Cary and his team did a fabulous job. The walkway came out flawless. I'll give my recommendation to the guys at CD Paver Management (division of Rick Brick pavers).

When I first met Cary, he told me he was number one on Angie's List for customer service. Now that we are finished with the job, I absolutely agree and understand why he is number one in this category. Without a doubt, CD pavers/Rios was the best customer service we ever got from any contractor. To get the best service while also getting the best price is exceedingly rare in my experience and that is you get with CD Pavers Management. Cary gave a fair bid (the lowest of the 3 bids I got) and his bid was also the only one that completely covered everything we wanted done. He drew very clear pictures that gave us the confidence that we were all on the same page. When it came to start the job, he texted and showed up when he said he would.....every time. The crew were all professional and clearly skilled in the paving and landscaping work. The crew worked hard for a few days in a row which was great because the job was completed in a week. Cary checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything we agreed upon was done to our satisfaction. He was always willing to go above and beyond to exceed our expectations. I honestly am the kind of person who doesn't have a lot of vision or experience with gardening or landscaping. So to have my hand held from crafting the vision in the beginning to helping me put on the finishing touches in the end was exactly what I needed. I highly recommend working with Cary and using CD Paver Management.

Cary was very responsive and promptly met with us to provide his bid. He went into some detail to explain how they install a paver patio and why it is done that way. He brought albums of pictures so we could see how similar projects were done. After we received several other bids, we selected CD Paver Management/RIOS Pavers to demo the old concrete patio and prep and install the new paver patio. Their bid was very competitive but the deciding factor for us was our belief that Cary and crew were very experienced and would do a good job for us. Cary was here every day (most days morning and afternoon) to check on the progress and answer any questions or concerns that we had. The project took a few days longer than expected due to inclement weather that prevented them working. I liked that they didn't blindly push ahead with the adverse weather (which would have compromised the quality of the product). Cary offered design suggestions which improved the overall product. When the project was completed, I was not completely happy with the installation of the drain in the new patio (it was set lower on three sides than the surrounding pavers). When I mentioned my feelings to Cary, he agreed they would come out and reset the level of the drain collector box. I know that many contractors would have refused since the job was complete, but when Cary says he'll do whatever it takes to make the customer happy - it's not just words - he walks the talk! Overall we are very happy with our new patio and pathways that they did for us and would highly recommend them.

We are extremely happy with our new driveway. Cary Stephenson, Freddy Rios, and the entire crew at Rios Brick Pavers all did awesome job!!! We couldn't be more pleased. We had been thinking about replacing our large gravel driveway for several years and when we finally decided to do it we researched the process, checked out lots of reviews here on Angie's List, and then interviewed and got bids from several companies. Cary was extremely responsive and easy to get ahold of from the first call right through completion of the project. There were no high pressure sales tactics. He answered all our questions, gave us the information we asked for (including answering questions other companies we talked with were unwilling to), gave us his bid, and then left us alone to decide what we wanted to do. After we decided to hire them, Cary cheerfully agreed to come by after I got home from work to sign the contract and go over everything, including a nice detailed drawing of the scope of the project to make sure we understood and had all our questions answered. He also made several design recommendations, which we followed and are glad that we did. Although all the other companies we talked toestimated it would be a 2 to 2 1/2 week job, Cary told us they could do it one week - and they did!! The first day Cary and Freddy both walked the whole site with me and went over the details to make sure that everyone knew what the plan was. From there progress went quickly and it was clear that the crew is very experienced and knows what they are doing. We have a long and irregularly shaped driveway. When they started laying the pavers, there was a difference between what the plan showed and what would look and function best, they simply made the change and didn't treat it as an "extra." And when they realized they had made a mistake in calculating how big our driveway they kept to the contract price. From the bidding process, we knew we had gotten a good price, but know seeing the end product and realizing how much larger a project it turned out to be, we got a great price and even better value. We have a stone path that goes from the driveway to a water feature and another path that goes up to the front porch; we were worried how the transition between the driveway and those paths might look - again they did a masterful job of establishing a natural curve so the edge of the driveway meets perfectly water feature path and then continues to curve around to the parking area; they also brought the driveway right to the bottom step of the other path with natural lines on both sides of that transition. These guys are really good at what they do. They also kept us informed every step of the way, kept the work site neat, and left it clean. Over the past 25 years we have used lots of contractors for many different projects, this was one of our best experiences. Quite simply we were very pleased with every aspect of the experience from start to finish.

It went really well. Cary was great from start to finish. He helped us design and explained pros/cons of alternate approaches. Then his team came and constructed everything just as planned and promised. It came out more beautiful and functional than expected. The communication and follow-up was exemplary and top-notch! I highly recommend Cary and his team for great no-haggle pricing, excellent quality and follow-up.

