The chimney sweep went really well, the fireplace looks great.

Did everything a chimney sweep is supposed to do. Went up on roof and cleaned downwards. Afterwards, he used a shop vac and cleaned everything out of the firebox. He inspected the job after finishing and cleaning up all the ashes and debris. He used a dropcloth to insure all ashes stayed out of the room. This was an AngiesList special price.

It was fine. It was okay. They have to do some other things that time but I chose not to do it on that time.

Arrived right on time and got right to work. The job was done in a very timely manor and he did an excellent job of clean up after he was finished. He explained what repairs needed to be done and said we would receive a quote from the company by email within 3 days. I believe we actually received the quote in 2 days. We were very pleased with the whole process. I would not hesitate to use Powers Chimney and Masonry in the future. They are very professional and the he young man who did the work was very polite. In all the years we have lived in this house I don't believe our chimney has ever been as clean as it is now!

Person came on time. Chimney is right off of entry up a couple steps and into the living room. Across white carpet. Biggest problem was that the person who came didn't take off (or cover his boots). He got soot and dirt on our white carpet. When I pointed it out to him, he said, "Oh." No, sorry, no hey let me clean that up, or even let me call my office. I'm assuming what he did inside the chimney was good, but we still haven't used the chimney. On the other hand, the office and business owner were VERY responsive when I called to complain. They additionally, provide some alternatives to using my chimney in its current condition. I believe the office personnel and owner were quite sincere in their concern. They should maybe make sure their reps in the field are a bit more customer environment sensitive.

Four guys did the job in five hours. Beautiful! Quick, efficient and clean. Very polite and cleaned up 100%. Father-son & two co-workers team. Awesome! Work continued straight through to finish with no breaks.

The service was fantastic. The timeliness and communication from the company was great. I always knew what was going on and my options during the service. I would highly recommend Powers Chimney!

Provider checked both chimneys & masonry thoroughly and took pictures , so I had an accurate knowledge of the condition. I feel the provider is knowledgeable and does quality work. He was on time and said he would send me an estimate for the repairs needed. The estimate to repair them ($3208.35) seemed high to me so I didn't use the repair services.

The technician was very thorough and explained where we might consider some improvements in the future.

They were very courtesy and called me very promptly! They called me right after Christmas- they were unable to fireplaces.

Chimney Sweep and Inspection itself went well. The job was done cleanly. They gave me a quote for replacing the chase cover which was higher than another quote I got. So I ended up using the other service provide for the chase cover work.

It was a fine job on the cleaning. But they attempted to sell me 3000.00 of extra stuff that I didn't need.

Like many providers, this one gives a good price to get in the door then tries to upsell you. First, they did a great job cleaning my chimney. No problem there. After sweeping my chimney, they told us that i needed to replace the bricks from the roofline up. Needless to say that's a big job and $$. Fortunately my father in law happened to be visiting from the east coast. He has 40 years of experience as a mason and has worked for many famous people like Billy Joel, Martha Stewart and others. Anyhow the kid that cleaned the chimney attempted the upsell and my father in law insisted on going and checking it out. He reported that of course the chimney didn't need to replaced but the grout would need some work within the next couple of years (wasn't an immediate problem). Shame on you Powers!

It went well. A little difficulty in scheduling (limited dates for service) and some difficulty getting estimate for future work. Very clean and responded quickly to emails.

I have a 100 year old house with a leaning chimney. Badly needed work. Everything went as it should have. He was on time for all appointments. Gave good advice for color of motor and reinforcement of the chimney. Was able to build it shorter than old chimney and use old bricks for missing bricks. Very efficient and pleasant crew. Good followup with the office appointments and scheduling, billing and information. A few weeks after the job was done, I found a piece of metal in the bushes and thought a piece of flashing blew off. He came out promptly to look at it and found that it was a piece of metal that was missed in the cleanup. Also came back to seal the chimney after it dried. I was very pleased with this contractor and would highly recommend him--for a great job at a reasonable price.

They didn't even look at the fireplace, so I didn't even look at their bid. The chimney was built over our double fireplace in the 50s and they wanted to powerwash it and all this extra work. The company I ended up using told me powerwashing the chimney would have ruined the grout. I was really irritated that they just looked at the outside of the chimney and gave me an estimate. I was not happy with them at all.

They did a good job. No complaints.

The company was very up-front about an extra charge for being outside their usual service area. They recommended an alternative service provider without hesitation.

Pretty good- they did what was expected. They found something that needed to be fixed and gave kind of high estimate. I have decided not to pursue it at this time.

They seemed efficient, polite, and took the time to answer my questions. I would definitely have them back again.

Anthony showed up a couple minutes prior to the scheduled start time and was extremely professional. He made sure to keep everything clean and explained what they found during the inspection very clearly. They were done within an hour and left everything as spotless as when they arrived. Very professional and courteous! Company provided a detailed estimate for suggested repairs found during the inspection along with photos.
