Cary and his team did an excellent job. Cary was very attentive and accommodating to our design ideas as we worked up a plan for a patio and an adjoining paving stone base for later construction of a gazebo. The work was done on schedule, the team was professional, courteous, and efficient, and the end result met our highest expectations. It is a major improvement to our back yard. Cary stayed in touch throughout the work, was easy to communicate with, and made the whole process go smoothly. Small matters that came up during the job were readily taken care of, and the final cost was true to the bid. I have the highest recommendation for Cary and his team.

Cary from CD/Rio pavers is fantastic. Cary came and explained every step of process in detail. He visited us multiple times to answer/explain all our questions. We signed our contract. Cary was so sweet that he asked us to pay the entire amount once the work is done. Professional , Hardworking and fast. I requested to get our patio work done by June 17th and he got it done by June 15th. They were here for close to 2 days and am Impressed to see the amount of work they have done in the first day.Cary came to inspect the work and make sure we were happy with work/job. We did request for small modification in the layout and they were able to accommodate my request with out any extra charge. I would highly recommend Cary and CD pavers management team.We are very happy with the entire experience and enjoying our new patio. It's been one month and we are very happy .Will update my review again after 6 months .

It went very well. The finished patio was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. It was easy to get the estimate, to book the work, and a few weeks wait due to backlog this time of year. They completed the work in 5 days and had all cleanup completed at 7 days. There were no complications at all. We would recommend highly and hire again. If needed.

After a couple of interviews with other companies we called CD pavers on a Saturday late afternoon not expecting to get a call back until the following week. By our surprise, someone (Cary) answered and spent a considerable amount of time on the phone collecting information about what we needed and telling us about the paver process. No pressure, wanted us to think about it and let him know if we wanted him to come by to assess the job. He was at our house in two days at a convenient time for us, showed us various options and quoted right there. We called him and accepted the next day and received a design for our back yard patio, firepit and retaining wall shortly following. It was creative and just what we wanted utilizing the space better than we imagined. The crew was skilled, respectful and very clean. The company has a family owned feel who care about the work. It was important that we were happy and there were frequent check ins. We are definitely planning to use this company again when we are ready to complete the driveway and front porch!

I can't possibly save enough great things about Cary and his team. I've already passed on his info to several of my friends and neighbors. He's a straight shooter who does exactly what he says he gonna do and delivered a beautiful product that my family will enjoy for years to come. He told me up front that no matter what, the price wouldn't go up and that he'd rather lose money on a job than raise prices on someone. Our old (11x16x2' deep) patio was hastily poured by our builder a couple years ago and wasn't any good. We contacted Cary to get a quote for removal of that old patio and the installation of the new larger paver patio. He showed up exactly when he said he would and gave an incredibly fair quote with beautiful pictures of past projects, step by step photos of the work his team does, and a full catalog of pavers to choose from. The crew showed up right when they were supposed to and worked tirelessly through several days to remove the old eyesore patio. It was definitely more work than any of us anticipated, but true to his word, the price didn't change. They treated me and my family well, my property well and always made sure things were put away and secured at night. After the old patio was gone, they moved quickly through the several step paver prep process and in building the stairs. Before we knew it, we had a beautiful new paver patio that truly enhances our outdoor space. And he told me that for as long as we live in the house, if anything at all should go wrong with the patio (highly unlikely), to give him a call directly and he'd make it right. My words can't do justice to what a pleasure it was to work with Cary on this project and how great our new patio looks. He communicates well, really knows his stuff, is a high integrity guy, AND does high quality work. I haven't had great luck working with contractors until now. Thanks much Cary for giving me an experience I can share with friends and neighbors. I'd hire him or recommend him again in a instant.

