Services we offer
We provide high quality, high performance PCs, laptops, workstations, and servers.
Services we don't offer
We do not provide cheap product. We want to be a place where you can shop without concern regarding whether your selections are high quality. We do not offer tablets or printers. We have a sole focus -- build high quality PCs, and do our job well. Everything else would distract us from that goal, so we don't do it!
I've had my pc for over 1 1/2 yrs now and am as happy with it as ever. Zero problems, and when they say "quiet", it really is! This was a review I wrote for ResellerRatings, and I see no reason to change anything now. "Without a doubt the best remote/online buying experience I've ever had. From designing the PC to the over the phone review I received, the whole process exceeded expectations. I was saved some money on a few component choices and used it for some "quiet" upgrades and the result was amazing! I was also pleasantly surprised with their pricing. I priced out similar pcs from Dell, HP CyberPower, Alienware, Falcon etc, and Pugot was surprisingly less expensive than most (way less in some cases) and close enough to others that the difference was negligible. If you have any doubts, erase them. Pugot is a class company from start to finish."

August 2010: My computer shutdown out of the blue and after turning it back on, it shutdown again. I opened the case to discover that there was a leak from the Liquid Cooling Bracket Valve of the 2nd Graphics Card installed. I immediately emailed Puget Systems describing my issue and within 10 minutes I received an RA number to return my system*. After sending my Computer back to Puget Systems, the liquid cooling system was repaired and the computer returned at NO COST to me**. During all this, the Support Technician kept me up to date with what was going on and emailed me when my System was put on the truck to be returned to me. The system was returned 3 weeks later and worked flawlessly until January 2012. In early January 2012, I once again noticed a leak, this time from one of the hoses that supply the coolant to the CPU cooling module. I emailed Puget immediately and this time I asked Puget if they could have UPS pick up the Computer at my Home, since I no longer am able to drive, and I agreed to reimburse them for the shipping cost going to Puget Systems. The President of Puget Systems, Richard Millard, agreed to my request. I received an email from the Support Technician, letting me know that they'd received my Computer. A few hours later I received a follow up email explaining that the Sound Card and Motherboard had been damaged and could not be fixed. Puget replaced both the Sound Card and Motherboard at no cost to me. Since my original Motherboard was no longer offered by ASUS, Puget Systems replaced my Motherboard with a brand new Motherboard, again at no cost to me. If this situation was with any other Company, they would have charged me for the difference between the cost of the two Motherboards. The Support Technician emailed me 3 days later informing me that the new Motherboard had been installed and they were getting ready to pack everything up and send it to me. It was at this time that I began to feel uncomfortable with the situation. The leaking of the Liquid Cooling system, twice, seemed to me to be something a bit out of the norm. So, I asked my Sales person to check with the Support Manager as to why these leaks are happening. It was at this time that Richard Millard, the President of Puget Systems, emailed me to address my concerns. I informed Mr. Millard that I was about to come out of Warranty and yet, my Liquid Cooling System hadn't worked for a full year without problems. Mr. Millard asked me to give him 24 hours to look through my file so he could be aware of all the issues. I received another email from Mr. Millard the following day letting me know that he thought they found the reason for the problems. Apparently when my Computer System was being built, the Koolance Factory had sent out some defective O-Rings, and it was believed that my System had some of these defective products. THIS IS WHERE YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!! KEEP READING!!!!! Mr. Millard proposed two solutions to my problem. Proposal #1 Strip out the Liquid Cooling system and install a High-Power, High-Efficiency Fan Cooling system at NO COST to me. In order to accomplish this, they would also have to remove one of my Graphic Cards, which Mr. Millard agreed to refund me the current value for the card they had to take out. Proposal #2 Ship the necessary parts to Koolance so they can manufacture new O-Rings and test the system once everything was put back together, to assure the system works. Also, under this Proposal, Mr. Millard agree'd to give me a one year limited warranty for any problems with the Liquid Cooling System. If there were any problems caused by the Liquid Cooling System any components that were damaged by such problems, would be replaced at NO COST to me. I chose Proposal #2 since I do a lot of Graphic Arts work. Two weeks later, I was informed that my Computer was packed and on it's way home. Once home, I setup the Computer and haven't had one problem with it since. ******************************************************************************************************** I can't begin to tell you, the reader, just how amazed I was by how well I was treated by the people at Puget Systems. IF I were still able to work, I would have given a LOT of thought of going to work for Puget Systems as a Support Technician. The way Puget Systems handles their customers is utterly amazing and not seen in many places. Even when I was first ordering my Computer System, I was treated as though I was the most important person that they were talking to at the time. I had researched many of the Custom Computer Dealers and when I settled on Puget Systems, at first I had a little reservation, because like you, I'd dealt with other Computer Dealers and had in one way or another been screwed over or treated as though they couldn't care less if they did business with me. All that changed the day I got the first phone call from Jeff Stubbers, a Sales Technician, who I asked to look over my Computer Configuration and give recommendations concerning what I had configured on the website. The first thing Mr. Stubbers asked was if I really needed this much Computing Power; you can view my Computer configuration by following this link: http://www.pugetsystems.com/forums/threads/4342-My-New-Puget-System-Benchmark-Rank-2859-(PassMark) I assured Mr. Stubbers that I indeed wanted/needed what I ordered, and he was happy to go down the list with me and talk about the pro's and con's of each component ordered. This was even more then I expected, I mean, who does that in this business? Anyway, after my order was placed, I received an email from the Support Technician that was building my Computer. I was informed that the Brackets for the GTX-295 cards were prone to leaking, but the GTX-285 card Brackets worked great. I gave the go ahead to swap out the 295 for the 285 cards (which saved me roughly $400). Then 3 days later I received a call from Mr. Stubbers, to let me know that there was a new BluRay RW device that just came out that would have a higher read/write value then what I ordered and would cost the same. I agreed to swap out for the new BluRay player/RW device. During the whole building process, Mr. Stubbers agree'd to send me Pictures of my Computer as it was being constructed. Yes, most think this request was just silly, but I was excited to see my new Computer taking shape, and the people at Puget Systems went the extra 2 miles just to make me happy! Now, if you are looking for a new computer and you want something configured to match your needs, and you want to deal with a company that cares about their products and their customers satisfaction, then there's only ONE place for you and that's Puget Systems. I have bought 4 computers through Puget Systems. One "Beast" of a Desktop for myself, one "Little Beast" of a Latpop for myself, then two other systems for friends in need, and I won't buy another system from anywhere BUT at Puget Systems. Just one more short story. One of the systems I purchased for a friend, it was a nice Laptop, and my friend loved it. My friend though, isn't Computer Savvy, so when she was having trouble loading a Software Program, she called Puget Systems and their Support Staff actually loaded the program for her using Remote Connection Control. Think about that, they took their time to load a program they didn't own and didn't make money on it. They were concerned for their Customer, so they did what they did to make certain their customer was a happy customer. What more can I say? If you still aren't sold on Puget Systems, I don't know what else I can tell you to make you see that there is NO OTHER Computer Dealer that will treat you as good as Puget or will stand behind their product as well as Puget. It's this simple, If you want a high quality Computer, and you want to have high quality Support with it, then Puget Systems is the ONLY place to go. Bob Sadler A Very Happy Puget Systems Customer * I choose to use email rather then phone simply because holding the phone up to my ear causes me pain. Puget employee's will be happy to call you or, such as in my case, email you. ** I purchased my Computer in May 2009 and purchased a 3 year warranty with it as well.

