done and when we needed to get and provide input or make decisions. Tim,, Eric, and Michelle were great to work with. Michelle was a huge help with the design of the bathrooms and the overall success of the remodels were largely due to her. She made great suggestions that turned our bathrooms from something OK to Wow. We strongly recommend using her.

Description of Work: I emailed Tall Pines about a bathroom remodel. They called me back within an hour, which was great, and we set up an appointment for them to come and give me an estimate the next week. During our phone conversation they asked me to text my address to the number they had called me on, and I did so immediately after our call. They never showed up for our appointment and never called me to apologize or reschedule. Yes, I could have called them to ask where they were or reschedule, but I didn't feel I should have to. If they couldn't be reliable and punctual when trying to obtain my business, I didn't see why they would be reliable and punctual once they had it.

Great experience! Tim is very detail-oriented, and has a crew that is incredibly professional and responsive. He was able to visit and provide an estimate within the same week. Even though they were booked out for three months, Tim made special arrangements to fit us into their busy schedule. We used their preferred providers to purchase materials, and their "contractor's pricing" really helped us to obtain quality materials that we never would have seen at the public big box stores. They were also able to pick up our materials for us because of this, which helped tremendously. They made suggestions about materials and design details that we sincerely appreciated. His crew (we had Jose) worked with our schedule and was very open to our preferences on the details- he asked about everything from the placement of outlets to how high we wanted our towel racks, and really made us feel like he cared that the bathroom was going to turn out exactly the way we wanted it. Description of Work: Remodeled Small Family Bathroom: Installed vent fan and duct, gutted tub surround walls to studs and floor to subfloor (replaced with waterproof membrane), removed old toilet/sink/vanity/fixtures and installed new, installed GFCI outlets, painted entire bathroom, performed beautiful tile work.

Description of Work: We requested for a quote for bathroom remodeling back in May and he was one of the folks who responded and we made arrangements to meet. Closer to the appt date, he told me that he can't meet and would reschedule. I didn't hear from him since May. Recently I contacted his company again via Angie's list (giving them another chance assuming that it might have slipped his mind to call me back) and he responded he could meet over the weekend. I replied to his email with my phone number to call me back so that we could arrange a time and a week later, no response back. I would appreciate a response if Tim is not interested instead of leaving me hanging twice. Quite disappointed since I was hoping that the relationship would work out after reading the reviews about the work that they do.

Response from Tall Pines Construction
In reviewing my correspondence with this member our email history shows I responded on Tuesday evening, stating I was out of town and would be returning home on Thursday evening. I stated in my email that I would be happy to come out on Saturday, Sunday or early next week. On Friday at 2:56 pm I called and left a voicemail for this member ~ which she did not return. Apparently I did not call soon enough. My apologies.