Our project could not have been in better hands. A fantastic experience in every way. We had a couple of bids that were a little bit lower, but after seeing CD Paver Management's work on their website, and meeting Cary, we decided go with them. Once they started, the job took about 5 days. We saw Cary almost every day, and never felt that he was anything but totally engaged. The men who did the work were fantastic as well. I noticed that whenever I had a question, any of them would immediately stop what they were doing and pay close attention to what I was saying, and made sure that I was happy before moving on. They worked really hard, and were very efficient. There were also a couple of spots where they did extra work that wasn't included in the bid -- for instance, they re-routed a drain pipe that was in the way, so that the patio would look nicer, and they didn't charge us for any extra time or materials. They also put in a couple of extra steps, because it was the right thing to do. The end result is really stunning, and we're very happy with it. We absolutely will hire them again and recommend them to anyone who needs paver work done.

Cary was communicative, thoughtful, and thorough. When I needed more time to consider, he was no-pressure, which after many projects around the house was a breath of fresh air. Additionally, I knew I wanted a retaining wall, but was unsure how to make it look nice with my existing landscaping. Cary drew up a great design, helped me consider various colors of stone, and I couldn't be more pleased. The project turned out beautifully, and it was better than I could have possibly imagined. The crew who completed the project were timely, hard-working, clean, and professional. I came home to find the site clean of garbage and debris, and safe enough for my dog to get out in the yard after their day's work was complete. Additionally, they were friendly and personable when I stopped in to see how things were going. This company went beyond even the basic tasks for which I hired them... I purchased 15 arborvitaes and the crew agreed to plant them for me at not additional cost. They laid out additional pavers I had leftover from another project to create a small path in the large bed on top of the wall so I could easily access the back parts of it without getting super dirty. Finally, I had a large amount of yard debris from spring cleaning of the yard, as well as a dirt pile and the crew hauled it all away, in addition to leveling out the space where the dirt had been previously. I cannot recommend this company enough. I have been singing their praises to anyone and everyone, and I'm incredibly grateful to have found them through Angie's List. If and when I have another project, they will be the first people I consider contacting.

I had only a vague idea of what I wanted so I explained I wanted to break up the square lines of the house and the yard. They did a great job of suggesting the pavers shape and color combinations to create a balance of what materials already exist in the yard.. They also created a lovely walkway that flows beautifully in the front yard this gives me a path to use for maintaining the yard and also creates a calming effect to offset the harsher lines of the square fence and the house. It has made a real difference to the feel of the property. Everyone on the crew was professional, very hard working, very accommodating and attentive to details. I get compliments from so many people and everyone agrees this has made a real difference in the look and feel of the property. We were very please with the outcome of the project- it turned out better than expected! Cary was a pleasure to work with- he would check in with us every day to see how we felt the project was being completed. He was very hands on and even performed some of the work himself so that they stayed on schedule. Cary's staff, Rio's Pavers, were amazing as well- they worked hard and were very respectful and clean. We would absolutely have them come back and recommend them to friends and family in the future.

Cary was a pleasure to work with right from the beginning. He was very responsive from the first inquiry and on time or early at each scheduled appointment. Cary came and took all the appropriate measurements and let me know he'd get back to me with a quote and plan. Unlike other companies we got quotes from I did not have to chase him down or ask for follow up to get a price. Instead he came back and met with me and went over his quote in great detail but also was the only company that came back prepared with a drawn out plan of what I wanted. What I appreciate was Cary was very transparent, meaning he wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive quote we received but let us know it was the VERY BEST he could do based on the size of the project. Rather than haggling or issuing a fake discount which is added in somewhere else or cut in quality. The price is the price, he even said he understood if we chose a different provider. Once our contract was signed our material was delivered to our home a few days earlier than anticipated. Rather than waiting until the agreed upon start day Cary asked if his team could start early...WHAT?? This never happens!! They started the next day which was a Saturday and arrived on time exactly as he said they would. I was blown away, 7 guys came to get to work! Cary and crew were very respectful of our privacy and home and were meticulous in ensuring they cleaned up after themselves each day. They were very flexible in ensuring I was a satisfied customer. On the last day I asked for some modifications to change one aspect due to pre-existing concrete they had to work around, that I didn't like the aesthetics of. Without any fuss his team tore it back up in a couple of spots and did exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be more pleased with this company. When making a substantial investment in our home, I was concerned with quality, reliability and timeliness since I've had many poor experiences with contractors in the past. I would recommend Cary and Rios Paver's to anyone!! We will definitely use them again for future projects.

