Description of Work: After waiting 2 full weeks for an appointment, when I showed up they told me the replacement windshield had not arrived from their warehouse. Apparently they don't check such things a day or more in advance, when they could correct it. And they apparently don't feel any need to tell the customer before he shows up and wastes his time. All they offered me was a new appointment, with no compensation for my wasted time. I have used them successfully in the past (hence the overall D rating and B quality), although I now see both then and now I could get the work done elsewhere, with the same quality glass, for a better price. I will do that in the future.

+ 0 moreEverything they said they were going to do, they did. No surprises or changes in price that was quoted on the internet. They offered verbal dos and donts for the windshield replacement for the first two days, as well as providing a printed version. They answered any questions I had, although I was a little unclear on the warranty - having never had to do this before. They finished in less time than they said, which is a pleasant surprise.

+ 0 moreReally fantastic experience end-to-end. I was refered to Bret at Safelite by my State Farm agent, since the likely cost of the glass repair was lower than my deductible. Bret did a great job talking me through the differences of and quot;Dealerand quot; glass vs OEE glass, and explaining the overall repair process. I had to call their and quot;call centerand quot; to get a quote and scheduled service at their shop, but even that was a pleasant experience. The call center is small enough that when I had to call back I could say and quot;I just spoke to Caseyand quot; and they knew exactly who I was talking about. Day of service was issue free as well. Replacement took about 90minutes. Everyone at the shop was friendly. The tech that worked on my car even came out as I was leaving to provide some recommendations on removing the duct tape residue from my and quot;patchand quot; job! I will be returning to these guys for all my auto glass repair needs in the future.
Description of Work: Provider replaced the rear glass on my Toyota Rav4 with OEE glass from PPG (i.e. PGW auto glass).

+ -1 moreWe made the appointment, which was promptly attended to. Existing window was carefully removed (no glass inside the car), and the new window was put in, sealed, and, importantly, tested before driving off. We were also advised not to wash the car for a day or so, to make sure that the waterproofing compound wasn't compromised. They did a top job, and we have no hesitation with using them (but hopefully not too soon..) in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced Mazda window with auto rain sensor in it, which had star shaped chip and a crack in it.

+ -1 moreAfter failed communication and a lack of organization, I decided to not obtain Safelite Autoglass for any services.
Description of Work: During the week of January 11th, I attempted to obtain a quote from Safelite Autoglass to replace my front windshield on my Lexus CT because I was referred to them from my Lexus dealer. The initial conversation with the Safelite call center representative began very promising. The representative started to ask general questions , i.e. make, model, and year of my vehicle, and while compiling this information she proceeded to ask about specific features of my particular vehicle since Lexus CTs have two options regarding their windshields which have either a rain sensing feature or a heated option. The rep. began to give me a short tutorial on how to determine which and what to look for on the glass. After asking a couple of insurance questions, the rep. then said that she would have to confer with another person before she would be able to give me the quote for my windshield replacement. Due to a technical issue, my call got cut-off and I attempted to reestablish communication with Safelite and the rep. I was originally dealing with. During my attempt to reestablish communication, my second call was answered by a different rep. I gave the second representative the name of the original person to which I was dealing and asked if I could be connected and the second rep. stated that there was no need and the first rep. would give me a call back shortly. I waited awhile and received no call back regarding my quote. I gave it a couple of days, then decided to endeavor to reestablish contact with Safelite myself. I talked to a third representative, and was directed to call the number for a local branch of Safelite. At the time, I was beginning to get frustrated with the lack of communication and organization so I called the Bellevue Safelite Autoglass location directly, which was a different number than what the third rep. had instructed me to do. I spoke with an associate at the Bellevue location and tried to explain the situation and the Bellevue associate informed me that he couldn't help me but that he would transferr me to a different person. After connecting with the next representative, I explained the situation again and she told me that she would get back to me with a quote. After waiting several days for a reply and a quote, I received neither and I decided to abandon my attempt to do business with Safelite Autoglass.

