We were so pleased with the quality of work performed by Tall Pines Construction on our large, extensive bathroom remodel that we hired Tall Pines to install new flooring--engineered acacia wood--throughout our entire home (except for the bathrooms). It was a huge job, but we're so glad we did it. The floors look like a work of art. While doing the floors, Tall Pines also changed all our floor boards and interior trim around windows and doors to give our house a sharp new appearance and feel. The crew were a delight to work with and to have in our home. Late August while having some siding work and shingle replacement done on our exterior, rot was discovered in two areas. We called Tall Pines, and they quickly came out to the house, assessed the damage and repaired it before the rains set it. We believe in relationship building with service companies.Tall Pines is a company you can work with for the long run. We highly recommend them.
I was very pleased with the final product. The workman were on time they were respectful and always cleaned up during the project. Tim, the owner was quick to respond when I had any questions. I'm very pleased with the finished product. I would recommend and use again in the future.

This was a difficult project since we were dealing with a condo which had very strict rules on contractor access, work hours, etc. Tall Pines was very professional and responsive in all dealings. Workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. Very happy with the results.

The owner, Tim, was very helpful in step-by-step scheduling and everyone showed up on time and completed the work as contracted. I love everything that they did for my townhouse and would highly recommend them for your home improvement projects.

We first met Tim some 15 years ago when he did some work for our son’s Redmond condo. Fast forward to this year when we bought a condo that needed a lot of work. We did not even consider anyone else but called Tim and he made time for us. We trust him enough to just hand him a key to the house and told him in very general terms what we wanted. He and his crew did top-notch work for us. He is fair and honest, always checks in with us, and he also has great suggestions. Tim is our contractor for life.

Tim and the team at Tall Pines Construction were outstanding! We could not have asked for a friendlier group to work with. The craftmanship by the lead (Rogelio) was top notch. Tim took care of us for the entire project, made excellent suggestions, and worked closely with our design team. Everything was efficiently organized from the demo, to sub-contractors, inspectors, etc. We are very pleased with the end results and love our new bathroom!
Description of Work: We needed a completely new bathroom. This was a tear down to the studs with all new ceiling, walls, heated floors, plumbing, sliding pocket door, built-ins, electrical, venting, and exterior work to relocate a window.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Tall Pines Construction on our kitchen renovation project. I couldn't be happier with the results! From the very beginning, Tim, the owner, made us feel very comfortable with the process. His son Matt and daughter-in-law Araceli were also actively involved in the project. It was evident that this is a tight-knit, dedicated team. Their friendly demeanor and punctuality set a positive tone throughout the project and their open communication made me feel involved and informed every step of the way. The quality of work and attention to detail was definitely at a high level. The craftsmanship they displayed in my opinion was truly impressive. I would highly recommend Tall Pines to anyone looking for a construction company that combines family values with exceptional professionalism.