What a great experience with Cary and his team! This is the 2nd time we worked with Cary after completing an extensive project last year. By far the best company we have ever contracted with, and we have worked with many contractors on various projects. They are professional and reliable from the beginning to the end. Cary has a great eye for design and develops a great working relationship with the customer to provide an end product that is within budget and exceeds expectations. He arrives on site daily and checks in with the customer all along the way, answering questions and listening to any concerns. His team is a great group of craftsmen who are excellent at what they do. They work very hard and are extremely efficient with minimal disruption to the customer. They are always willing to do more to ensure the customer is pleased with the end product. They keep the area clean and neat while working and won't leave the job at the end until everything is restored and even improved as much as possible. They go above and beyond to provide a lot of extras that you won't get with other contractors. This job consisted of transforming a courtyard from old decking and concrete to a beautiful area with a small patio and stairs to entry doors, and extending a patio to include a fire pit with a sitting wall. The 1st project we worked with Cary on last year was a large project that also consisted of walkways, stairs and a patio with extensive demo of decking and concrete removal. We had gotten several estimates for replacing the decking. All of the deck estimates were as much or more for just replacing deck boards. We were pleasantly surprised when Cary presented us with the cost estimate and design that would turn the entire area into a beautiful oasis. Cary carefully considered the environment and designed around a Koi pond to provide an integrated flow that completely transformed the look and feel of the area. We couldn't be happier with how beautiful it turned out! There was no question that we would contact Cary again when we decided on the 2nd project.

They arrived on time, worked long hours, were responsive to all requests, did what they promised, stuck to their schedule, were polite, clean, and a pleasure to have around. We are very pleased with how the work turned out, and would unreservedly recommend them.

Worked with Cary the General manager of Rio Brick Pavers for our full front driveway and stairway paving job. Extremely Happy with the end result and he was easy to reach via email and phone. I wasn't around to manage them and trusted them to do the right thing. Their pricing was about mid-range, but as the project progressed they added on lots of extras that I'm sure others would have easily charged for. What you have here is a professional company and crew fully licensed and insured and most importantly cares for what customers wanted. Amazing customer service, Cary even came by around 8 pm to check on us if we were happy with the work. Not only would I hire this company again in a heartbeat, we are already planning the next project. I highly recommend them!!!! They started before the originally planned start date. The work they did was amazing my wife is incredibly happy. Our patio looks like it belongs behind a mansion. Cary was very attentive, kept in touch during the entire job. Highly recommended, expensive but worth it.

We hired Cary and his crew at Rios pavers to install a large patio, fire pit and several walkways around our home. We were nervous because it was a large job (for us). These guys are pros! I really can't say enough positive things about the whole job. They arrived every day around 8:00 AM and worked until 7:00 PM. Another company that bid the job estimated it would take 3-4 weeks. These guys had it done in 9 days! The quality of the work is unbelievable! They are true artists when it comes to cutting these pavers and making curved pathways and steps. Cary contacted me every day to make sure all was going well and also checked in on the job to see for himself every day. We did have one area that was not done according to our plan. As soon as I pointed it out, they immediately ripped out the incorrect work and did it to our plans. My friends came over and said that our yard had been "transformed"! I would not hesitate to hire them again and hope to have them back to replace my aging deck in the future. I wish all home contractors that I hire would be as attentive and professional as these guys.

Cary and his crew were really easy to work with and worked very fast and very hard. They came in with lots of guys and completed the entire project in about 8 days which astounded me! I would highly recommend these guys for all your backyard needs. I thought I would need to hire separate people for grading my backyard how I wanted it…but these guys did most of it by hand with shovels so that they wouldn’t damage my septic or lawn in the front/side yard. The little bit they needed a big tractor for they were extremely careful making sure they took as few trips and turns in the yard and left no damage. The crew was very kind to me and my kids and were a pleasure to have around. My kids had fun making them lemonade and cookies and we all really enjoyed watching the backyard transform before our very eyes! Hire Carey and the crew at Rios for your pavers and you won’t be sorry!

Cary Stephenson and his crew from Rios Pavers are amazing, completing this very extensive job in just one intense week. Cary was pleasant to work with and responsive from the very beginning. He drew out a detailed diagram showing exactly how they would proceed. He helped us choose the paver colors, suggesting a design layout that incorporated our porch area while defining it as a separate area. In an area with limited access, they took out endless loads of concrete and dirt, while maintaining access for our neighbors down our narrow lane. Cary even left letters at all of our neighbors' doors, explaining what would be happening and apologizing in advance for any disruptions, of which there were almost none. The crew was extraordinary. They continually went above and beyond, making sure we were completely satisfied before they called the job complete. They solved drainage issues, made sure the driveway would meet perfectly with an adjoining deck, and took on additional tasks that weren't really within the scope of our contract, at no additional cost. In addition, they were very pleasant people to have around. Cary's bid was very reasonable, considerably less than the other bid we received, which was also from an Angie's List provider. We're delighted with this project and recommend this crew without reservation.