There is no custom build shop for computers in the small city I live in. I Googled around, located Puget Systems - took a chance and am glad I did.
Description of Work: I have always had desktop computers built for me since my first was built in 1988. This is the best experience I've ever had. Whatever your requirements are, these people will help you figure out your needs and deliver exactly what you want. Even though I live in Wisconsin, it feels like the Puget System shop is next door.

From beginning to end it was a great experience. You can use their web site to configure a system that meets your price point and then call them up and have them advise on the performance and compatibilty of certain options. Service after the sale is superb. Questions about software upgrades and adding new components are easy because they remember you as a customer. It is now 3 years later and the system runs 24 hours a day supporting my home office. Other than a Intel motherboard component failure in the 1 year which they resolved with a quick replacement card - the system has been nothing short of my expectations. Very quiet, well engineered and uses all named easily replaceable parts.
Description of Work: Custom computer build for home office. Selectable options for all components. This gives the customer the ability to build a high end gaming computer, office system or general purpose system and all points in between. Company also provides configurations that are bundled together as a complete system. I selected a high end office computer that is very quiet, uses all first rate product components all under warranty by the individual manufacturer as well as the entire build as a warranty from Puget Systems. Excellent service and very knowledge staff. Small company type of service and delivery. Documentation, benchmark test results and a quick build. I had a component fail on the Intel motherboard that they quickly resolved over the phone and then supplied me a network card to replace the failing component as I did not want to send the system back to replace the motherboard. Network card replaced the on-board chip and was equal or exceeded the performance of the orginial part. If you want to add additional parts or components on after the sale, they have your customer build on file that allows them to track and recommend if a part is compatiable. The workmanship of wiring and installation inside the cabinet is high quailty. I have build 3 custom machines in the past myself so I can appreciate their work, the testing, burn it, packaging and turn around time.