We were in a pinch to try to complete a new shower I rebuilt in time for visitors arriving in a month. I already rebuilt and waterproofed the shower and had all the tile in hand. We needed a skilled crafts person to complete the installation and setting. I reached out to Tim at Tall Pines upon referral from another happy frequent Tall Pines client and Tim responded quickly. Timing was perfect - Tall Pines had a small gap in their tile setting schedule and could send someone the next day! Master tile setter and craftsman and all around great person Reuben arrived the next day on time, prepared with everything he needed to get started. He pointed out a few things we would need and gave expert recommendations for laying out the tile pattern. He communicated each step he planned, checked in promptly whenever he needed input from us, and was welcoming of our eager eyes to see his progress. Each day the tiling progressed as expected revealing Reuben’s artistry and skill. Importantly, Reuben also ensured when he left each day that he cleaned the bathroom and outside work area so they were tidy and useable after he left. Tim also checked in periodically to see how the project was progressing. We are really happy with the result, feel fortunate they could fit this relatively small project in, and glad to have had the opportunity to work with Reuben and Tim, both great communicators. Tall Pines earned our confidence and trust and we will be calling them again to bid on some larger work we have planned.
Who are you going to trust to remodel your luxury home? We faced that question head-on when we moved to the area from out of state and purchased a home on Lake Washington. Our project was a whole house remodel with many moving parts. After interviewing four contractors, we chose Tall Pines because we felt we could trust them. Tall Pines is a family-run business that employs only experienced, highly skilled artisans. In addition, their business model for costing the job made good sense. Tall Pines did not let us down! The folks at Tall Pines listened carefully to our vision and brought it to life, on time and within our budget. We can honestly tell you that you can trust Tall Pines to remodel your luxury home. Jeff & Syl, Renton
Tall Pines completely remodeled our kitchen and living room. Tim was very easy to work with, all the way from the planning phase to the end of the project. He listened to what we wanted, had great ideas and was very knowledgable. We never felt pressured, either; Tim wanted to make sure they could do exactly what we wanted, up to our standards. The kitchen had a full wall separating it from the living room, which we opened up and replaced with a peninsula. There was a support post left over, which holds up another support beam along the ceiling, and our lead, Tom, suggested that we wrap them. We were a bit hesitant since we couldn't visualize it, and Tom surprised us by building a small prototype around a part of the post to show us what it would look like! We loved it, Tom wrapped both of them masterfully, and they look absolutely gorgeous now. We were really impressed with how customer-centric Tall Pines was, and how both Tim and Tom went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything they did.

Tim and his crew were amazing. Always very responsive. They took a lot of time to discuss any concerns and assure we were all on the same page. We completely gutted our kitchen and took down walls. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I would hire Tim again in a heart beat and I have zero reservation about recommending him. I took a long time to select a contractor and I am so glad I went with Tall Pines Construction!
Description of Work: We did a complete kitchen gut and remodel
We hired Tall Pines to remodel our main floor (kitchen/dining/living room) and master bath. Tall Pines removed a fireplace and two walls and installed a large support beam - turning three separate rooms into a great room. They installed cabinets, flooring, tile etc. in our kitchen and master bath. Both our kitchen/great room and master bath turned out better than we could have ever imagined - thanks to the advice from Tim, Brian and Kevin along the way. The contractors were very skilled/experienced, on time, reliable, friendly and accommodating to our family of 5 being here during construction, especially to our 4 year old who loves tools and construction. All of the subs Tall Pines uses are also fantastic - electricians, plumber, drywall/painters, countertops, and glass shower doors. We will definitely use Tall Pines again for and future remodeling projects.

[Member Name Removed], Thank you so much! You, [Member Name Removed] and the kids are absolutely the best! Happy New Year!!!
We hired Tall Pines for a large renovation of our 1920s (original) /1970s (addition) Craftsman-style home. For our project, we needed a ton of different work done - electrical rework, new plumbing, foundation cutting, insulation, gas lines, flooring, windows, structural work, and more, and we didn't have an entirely clear picture of what we needed done before getting started. And like most old houses, we found some surprises along the way that needed some creative solutions. Tim and his crews did a great job on every aspect of the work here. We were brought in for key decisions, and the work was performed exactly to our specifications at a spectacular level of quality. The tile work in particular is literally better than I thought possible! When we encountered unexpected problems, Tall Pines leads always had some good solutions in mind, and walked us through our options to figure out the best way to proceed. They were also quick and honest to identify and correct any errors made. I should also mention that the work overlapped COVID-19, which created some staffing challenges as well as delays due to the stay-at-home orders. This was navigated to the best of anyone's ability and I appreciated their handling of this difficult situation. Overall, I would highly recommend as a contractor, especially if you're looking for top-notch quality of work. The crews are highly skilled and I think their pricing fairly reflects the level of detail and expertise they bring to the job.