+ -1 moreI was able to get a quote online and could have scheduled the appointment at the same time. In the end I called for the appointment, spoke with a very friendly company rep. who offered several time/date slots, and ensured they had the proper windshield. I arrived at the scheduled time, dropped off the car where they went over the details with me (price and work to be done). They phoned me when the work was completed and I picked up the car. They cleaned ALL the windows AND vacuumed the floors. The whole process went very smooth and everyone along the way was professional and friendly. I would use them again without hesitation.

+ -1 moreSafelite was easy to reach. Scheduling was easy. As long as you mention who your auto insurance is through and that you are paying out of pocket, they will lower the price. The original price they quote is very unreasonable. The technician came out to my home and repaired the chip. While he waits for the seal to dry, he cleans the exterior windows and vacuums the interior of the car (nice touch!). The mark on the windshield is noticeable, but it is cheaper to pay them to repair the chip rather than pay for an entire windshield.
Description of Work: I had a chip in my front windshield. This was the second chip I had gotten on my window within a couple of months. I am a repeat customer because they did a fine job at a decent price the first time. A technician came out and repaired the chip.

Description of Work: I used them to replace my broken windscreen. They're quite busy (reads: good) so their schedule is tight. I got the time slot after a couple of days. While it took them longer than expected to fix the windscreen, they did a great quality job, and stayed behind 5PM to see it through. They also offer a mobile option where they'd come over and take your car, and bring it back with the work completed, for an additional $25, but I didn't take the option. Would recommend them to others.

+ -1 moreI don't remember how much I spent on their services because it was covered under insurance. They came to the house and they were very prompt. They were very professional and very courteous. I had a brand new car done and it looks like a brand new car when they were done. They replaced it with OEM glass and it was like as if it never had an accident. It looks absolutely perfect. They were excellent. I will absolutely use their services again in the future if I needed to.
Description of Work: I used Safelite Autoglass for auto glass. I last used their services a couple of months ago. They replaced my car's front windshield. They replaced it with OEM glass.

+ -1 moreThey did not perform the work nor charge me a fee. I called the dealership and they told me that it was not true. Any auto glass company should be able to perform the work. I hired another company because Safelite told me they could not do it.
Description of Work: They came out to replace a windshield. They could not perform the work because of the configurations of the windshield and the wipers on my Mercedes. They said it had to be performed by a dealer.

This is a great option, especially with kids who would not be at all patient in the service center waiting area. It took them about an hour to replace the windshield and clean up. They did forget to replace the windshield wipers as I had requested but didn't charge me for them and offered free ones if I wanted to stop by their service center. I did and they put them on there. Very easy and attentive.

+ -1 moreI booked my appointment for 'at Safelite' replacement on a Wednesday for the Saturday that week, there was no emergency as my windshield had 'just' a 10in crack. I arrived at 9am and was gone by 10:30am, staff was courteous and it looks like a job well done, and just in case it is guaranteed for peace of mind. I would have no problem to refer this Bellevue Safelite location to a friend.

+ -1 moreVery happy with the repairs and having it done at our home. Would not be able to drive the truck to a shop if they had required it due to visibility through the shattered glass.
Description of Work: A tree branch hit and shattered my windshield on 1/15/11. Called my insurance company and they got me an appointment with Safelite (my choice from their list). I could have had it done earlier but the 19th was the day I had an open time period. Patrick, the technician, came out to our home and replaced the windshield. The total bill for parts and labor was $258.66 but our deductible was only $60.00. He also cleaned the front seats to ensure he left no debris behind and cleaned all of the exterior windows. He explained the safety information before leaving. The repairs are guaranteed for defects and installation. Very happy with the repairs.

+ -1 moreSAFELITE AUTO GLASS GOT ME IN THAT AFTERNOON. THEY PERFORMED THE TASK PROFESSIONALLY AND IN THE TIME FRAME QUOTED. THERE WAS ALSO SOME DAMAGE TO THE PAINT WHERE THE ROCK GRAZED THE CAR AND THEY TOUCHED IT UP FREE OF CHARGE.
Description of Work: THE WINDOW IN OUR 2002 CHEVY SUBURBAN WAS CRACKED BY A FLYING ROCK EARLIER THAT DAY. THE WINDOW WAS REPLACED AND SOME TOUCH UPS PERFORMED.