Quoting from my review of Puget Systems after I bought a computer from them. (quoted from resellerratings.com oldmvsguy5/5 posted Jul-16-2011 "- this is a custom air-cooled build to provide me a quiet PC with enough power to run anything out there in full 1080P - great customer service -- always responded to email within one day -- twice called in and got 'live' person immediately - fair pricing for the services provided - high quality build; check the site - they do not pull punches about what hardware they prefer - honest review of proposed builds; willing to spend time to explain any suggested changes - well packed for the shipment to the East Coast - very clean software build - just Windows & and nothing else (as requested) 21 Novemeber 2011 - An update... I had a little problem with the video card a month or so past (fan was noisy), and after contacting tech support, removed/cleaned/reinstalled the card. It was better (quiet) for a while, then the noise returned. Contacted tech support again; Puget initiated their RMA process and sent me a new card, no questions asked. Service *after* the sale is the real hallmark of a class organization. Thanks for the great support!!"
Description of Work: Warranty service - swapped out a video card that had some fan noise. No questions asked, very quick turnaround for parts, all pre-paid shipping, See http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Puget_Custom_Computers for more reviews on this vendor.

I've always built my own budget computers in the past, but wanted to spoil myself and get something nice for once, and Puget is a very reputable custom builder. I had heard good things about their customer service and quality, but had never bought from them before because they are known to be more expensive than a lot of the competition. Expensive does not necessarily mean overpriced, and I believe they are worth the extra money. I am in IT support, and spend a lot of my day buying business desktops and laptops from the usual suspects. My experience with Puget was much better than from the other guys, and the machine I got was better than anything I could have ordered from those guys (and I didn't have to waste a bunch of time removing pre-loaded bloatware). I was willing to spend a little more to get exactly what I wanted, and what I got was worth every penny. Their customer service was great; they walked me through the ordering process, and answered my questions about what I needed for what I was planning to do with the computer. They even talked me down from a higher-priced video card because it was overkill for my needs. That right there sealed the deal for me. That never happens with the other guys. My computer was shipped promptly, and packed with the utmost care in a sturdy box and strong foam packing material. The workmanship of cabling and device installation was perfect in every way. I love my Puget machine. I would buy from them again.

Best customer support I've dealt with. Friendly, very patient techs take their time to make sure it's right.
Description of Work: Great company, customer support is the best you'll ever find. I bought a desktop pc made to my exact specs. It arrived quickly and was everything I expected and more. I had an issue with one of the hard drives; they sent out a replacement, which arrived in a day or two., The techs walked me through the replacement and reformatting on the phone. They took their time and never tried to rush things. I've used customer support a couple of times and they replied to emails promptly and solved the problem quickly. I would recommend this company highly.

They were helpful in configuring it for my needs, including telling me I didn't need things -- that I really didn't need. They couldn't send it to my home in Rhode Island due to RI's limitations so they sent it to my brother in law in Massachusetts. It arrived promptly in good condition,. Several months later I had some difficulties with it. They helped me solve the problems -- which are now solved. To do so they had me use some diagnostic software, some that they had provided with the computer and some off the internet. I sent them the results and they told me what to do. Overall, they functioned like a superior tech support system. Given the level of service they provide, I think the price is entirely fair. When you consider that their computers are assembled from the best of available pieces while most of their competitors use the cheapest of available pieces, you find most of the difference in the pricing. I prefer the reliability and support that they provide and plan to purchase from them when I need another computer.