Master bathroom: Tall Pines crew did a great job. Szabi, their tile installer, is absolutely fantastic and a true craftsman. The tile work was impeccable. The grout lines are straight, tile is flat across the entire surface without height variation between any adjoining tiles. They were able to make intricate 45 degree cuts to get tile around corners with minimal grout lines. One thing we really appreciated was the ability to use our master bedroom throughout the duration of the project. Every morning the crew would lay down carpet protection, plastic over our bed and furniture and they would clean up at the end of each day. The entrance to the bathroom was carefully sealed every day and kept dust to a minimum. We were only displaced from our bedroom when paint and freshly stained vanity went in. Basement remodel: Basement project took longer than we expected due to the aforementioned significant increase in scope. Once the walls were opened up, Tall Pines crew pointed out a number of rot issues and found some leaking pipes that would have become a problem in a couple of years. All of these issues were corrected before we closed up the walls. Overall: This was our first major home remodel project and, as many projects, there were a few small hiccups. We had a few delays on the bathroom, mostly waiting for materials to come in. We didn't realize the dependencies between certain things in the project, such as countertop being dependent on vanity being installed. Tall Pines did their best to streamline both projects and keep the crew busy in the basement while we waited on bathroom materials. There were a couple of miscommunication issues regarding how certain tasks needed to be done. In all cases, Tall Pines corrected the issues to our satisfaction and Tim, Tall Pines owner, made sure things were fair at billing time. Overall we are pleased with the work Tall Pines did for us. His crews were always on time. We were kept in the loop on everything that was happening and the crews gave us plenty of explanation of what was being done and why. The end results look great, and we feel we got good value for our money. We would gladly work with Tim and Tall Pines on future remodeling projects.
Description of Work: Tall Pines did two projects for us: Project #1. Complete demo and remodel of a master bathroom. Master bathroom was a complete demolition and re-build with some minor reconfiguring of walls. Everything was stripped to studs. Shower area was increased by a foot to take advantage of some wasted space. A door frame was moved from separating vanity & shower to separating bedroom and bathroom. A dropped ceiling was reconfigured to give us more vertical space. Shower was completely tiled (walls and ceiling), bathroom floor and 1/2 way up the walls were tiled. All in all there were about 300 sq.ft of tile installed. Tall Pines did all of the plumbing and electrical work in the bathroom. Tall Pines installed a vanity and mirror, which were manufactured by Superior Cabinets in Kent. We sub-contracted granite counter-top and Corian shower pan, so those were installed by the respective companies. Plumbing was upgraded to PEX and wider drainage pipes. Bathroom walls were painted one color, two coats, and single color/two coats on the ceiling. Project #2: Complete demo and rebuild of a daylight basement. This project grew in scope due to the discovery of a prior rat infestation that wasn't disclosed by the sellers or found by inspection. Originally the project was scoped to reconfiguring a utility room into a separate laundry room and closed-off 1/2 bath. During demolition we discovered signs of recent infestation and decided to strip everything to studs to clean it out. As a result the project expanded to modernizing electrical wiring, updating plumbing, new mold-resistant drywall, new flooring, new ceiling, 7.1 home theater wiring and CAT5e in the walls. Walls had 3 colors on them, two coats each, plus white ceiling with two coats of paint. 400sq ft of Armstrong Alterna composite tile were installed as flooring.

The Tall Pines Construction crew did an amazing job. They were timely, always communicated what was going on, and never balked at any of my questions or my occasional change orders. They may not be the cheapest contractor around, but I don't want the cheapest contractor around working on my house, do you? Do yourself a favor and talk to Tim and his crew for your next project. They're not just craftsmen. They are artisans. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: Complete bathroom remodel including near total demo of master bath--floors, vanity, shower floor and walls. Discovered a lot of dry rot that had to be torn out. Installation of new shower floor using mosaic travertine tiles, and polished travertine tiles on the shower walls. Installation of multi-colored glass tile mosaic sheets on shower head wall. Installation of new glass window on exterior wall of shower to bring in some light. Installation of niche lined with glass tile mosaic sheet on shower wall opposite window. Installation of electric floor heat on bathroom floor, covered by 18 in. square travertine tiles. Installation of new bath vanity with granite countertop with undermount sink and glass mosaic tile backsplash. Installation of new window in bathroom. Replaced pocket door. Painted two colors, 2 coats.

We had a very good experience with our bathroom update. We had Tall Pines install a granite counter top for our existing vanity. We had old tile removed and new tile installed around the bathtub and behind the granite counter. We had the whole upper floor of the house painted, three bedrooms, including closets and two bathrooms, and a new bathroom light fixture installed. The project was done in 4 days without any problems. Tim's crew was very agreeable and skilled. They were a pleasure to have around. They looked like they got along well and were pleased with doing a good job. Another compliment to Tim for picking and retaining good people. I highly recommend Tall Pines Construction for a project both big and small. Jan Schwarz, Bellevue, WA

We highly recommend Tall Pines Construction and will use them, again.
Description of Work: Tall Pines Construction remodeled two of our bathrooms and parts of our kitchen. Tim and his crew were professional, paid attention to detail, and built bathrooms that are beautiful. All the work was at a very high skill level. They were clean and put away all their tools every evening. They were courteous and open to all our concerns. Communication was excellent so that we always knew where we were in the remodel process. Our kitchen was updated and putting in a new commercial faucet and under counter lights, etc made our kitchen look new. The cost and time to complete the entire project was more than expected and took longer than expected, but that seems par for the coarse. Part of the problem was awaiting materials.