We worked with Tim and his team for remodeling our kitchen and for doing updates throughout our family room and dining room. This included removing a wall, converting a door to a window, and a complete kitchen remodel. Tim is professional, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. One of the things we loved most about Tim is he doesn't pressure you into anything. His priority is making sure it's done correctly and to your satisfaction. We never once felt that he was rushing to finish our project so he could move onto the next. We were so satisfied with the quality of work that we received that we expanded the scope of our project with him. We were particulary impressed with Brian who spent a lot of time at our project. He is so skilled, detailed, and patient. Matt is so helpful with keeping the place as tidy as possible, and Alfredo was so detailed in his painting. We felt good about every one of Tim's employees being in our home. They were kind, flexible, and thoughtful with their work day to accomodate our schedule with a young baby. Additionally, Tim had so many great referrals for other needs we had that were not within his scope of work. All in all, we would definitely recommend Tall Pines Construction.

I have worked with Tall Pines Construction for years on numerous projects. There hasn't been a job they can't handle and always leave the jobsite tidy. They have Tall Pines Cleaning come in at the end of the job to do a final clean. The craftsmanship is impressive, they take time to make sure everything finishes perfectly. When challenged with something out of the norm they tackle it with confidence, skill and precision. I highly recommend Tall Pines Construction and Tall Pines Cleaning.

I want to encourage anyone who might be considering a bath, kitchen or more major remodel that Tall Pines would be an excellent choice. They have finished doing my master bath and I am extremely pleased. The team was very respectful to both me and my home. Most importantly the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Brian was the lead on my bath remodel, so because of the confidence I have with him and the team I am going to now update my kitchen. The attention to detail and execution was outstanding. To qualify my opinion, I have been around construction and interior design most of my career. I would also like to mention that the owners Tim and his wife Michelle are a great team. He is the overall construction manager and Michelle is an Interior designer who can assist with working through the details. She was invaluable to me to assess my choices and give me input. I would also like to mention that their team of subcontractors were also excellent. I have taken advantage of their cleaning service. She does a fabulous job and I have scheduled monthly cleanings.

Our project started with the intent on updating our 80’s kitchen. We want to thank Tim, Michele, Brian, and the entire staff at Tall Pines for turning our vision into a reality. Their experienced crew was professional and courteous, with a careful attention to detail. They presented us with creative solutions, and we chose to expand the scope of our project. Now the first floor of our house is beautiful! We have a second story that also needs updating and we look forward to working with the Tall Pines staff again.

I hired Tall Pines Construction to remodel my laundry room by adding a toilet and reconfiguring the cabinets, as well as installing radiant heat in the downstairs family room and tiling the entire downstairs and entry-level landing. From the start, the owner Tim Pagatto, was very responsive to my text messages so I was always able to get my questions answered quickly. His crew, Andy and Thomas, did a great job demoing the existing floors and prepping the floor for the radiant heat. I don’t think I could have asked for better tile setters – the tile looks amazing. There was a lot of finish details that needed attending to and Andy was always willing (and able) to do what needed to be done. It was always a bright spot in the day when Matt dropped off supplies or picked up construction debris – he was so considerate. Tim’s subs were also excellent. I’ve worked with many contractors over the years and I can’t recommend Tall Pines Construction enough. The tile looks amazing and my laundry room is exactly what I hoped for.
Description of Work: Laundry room remodel, radiant heat and tile laid, carpet installed
I was introduced to Tall Pines in December of 2018. Prior to that, I had gotten bids from four other local contractors. One of the things we wanted to do in our kitchen remodel was remove a 24” wall. We asked each contractor we interviewed if that wall was load bearing. All four assured us it was not. Tall Pines told us they would not touch the wall unless we had a structural engineer inspect it. We did, and it was the best $400 we ever spent. The wall was indeed a load-bearing wall. Had we had it removed for the remodel, we would likely have had serious and expensive consequences some years in the future. The bids that we received just for remodeling the kitchen ranged from $70000-100000. We have used contractors who did cost certain bids in the past. Generally, the end cost was at least 25% higher due to “change orders”. When we talked to Tim, the owner of Tall Pines, he repeatedly stated that he would not work up a bid. He told us his company worked on a “time and materials” basis only. He told us the hourly rates for leads and support workers. They were very much in line with the current market conditions. Tall Pines’ contract was delightfully simple. We hired them to do the kitchen remodel. When all was said and done, Tall Pines demolished the kitchen, reinstalled the old cabinets in another room, removed a zero clearance fireplace, installed three new Milguard windows in other rooms, and installed the new kitchen for far less than the other four contractors bid for just doing the kitchen and they did it all IN LESS THAN FIVE WEEKS! Tim sent us an invoice each week. We had questions on a couple charges. Tim answered our concerns immmediately and made adjustments when appropriate. We were never in the dark about project costs. To summarize, although it can be scary entering into a contract with no bottom line established, we have no doubt that our choice was the best one we could have made. The three men that worked in our house were capable, pleasant, and efficient. Brian was our lead. His time management skills were amazing as was his attention to detail. Tim does a truly amazing job of managing his crews to the benefit of his customers.

