The service rep tried very hard to fix fireplace without having to install new parts. He was great.

Rusty was on time, super helpful, very patient with all our questions. We also love working with the rest of his team.

Nice guy. Knew his stuff. I wish I had just installed new gas logs. Cost of fixing = cost of new gas log fireplace.

The tubes were clogged with residue and the older parts were not immediately available in the area. He cleaned them by hand (timely) and did not charge any extra for the time over run. Bonus, I did not have to buy any new parts. Works like a charm. RCS will be my only call in the future for any fireplace issue!

We called for RCS to help us out when, after several years and many visits & $$$ from another vendor (the original installer of the fireplace) trying to get the pilot light to stay on. They (original installer) never managed to take care of the problem, but they did keep installing parts we did not need. They made it seem like an unsolvable problem. RCS came in, and within a couple of minutes fixed the pilot light problem. $200. That was the first visit. We were thrilled!! They explained the solution and how to keep it from happening again. At the same time, they cleaned up the whole fireplace and even cleaned the glass doors. We asked them to come back and install a remote control device. On that visit the bad pipe at the back of the fireplace was replaced and the remote control installed. At every turn RCS stayed right with us in scheduling and pricing of the work. $578.00 The fireplace is working without any problems. I believe other customers have had similar problems and RCS has come through every time. So, if you are reading this and wondering if you should change and try RCS, I would recommend that you do. It would have saved us $600.

This was my first and last experience with what seems to be (from other reviews) an A+ company. It started off great. Everyone I spoke to on the phone, and the technician I dealt with were all very friendly, helpful and professional. We had our free-standing gas fireplace cleaned/serviced with no apparent issues. The technician even rewired our thermostat. The next day we left town for a week, and on our return when using the fireplace, we began to smell gas. More specifically, gas was coming from the back of the unit while the pilot light was ignited, which it never had done before. I called the company to discuss the situation, and was told that a technician would call me back that day and walk me through any possible fixes I could try myself. Sounded promising! I didn't hear anything until the following day, when I received a call from the receptionist stating that if I wanted the technician to come back out and look at the unit, I would have to pay another service charge. I quite politely explained that it seemed like the issue only began to happen after the service, and that I just wanted them to make sure that everything was put back together correctly. I was told that their technicians are very careful, and that if I don't want to pay I need to call PSE to come and administer a gas leak test. I told her that I didn't need a test because I know for a fact that the leak is coming from the back of the gas fireplace. I was once again told that I would be charged a standard service call fee to have the technician come out, and would have to book an appointment on a day when they were "in my area". We're on the verge of winter, I totally get that they are very busy. But I explained to the receptionist that I didn't think it was out of line for me to ask that they simply stand behind their work and re-inspect the job they had done, and I was told AGAIN that their technicians are very careful and that my two options were to either book an appointment and pay again, or call PSE. At this point, I told her I would be taking my business elsewhere. If I'm going to pay for a technician to come out either way, I'll put me money behind a company that takes service seriously, stands behind their work and takes care of their customer. They could have, so easily, made me a loyal customer for life with a different response. Such a disappointment!

Went super well. I was lucky to get an appointment. They came right on time and was done in less than an hour. They went above and beyond with retouching the paint along with giving us advice to prevent another service call.

She said she would call me back soon to set up an appointment. She kept me waiting for four days and then called me back said no appointment can be made at this time.

Mark arrived on time and went straight to work. He was friendly and advised me of what he was going to do and made recommendations about caring for my unit. He went about his work efficiently and I was impressed with the finished product. I would have this company back again.

Provider was on-time, did the job quickly and cleanly. He showed me some things I did not know about my insert so I can do some of the cleaning myself next time. He was very courteous and completed his work in a very timely manner.

We purchased a Big Deal for Gas Fireplace cleaning and tune up. The tech arrived on time and was polite. It turns out that the guys who installed our stone work around the gas fireplace insert mortared the door of the fireplace shut! Since the technician could not open it no work was performed. :-( The overall grade of "A" is misleading because work wasn't done but the system won't let me leave w/o giving an overall score. I don't have any reason to give them a high or low grade.

It went really well. They were booked out a little. They contacted me quickly but it was over a month before they were able to make it out. They did what they said they were going to do. I didn't end up paying anything extra to them beyond the big deal price. Unfortunately, my fireplace doesn't work after they cleaned it up. But they had warned me that that was a possibility. They've given me a quote to actually get it working again. I'm still happy with their service.

I purchase the $99 Gas Log Fireplace Tune-Up, Cleaning, and Inspection deal. I have gone back and forth on how to rate this provider. The gentlemen that came to clean the fireplace was very professional and polite, he even put booties on to come in the house. He took apart the fireplace to clean it and after a while of struggling realized there was an issue. Apparently the previous owners or the original installers glued the seal around the glass window. Because of this the glass from the fireplace could not be removed to clean. The gentlemen made a call to the office to get some guidance on how to proceed. He explained my options 1) cut the seal but there was a risk that the glass might break and I'd have to replace that for a couple hundred dollars or 2) leave as-is. I didn't really have an option but to leave as-is since I didn't want to buy a new glass for the fireplace at this time. The outside of the glass was wiped down and vacuumed. The gentlemen apologized for not being able to complete the cleaning but there was nothing he could really do. He did the best job he could. Before he left he told me someone from the office should be contacting me for a partial refund since they didn't provide the services I paid for. This never happened thus my lower ratings on responsiveness and quality. They did send someone out to come look at the fireplace and attempt to clean it and he did what he could. I don't mind paying what I did for their time but if you tell someone to expect a call to go over the service, you should call them back.

It went great and they did a good job not much more to add

The technician was very helpful! He explained what he was doing and gave us a lot of tips on how to maintain the fireplace. He fixed some of the connections that were loose and caused our fireplace to randomly turn off. He also cleaned everything out. It looks and works great now!

Service provider was prompt, friendly, clean, and did excellent work. Could you ask for more?

Fair -- in the process of cleaning, some of the paint on the top frame of the fireplace was removed; also there has been a strong odor of natural gas since the cleaning.

The technician showed up exactly on time if not a tad early and was extremely respectful of my home (whipped out the paper "booties" before entering). He was thorough but quick in assessing the condition of my fireplace unit (I inherited the unit with my home's purchase and did not know if it had previously been serviced). He quickly diagnosed an issue with delayed ignition (dirty connection in wall switch) and took the time to show me the inner workings of my unit, what to do in certain situations and what the built-in safety features were. Who knew I had a flame height adjustment knob behind the front panel! He stayed long enough to make sure the unit was igniting properly and staying on - and the cleaning he did made it look brand new! Best value for the money on an Angie's List Coupon Deal that I've received to-date!

I was not home for when they came, but the job was done quickly, the fireplace works great and having the remote control is a nice add on feature I wish I had earlier.

he removed the frount of the fireplace and clean all the part in the gas line and clean the thing the gas come in for the log to egnight . he all so painted the part that were starting to rust. he clean the box and then put it back to geather after he clean the glass and told us what not to use on it. he turned of the pilet light and told my husband how to turn it back on this winter