Tim and his crew at Tall Pines Construction did a complete demo and remodel of our master bathroom. Tim was very responsive to my first call and helped us find quality materials, good prices and create a seamless design. His crew was awesome - they always showed up when they said they would - and would text me if times/plans changed. They handled all problems immediately and got the job done. There were a few delays due to suppliers, but as soon as materials came in the crew was back at my house the next day to get it done. His crew was also very clean - laying down covers over the hardwood and carpet to keep the mess to a minimum, and would sweep and vacuum every night. Besides great service, Tim offered me a super price. All materials were at cost and his total was pretty accurate to his original estimate. They became one of the family for those few weeks and I knew that they cared about us and our bathroom more than the average contractor. I would definitively recommend Tall Pines for a bathroom remodel! p.s. they also continued to be helpful and responsive when small things came up after our job was done. I love knowing they were always ready to help!

on lTall Pines is the perfect match for people who want to collaborate to make something very special. There were so many places where we we needed advice, and we got it, but without being instructed or directed. Selection of tiles is a good example, Tall Pines introduced us to several outlets, and when the selection wasn't adequate they took us to others until we were satisfied. The company worked with us to ensure we had all the materials, fittings and fixtures in hand before beginning construction. At the time i thought that was unnecessary; after all why have a toilet in your garage for a month before installation? For good reason; suppliers aren't always on time, and an item's availability isn't always so, That's the preparation. I found the construction process "over the top:" We had two men who worked long hours and sometimes six days a week. They worked our job straight through; there were no interruptions to work other jobs. Ours was the focus. That attitude and approach were accompanied by a spirit of "can do" when something unexpected came up. A case in point: our medicine cabinet was to be inset in the wall above the sink, which in turn was adjacent to a wall on one side and a window on the other. We discovered a vent pipe from the former sink was already in that that space. The men relocated the pipe with about a half inch tolerance between studs. It wasn't just exhibiting good nature when there were surprises. They accommodated our requirements, some of which were "quirky," We wanted our pedestal sink to have no plumbing visible, although the standard for piping one is to have the supply lines and p-trap come from the adjacent wall. The men didn't question our concept; they just thought through how to make it happen and brought both the drain and supply lines up from below. Their response: "not a problem." This job was a joy, but we were the type of customers who wanted to participate. We were willing to work at selecting items and not be spoon fed. If one expects a contractor to do everything from selecting materials and fixtures, there may be other remodelers who are geared up to do the soup-to-nuts variety of service.

My former tenant destroyed many parts of the home I evicted her from. I was able to do most of the repairs myself, but the installation of the bathtub was beyond my ability. I contacted Tall Pines to estimate how much and quickly they could perform the job. He had a crew available within days and on site. When they arrived they did a quick overview and saw that the tub I had purchased as a like for like replacement would require extensive demolition of the apartment to allow them to get the tub in. They called Tim and he was at Home Depot on business at that moment and arranged for there to be replacement product ready. I was able to return the tub I had purchased and pick up the tub Tim had requested be place on a cart ready for me to purchase. When I got the tub and surround back, though the power was out in the area, his team rapidly got to work, in the dark to get the tub in. In a half hour power was back and they fired up tools to finish the job. Within four hours they had replaced the tub, erected new walls and left it ready for the painters. The crew was superb and I was pleased that Tim was able to come to the job site after he finished his business elsewhere to make sure it was going well and to see if I needed help with other tasks.
Description of Work: I have a rental that a tenant damaged and needed a contractor to install a replacement bath tub. I had purchased a tub already and was having it delivered. I contacted Tall Pines and Tim came out to give an estimate. He was very helpful and reasonable in his estimate and ability to quickly perform the work.

Tall Pines performed a great remodel of our master bathroom. This included extensive tile work, plumbing and drywall services, and shower door installation. We contracted with Tall Pines for our project after talking with and reviewing bids from several other companies. Their price was fair and their timeframe for the job met our needs, plus we just had a good feeling about them. We did some of the prep and demo work ourselves and had contracted with a cabinet company for our vanities to be installed before Tall Pines started their portion of the project. When things went sideways along the way with the cabinet company and we needed some drywall repair and some emergency plumbing services prior to the vanity installation, Tall Pines' staff were available to help us right away which kept our project on schedule. We were very pleased with the work that Tim and his crew completed for us. They showed up on time each day, were very pleasant and neat, and they worked fast and carefully. We've gone from a boring, outdated bathroom to a really stunning one! We would definitely recommend and use Tall Pines again.