The system cost a bit more than an equivalent computer from a cookie-cutter manufacturer, but I think the quality of the parts used will make it cheaper in the long term. My overall experience with Puget Systems was good. They are definitely pricey for a desktop PC these days, but the quality of the components and the build is much higher than what you'd get from any high volume PC maker like Dell, HP, etc. Also, I love how you can track the progress on your build online, including all the testing they do on the PC before shipment, and then even see pictures of your new PC (inside and out), as well as thermal imaging of the system under load, before it's shipped. I have a couple reasons that I didn't rate them higher. 1) Inconsistent quality of help during the configuration phase. The initial components that I chose for my configuration caused the person who reviewed the build to raise a red flag about whether the case I chose would have enough airflow to keep the video card that I had chosen cool. His only suggested solution was to go with a different, more expensive and significantly larger case, which I was not all that happy with. Fortunately, I managed to get in touch with someone else who suggested a different video card that was actually somewhat better than the one I had chosen, and would work well with the case I wanted, but for some reason was not shown on their configuration tool. Why the first person didn't make a similar suggestion is a mystery to me. 2) As part of my build I mailed them the media card reader from my old PC so that they could install it for me. It turned out that this card reader would not work with the build (no Win 7 drivers, iirc), which is obviously not their fault, but I didn't realize this until they had my PC packed up for shipping and I happened to look at the photos they had taken of my new PC and posted on their website and noticed that there was no card reader installed. I was able to contact them, and they pulled the box from the shipping doc before pickup, unpacked, installed a new card reader that would work with Windows 7 and then repacked for shipping. So, in the end it all worked out, but I was annoyed that no one contacted me to let me know about the compatibility problem, and it would have gone undetected until the PC arrived at my house if I hadn't looked carefully at the photos, and then because this all happened on a Friday the PC didn't actually ship until Monday and so I ended up having to wait longer to get it than I would have it they had let me know about the hardware issue earlier. I suggested to them that they should ship it 2nd day to make up for their mistake, but no such luck.

Every time I've worked with Puget Systems, I've been very happy. Yes, there is a certain price premium with purchasing a system from them as they have to be able to pay staff and make a profit, but in my case I feel it is worth the premium in order to have somebody else take on the responsibility of ensuring all the pieces fit, testing components, etc. Their pre-sales and post-sales support has been excellent, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone who wants a custom-built computer without having to do everything themselves.

The good: You know exactly what components are going into your system. You have a good choice of components. Puget staff work with you to meet you financial constraints and make recommendations based upon your requirements. Build quality is outstanding. Communication is unrivaled - you know exactly where in the process your PC from the time you order until the time it's delivered. Actual photographs and testing results for your system are communicated. Tech support is outstanding. They even help people who don't purchase their systems on their free online forums. The only caveat is that this is a case where you pay a price for what you get. In my opinion, the higher price is well worth it based upon the overall quality and service.
Description of Work: I have purchased three custom computer systems from Puget: 2 custom desktop computers, and 1 laptop. These items were purchased on 3 separate occasions in 2010 and 2011. The desktops were both custom builds to meet my needs. I worked closely with a Puget person who helped me get the most for my money as well as exceed my specifications. Clearly the goal was not to build me the most expensive system, but to give me the components best suited for my intended use. As of October 2012, all three systems have performed flawlessly and exceeded my expectations. As this time (October 2012), I would not consider buying a laptop or performance PC from anyone else.

We got fast knowledgable service from every employee we talked with. They helped her decide the componets that would be best for her by sitting with her and taking the time to listen and ask appropriate qustions about what she expected and how she worked. What was really appreciated was that they did not try to oversell her to a more expensive system During the system build we were able to track it online as it went through the various stages of construction and testing. The build was completed a bit earlier than expected and included all necessary documentation. We would recommend this company to anyone serious about having a custom built system. .

They put together a custom computer according to your situation or according to what applications you need. In other words I work a lot on photography and photo shop in particular. That was reliable and durable because I’ve had years of experience with the other branded products. They load them up with all the junk programs that they give at a low price. They load up the hard drive with unwanted stuff as far as I’m concerned. I’m totally satisfied with what I’ve got. I’ve got one for five years and I’ve never had a problem with it. It’s just been totally reliable with extra fans and extra cooling. There are several features that they incorporate and they give it with reliability and what you are looking for. They have a terrific service and consulting program. You can get the best customization. Their primary purpose in life is building computers for gamers. So they have a lot of experience in that. That’s probably the biggest sales on the internet that they have. That would be building and shipping custom computers for gamers. I like to do photography and I have several friends that are professional photographers. They have had them build computers for them and they are quite satisfied with it. I’ve had a great experience with them. I have referred people to them. I had one professional lecturer that bought a portable laptop from him. Then she referred them to her friends and they bought from them. Everybody has been totally satisfied. They have had them for a year or more. They have it for years now actually. I haven’t had any difficulties with them. They have been always responsive. I feel so fortunate that they are close and handy to where I live. I would use their services again in the future.

We do not provide cheap product. We want to be a place where you can shop without concern regarding whether your selections are high quality. We do not offer tablets or printers.
