SECURITY SAFE & LOCK

I called on Saturday to set up an appointment to have them come to my house to rekey 3 deadbolts and 2 or 3 door sets. Bill answered and said that he could come out today at around 3:30. They called when -they were on their way and arrived when they said they would be there. When they saw that my shoes were off as I opened the door, they took their shoes off without begin asked. They gave me some options regarding how I could have the various locks re-keyed and were good about explaining what they were doing as they did it. They were polite, professional, and clean. Bill asked me if I was an Angie's List member and said I didn't need to print the 15% off coupon, he'd just deduct it from the bill. He applied the coupon by not charging me for the keys, so I guess they're worth $22.50. It's wonderful to have working locks and fewer keys so conveniently. Wish I'd done this sooner.

This is my first Angies List experience and I have to say it was perfect - from start to finish! Sherry was exceptionally helpful and speedy in helping me get a good quote via email BEFORE they came out to do the work (we have european doors and had a locksmith come out a month or so ago, quoting us $20 per lock & after he got here said they would be $60 per lock!! Security did it for $28 per lock!) Aaron came out to do the work and was professional, courteous, trustworthy and very helpful - even suggesting an additional lock/key for our housekeeper that could be easily changed if we had to get a new housekeeper. Something I would have never thought of! I highly recommend this company for any lock or safe work that you need done!

Had a non-functioning bolt in front door. Bolt had separated from its pulling mechanism. They gave great suggestions (free) about how to solve this problem. Offered to come out immediately if I couldn't solve it myself. Solved the issue, and bought the replacement bolt assembly from them. Even gave them some free ale for taking time with me knowing it might not lead to a sale. Kudos !!

The provider was prompt and thorough with the estimate and the installation. The office staff even rushed the order because they knew the parts supplier had a price increase pending. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. The price was competitive with other bids I received. The job was fairly standard except the garage which required replacing very old hardware on a steel door. Even though it took extra time to do this work, there was no extra charge over the bid price. I was very pleased with this business and would recommend them.

From the scheduler, to the next day service, to the professional repairman who was 10 minutes early and went above and beyond our expectations.. The entire process was great. While he was there we asked for an additional repair to be done that he needed to order a part to complete, when the part arrived we were not charged another service fee to come out and complete the repair!

The serviceman that came today was very professional, early for arrival, called ahead of time, worked with our existing locks to save us some money, out of our house within 30 minutes! The estimate was withiin 5.00 of our final price.. They also squeezed us in for the appointment as our keys and drivers license had been stolen and we were afraid the criminals were going to come and rob our house. The builder had given the keys to hundred different sub contractors before I moved into my house. Shortly after I moved in, probably within the first year, I had a couple of people in my house working. I had a spare house key that was sitting on the counter and then I noticed that was gone. So I went and called these people to change the locks on my door. I don't think that anybody picked the key up and I knew I didn't move it but I could not find the key. You just never know when somebody is in your home. I'm usually very cautious and pretty watchful. I don't let people roam around my house or anything. The same thing happened with my neighbor. She had a housekeeper and she put the key in there one day but she wasn't home. She let her housekeeper to come into her home and the housekeeper said she put the key back in the milk box but my friend never found it. This company came out pretty quick that same afternoon and rekeyed the locks for me. It was really inexpensive and they charge per lock. I have a lot of sliding glass doors and the price was very reasonable. They are a very good company. I've used them in my prior home too. They were very reasonable.

I have worked with them for a couple years and have always found them to be honest and trustworthy and when I needed my house rekeyed they were out here very quickly and were very professional about the whole matter.

We were given a quote for the work on the phone. Their technician arrived on time and disassembled all of the locks, and brought the cylinders out to his truck, where all the rekey work was done. Afterward he reassembled all the locks. He handled the job very professionally, and we were changed exactly what we were quoted. I'd definitely use them next time we need locksmith services.

The appointment was scheduled easily and quickly by phone. The locksmith arrived exactly on time and after a quick walkthrough of the doors involved he set to work. Work was done quickly and the area was clean of debris afterwards. No issues at all.

Everything went great. Aaron arrived on time, had a friendly attitude, finished the job quickly and cleaned up everything. He explained what he was doing as he worked. Changing the lock on the front door was a bit of a challenge and he needed to use a special jig, but the door and the lock both came out great. I will definitely call Security Safe & Lock in the future.

We had a broken lever-handle lock on a chain-link fence gate to a community pool. I scheduled a time in the afternoon when I would be home. The morning of the appointment, the locksmith called and asked how to get to the pool -- five hours before I had scheduled the appointment. Since I was at work, I had to reschedule the appointment. Several days later, I again scheduled a time in the afternoon to meet the locksmith. Once again, he called four hours before our appointment and announced he was ready to come to the pool. This time, however, I happened to be off work early and was able to meet him there. He took apart the handle, shook his head, and said the lock was broken (duh!), but the problem was that the gate slamming shut broke the latch, and that we needed to get the gate fixed with a hydraulic closing mechanism. He also recommended we replace the lock. A month later (and $700 poorer), we had the gate fixed. I called to order a new handle & lock, only to find that the model we have costs $400 to replace. As we had already outspent our budgeted amount fixing the gate, I balked and wondered if the handle and lock could be fixed. In order to assess whether it could be fixed (which the locksmith did not say either way earlier), I had to take the lock to the Bellevue store for them to look at it. It turns out we only needed a new latch, which cost us $56, and they had that part in stock. I took the old handle and new latch and installed the lock myself.

Overall the process was relatively quick and pleasant. I had anticipated having the whole door lock replaced and paying a big price plus making adjustments in providing family members with a proper key to use once they got home. The Technician assured me he could adjust a new lock to match our old keys, if necessary. Please see commentary above for details of the whole job.

They were very professional and they took my security very seriously. They offer a very high quality line of products. They seemed to us to be very expensive, however I did not shop around.

Same day service provided, technician came within the time frame allotted. He removed the lock from the door and quickly rekeyed it and made new keys, reinstalled the lock and the keys worked great better than the previous keys (for the same lock).

Great! Came out to measure and check and advise, then made notes. Aaron asked questions, discussed the alternatives, and got the measurements he needed. A technician returned at our agreed time and installed the locks correctly and promptly. We had to bother him to pick then replace the lock on our mailbox because of an unexpected problem and he performed the work with no trouble at all. While we expected to pay a lot for high-quality locks, we didn't think we'd need to spend so much for making copies of keys. Otherwise, we're completely satisfied.

IT WAS EASY TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT WITHIN THE RESTRICTIONS OF OUR SCHEDULES. THE DIRECTIONS FOR WHAT WE WANTED WERE FOLLOWED WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS. JOB WAS DONE ON TIME.
