RCS Fireplace

Prepaid last year for an annual service. Tried to get a service call for maintenance and they do not answer phone or respond to emails. Looks to me that they are out of business and our money lost.

We just had our fireplace installed by RCS Fireplace and they did a wonderful job. Rusty and the crew were honest, professional, reliable, fast, efficient and very easy to work with. We had a horrible leak which went down our chase and ended in our crawlspace - he took care of fixing and replacing it all. They were respectful and understanding with our schedule as we work out of our home due to the pandemic. Rusty and his crew took all the necessary measures for safety (masking, wearing PPE equipment while at our home). Their work speaks for itself, we are very grateful and pleased with their work. Highly recommend!

on 11/20/18 RCS came to my newly purchased home to inspect and clean the two fireplaces. The work was done promptly and, i thought, to my satisfaction. Today, 12/31/20, another company came to inspect and clean the units. The technician took the metal casing off of the upstairs fireplace and found the gasket was not attached to the top of the unit and needed replacing. He found a similar problem with the gasket in the downstairs unit. Apparently the technician from RCS had not checked either of them gaskets. The new technician advised me that the improperly fitting gaskets were a carbon monoxide risk and turned off my pilot lights until new gaskets could be installed. The gasket problem should have been discovered two years ago when RCS Fireplace came to inspect the units.

Rusty was simply fantastic. First, showed up on time. Took care to keep the house clean. Was very knowledgeable and very personable. Fixed the problem, added a fixture to ensure the fireplace would continue to work properly and gave some much need tips and information about the fireplece. The orice was very reasonable. We would hire RCS if ever need fireplace work in the future. Absolutely fantastic service!

Unable to service before December 2. Two hundred and twenty five dollars to just look at it.

RCS Fires Solutions (Auburn, WA) is the BEST!!! When I moved into my new home and needed standard yearly service on my gas fireplace, I contacted a different local company, and my experience was HORRIBLE! The guy that showed up was rude, made a mess in my house, and then after a few minutes of tinkering around claimed my fireplace insert needed to be replaced, which he said would cost thousands of dollars. I was sure that he was lying, given that my fireplace had always worked fine before he showed up. It was clear that he just thought I was a sucker. I then found RCS online and contacted them. Rusty answered the phone and was so helpful. Right away, I knew that I could trust him. He listened to me rant, and set up an appointment for the next day. Ryan showed up, and WOW! What a difference. He was polite, friendly, and respectful of my home. He took off his shoes, put down a tarp, and went to work. He did an amazing job cleaning my fireplace, and even went above and beyond by spray-painting the interior for me to make it look better. It literally looked like a new fireplace after he was done. The folks at RCS are not only knowledgeable and professional, but they are also honest, friendly, and very reasonably priced. I can't recommend them enough, so much that RCS is the only company I have ever taken the time to write a review about. (See after and before photos attached!)

Had used them before and was pleased with the service. Called twice and left messages requesting service and a call back (as no one ever answered the phone even during business hours). I never received a call back. So disappointed in their lack of responsiveness and decided to go with another company who returned my call.

Rusty has installed a gas insert in 2014 and has provided outstanding service on the unit for the past six years.

We called during the busiest time of year (right before Christmas), and they were able to provide service within two weeks. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and got our fireplace running again. From our perspective, they were inexpensive, yet very professional. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Service for two homes next door to each other. The technician left both fireplaces unusable. they sent someone else out to repair. The repair was not done correctly and neither fireplaces work the way they did before RCS touched them.

They did an excellent job, smoke no longer leaks into the house. They were friendly and professional, and the job was done in a timely manner. The rock.

The problem was quickly diagnosed by the technicians and now it works great. The job was done in under an hour and included cleaning of the glass and installation of of a pilot shield all within the regular 1 hour service fee (about $160). They arrived promptly and were very professional. I was very satisfied and have decided to sign-up and prepay for a tuneup next year at a discounted rate of $105. Highly recommend RCS. Thanks.

Worked together so the technician's time travelling to our area would be efficient for other scheduled services. Kept my wife informed on what was necessary and what is being performed. On time, cleaned up, great communication, and competitive price - checks all the boxes. Recommend

Technician Raoul found and replaced all corroded electrical connectors, tuned up and did an excellent cleaning on our gas fire place. Worked like a charm afterwards!!

Great. Zach diagnosed the problem within minutes (I was using the wrong instruction to start the pilot light). He cleaned the area and made sure I understood the instructions, should this happen again. I totally trusted him and his assessment. I expected to pay a service call fee and felt this was reasonable.

The gentleman was wonderful. He reconnected the stove and respectfully answered all our questions regarding the unit. Well worth the price.

They did a great job and were very helpful. The technician had my old address. So, we had a slight delay. But, they quickly rescheduled and did a great job!

Showed up on time and was knowledgeable and friendly. Fixed the sticky valve right off. Didn't have the part to fix the noisy fan and said he'd research it and get back to me. Been nearly 3 weeks.

The struggle was not the technicians fault, but the fault of the older model fireplace that was very hard to work on. He did a good job and was fair about what he charged for the work, but it was not an easy installation. We bought the house 2 years ago and this is the first time we tried to fire up the unit. It ended up being a little more expensive due to a full valve replacement. But that's because the unit was not well maintained for many, many years and this is what happens. This company was great to work with and I would highly recommend them if you need work or an inspection done on your gas fireplace. If the valve did not need replacement this would have probably been under $200.00.

The serviceman worked for a solid hour fixing and cleaning our fireplace. It now looks like new and works wonderfully. We will certainly hire RCS Fireplace in the future. In fact, we opted for their maintenance agreement, so they will be coming out next year to do an annual cleaning. Both cleanings are included in the cost I have listed below.

Raoul and Bob showed up in the time frame in which was scheduled. Raoul conducted his work very meticulously. He put down a protective floor covering and cleaned the fireplace wall, examined all working parts, cleaned and replaced the glass window. He noticed that my blower looked out of place and he made the appropriate adjustments. Raoul answered my questions I had and I was comfortable with his answer. I was very pleased with RCS services and would consider hiring them again.

The men were professionals. Excellent, will be a long term customer!
