DRAIN AWAY PLUMBING

They were good. I just wanted to have the plumbing in the house inspected so I hired them. The people that came out were great. and they did not charge me anything above the big deal price.

They did a good job. Everything was fine so I have no complaints at all.

First the technician was thirty minutes late and offered no explanation. The water heater was no drained because of a plastic fixture that would need to be removed, but might break. He had no replacement with him for it. Some points of interest could not be reached for inspection. Did not ask to see installation which the technician mentioned was an area they generally inspected. I would not recommend this company without having them complete a project for me. The technician did seem to be professional and knowledgable.

They were excellent. He explained to me what he was doing. He took the time and showed me how to do all of that. He was very good and well worth the price. I would use him again.

$300 for a 30 minute install job seems a bit excessive to me for installing a garbage disposal (I think a lot of lawyers, and probably some doctors, wish they could charge $600 an hour for their services)! We've used Drainaway now twice. Both times they have been very professional, timely, and responsive. We used Drainaway previously for some toilet repairs; they did good work, at a reasonable cost. But to charge $300 to install a garbage disposal (not including the cost of the hardware unit, which you can purchase at Lowe's for $100) -- is a pretty basic plumbing job. Angie's List has dozens and dozens of "A" rated plumbers in the Seattle area from which to choose.

I purchased an inspection and hot water heater flush. He took the time to look at the pipes under the house and outside of the house and did not try to sell me more services that I did not need. He gave me troubleshooting hints on a shuddering problem that did not appear to be caused by plumbing. He even unhooked my outside hoses in preparation for winter and reminded me to wrap the pipes! I've been disappointed with other plumbing companies but not this one. Will definitely call them if I have any problems in the future.

I called Drain Away in the late morning and their receptionist said she would have Cory call me asap. He did call very soon after and I explained our problem. He said they would be in our area at about 3:30pm that same day. Matt, (apparently another one of the service techs), showed up about 3pm - no problem with that! Matt was polite and friendly - performed the fix promptly and thoroughly, and explained what he had done. He made a point of discussing the charges before doing the work and wore booties over his shoes in the house. I am -very- satisfied with this company's service - they are professional and fair-priced - I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend to anyone else.

They did a thorough inspection, made a few recommendations, paid attention to the things I wanted them to look at. They did not try to sell me anything extra. I would use them again.

Professional thorough job and gave me a lot of information about my older home. The plumber didn't try to sell me anything, but provided some general guidelines on how much things would cost and areas I should keep an eye out for because my home is 40+ years old.

I cannot say enough good things about this company and Dave in particular. I had a sometimes leak under my bathroom sink, whether the sink was in use or not. Like your car makes that noise until you get to the shop and it works fine... well that was my sink and leak. But Dave was persistent and it took wrapping everything in paper towels and waiting a day for this leak to show up again. And this meant more than one trip. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it at a very reasonable price. Do not hesitate to call these guys. I will not hesitate to call them again if I ever need a plumber. WOW

Matt was on time and had to work around a team that was replacing the floor in the bathroom. He was great at explaining what he was doing. I live in a condo and the value needed to be replace which meant we needed to shut the water down for all of the residents. He gave us a time he would be back which gave us time to notify the neighbors. He was back and ready to work at the exact time he said. The project went smoothly and I am delighted with my new hot water heater. Living in a condo it really makes a difference to know the project is done right as I can't afford a water problem. Drain Away also did all of the plumbing a year ago on a remodel of a kitchen and two bathrooms. Thank you Cory Zimmer, Matt and Drain Away !!!

What they did was okay and everything was fine. The only problem I had with them was I requested you to know the quote to do the whole house to have all the plumbing replaced and it just took a while couple of weeks to get the quote. I ended up going with someone else and that was the only issue with them. They would have thought that the money and high margin stuff is in the plumbing rather than with $99. Other than that he did a good inspection and told us and walked through the condition of the plumbing. I probably would not use them again. It is not that they did anything wrong it is just I can't and they are quite slow with the quote.

Wasn't here on time @ 1100. Called company at 1130. The answering service had the person who was to show call me. He stated he was glad I called because he didn't have my phone number. ?! He was running late and expected to be there in another 1/2 hour. It was well after 1200 noon before he arrived. Very pleasant. Listened to what I could tell him. Flushed water heater, made recommendations on w.heater. Checked out lines and made suggestions. Attempted to see if he could get water to run at my kitchen sink. Unable to: thought he would have to damage the lines to disconnect them as they seems 'locked' in place and would probably break if he continued to attempt to disconnect them. Did his best. Left estimate in writing of what he thought would be necessary corrections/fixes to resolve my issues. Very courteous.

Went well and got it all done quickly. There was a bit of trouble with the scheduling as I could not get a very exact time of when someone was going to show up. So, the first meeting time didn't end up connecting, 2nd try worked. About a 4 - 5 days later the sewer drain was backed up and basement flooded. I called them back to check it, and it had to be cleared out which was done - cost about $400. This didn't seem to show itself in the inspection, which was a little surprising.

The employee who came out to my home was very professional and was also very upfront and transparent about the services he performed. He also didn't try an up-sell me on any unnecessary products or services, and gave me very realistic timelines on when I should start replacing certain items as well. The employee showed up early and showed a great deal of respect for me, and also for my home which was very impressive. The pricing was flat rate and maybe a little on the high side, but the service was excellent and the job was done correctly without any need for follow up or future visits. Thanks for a job well done!!

He was punctual and professional. He executed the service efficiently and I was very pleased with job he provided.

Initially I thought all things were fine - a few days later we were left with a huge puddle under the sink where he "fixed" the faucet. I called to let them know things were not fixed and asked if they could come back out and readdress it. I was forwarded to a voicemail and left a message - I never heard back and have now left multiple messages and nothing has been done! I am left with a sink that doesn't work and I am unable to use.

Too bad there isn't an A+ category. This company deserves it. This project turned out to require EXTENSIVE detective work and time to determine what was causing several problems. The project took longer to complete than anticipated due to the previous owner incorrectly doing their own retrofits and renovation. Regardless of the time required, Drainaway stuck to the original estimate. WOW! From my first contact to completion, the entire process was flawless. Matt (my plumber) was incredibly patient and thorough throughout the entire repair. He kept me updated, explained everything and showed me what needed repairing. What at a professional! He was totally dedicated to solving problems and fixing them with the least disruption possible. I had contacted another plumber who said I would need to open two walls to fix whatever was going on. Yikes! They also showed up to start a major project without an itemized estimate or approval for the project. It turns out, I don't need most of what they recommended. That's when I joined Angie's list and found this great company. I will recommend this company to all friends and neighbors.

They were very nice, very professional, had excellent customer service and I was very satisfied.

He went a step further by fixing the problem without any extra charge. The price was very reasonable.

I thought that some of his recommendations were not necessary but I was satisfied with the service.

We really could not ask for a better plumbing company to work with. I had to cancel my first appointment with them due to illness, and they were lovely about rescheduling. All around really good vibes from this company - and great work. Matt sat with us when he was finished and went over the report in detail. He educated us about a few things we need to look at in the future, but gave us a "clean Bill" of plumbing health! Hire them! I will again. Thank you DrainAway!

They came the next day. Owner himself did the work, including all the digging up of old pipes and replacing. Was very conscientious, and nothing but professional. I would feel confident calling the owner (Corry)any time I have a plumbing problem.