They were very friendly They listened to what we have to say. They gave us suggestion. They were willing to go up, they told us if you add things up it will get up and we ended up adding. Although we have not agreed some things but they respected that. His work was very professional. It was on time. Paid attention to detail.
Description of Work: They did most of our kitchen work remodeled. He did everything but the floor. Painting, electrical, plumbing, kitchen cabinet. They got people that worked for them specialized in cabinet and countertop.
Cannot say enough great things about Tim and his crew. We did a kitchen and bathroom combo to our house, with a $100,000 budget and it was not only money well spent but unbelievably easier than I ever imagined as this can be such a disruptive project for a small family! They were amazingly prompt, on time, clean and professional and I always felt that Tall Pines had my best interests in mind when we priced the work, fixtures, materials you name it. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Tall pines performed our master bathroom renovation back in 2015 and at the time, I gave them an A rating. They did a superb job so it appeared. Unfortunately, they did not lay our shower floor tile down correctly and it has just been deteriorating and breaking out. It has come to a point that so much of the grout is coming free that the river rocks themselves are breaking free. I have made multiple attempts via phone and email to get them to come out to give us a quote on how much it would be to repair the project since I wanted to give them a chance to redeem their work quality. Unfortunately they have not replied to any of my emails and the the one call I did get through to them, Tim was leaving town that day and wanted to touch base at a later date. He has not returned any calls past that point.

Apologies for not being more responsive on this [Member Name Removed]. I have had to be out of town quite a lot these last couple of months and clearly didn't do a good job following up with you upon my return. I did not realize the urgency or true condition of the shower floor. By the appearance from your photo's I'd be certain the issue is grout related and not connected to laying the floor pebbles. Regardless, I would never charge you to make repairs on something you've already paid me for. If you would still like me to stop by I'd be happy to. Tim
We were looking for a full-service contractor who understood the high-end needs of our neighborhood, and who would also help us with design. We found such a contractor in Tall Pines. Co-owner Michele applied her creative touch, and we credit Rene, who managed the project, with many of the fine touches in design that occurred to him as the project went along. The crew was clean and very professional, protected our home from dust with walls of plastic, and protected our floors by laying-down cardboard wherever the crew was likely to be walking. They used excellent subs: very good work from electrical, plumbing, tile-work. We loved their tile supplier: Mindy at DTO gave us wonderful advice. We also had an excellent experience with their stone supplier/installer, and we were happy with the company that fabricated and installed the glass shower surrounds. The supplier they initially recommended for plumbing fixtures, however, didn't work out for us. This is something they could work on. The project went-on a lot longer than we anticipated, but, in fairness, the scope of the project grew, for example we asked them to raise ceilings and re-route heating ducts etc. The costs also ballooned, partly due to how the man-hours add-up when there are multiple workmen on the site continuously. Tall Pines labor costs (which including the tile-work, which was their own guy) came-out to just over half the total project cost. But this is a good thing: they were committed to getting the job done, rather than letting it languish like some contractors might do. We would absolutely use them again.