I'm so happy with the work that I'm writing this review before the walkway is complete. We hired Cary and his crew to replace our driveway retaining walls and drain. When the driveway was finished we just had to have them replace our front walkway. Cary was here every day to ensure the work was going as planned. He was sincere when he told me that the job is not done until we are totally satisfied. Well, we are totally satisfied with the improvements to our home! In fact we have already recommend him to two of our neighbors. Thank you Cary and your crew for a job well done!

Excellent. Job was completed in time and on budget! CD Paving continues to amaze us with their attention to detail and customer service. We plan to use them again next year for summer landscaping projects.

Cary was our second bidder, came out to the house on time, spent time reviewing the materials we could choose, left information for us, measured and gave us a great bid. We ended up adding work to the project because the bid was well below what a different company had given us. Cary came by daily, called if there is any delay. The work crew are really nice guys, and have an eye for design. The steps ended up at a concrete patio; they cut out a landing and blended old and new so it looks absolutely fantastic! They made efforts to protect wood walkways, cleaned up and left the place looking great. Cary is personable, Carlos, the crew boss, is so nice--it's a family operation. Cary listens to what you want, checks up constantly, and the attitude of the entire crew is "make the customer happy". Worth every penny and it looks great. Great value for the price.

Here is personal proof of Angie's list ratings and recommendations for service providers. Our family, including a very active 2yr old, recently purchased a home near downtown Bothell. It fit our needs except for the back yard. It has a hard (30 degree) slope and was dangerous to let our son play without direct contact. We looked on Angie's list to find someone to level a good portion of the yard and came across CD Paver Mgmt. Their reviews were impeccable, so I requested an estimate. Their lead man, Cary Stephenson, was our contact throughout the process. He was friendly, polite, and very straightforward. After he gave his bid, we continued to look for a few more possibilities. It became obvious Cary and his team would be the winning bid. They won not only for their competitive estimate, but also on their professionalism and customer service. Mr. Stephenson is very hands-on, and it was obvious he wanted to do everything in his power to make sure we were happy with the work, which we were. It's a gorgeous wall. He even agreed to add a small set of steps just to make it easier to access the rest of the yard AFTER the contract was signed! His crew was fast, professional, and they left our property at the end of the job completely picked up. They even cleaned a bit of the street where one of their dirt trucks tracked a bit of mud. We are extremely satisfied with the work done and would not hesitate to use them again and/or recommend their services to anybody.

They were here for two full days! About 6 workers. They were very professional and hard working. Cary came to inspect and make sure we were happy with the job. The workers had amazing creativity to place pagers and colors to make it look random . Just like we wanted. It turned about more amazing than we had ever planned. Cary had a great vision and made our paver patio beautiful! We appreciated his honesty and up front personality. We couldn't be any happier! We have been homeowners for a long time, and this was far and away our best construction experience ever. On his first visit Cary explained in detail the construction steps they take to ensure a quality result. He had great design suggestions to convert our fuzzy vision of what we wanted into a stunning design. Every idea proved to be spot on. There was no high pressure sales presentation. Cary treats you more like a friend than a customer. Everyone in the company communicates that they will not be done until you are satisfied with the result. Carlos and his crew were fantastic!. The amount of work involved was incredible (I told my wife I did not think they charged enough considering how much work they had to do). As we made design changes during construction their attitude was "no problem". Carlos suggested a change in the patio that added square footage, and they did not charge anything extra. When we wanted to extend the length of one of the sitting walls they readily made the change., When the project was finished we decided we did not like the pathway lights we had chosen. Carlos came out in the rain, removed the old lights and installed new ones - again stressing that they wanted us to be happy with the results. The end product is spectacular, and many of our neighbors have told us how much the walk and stairs have improved the curb appeal of our house. The back patio is now an oasis that we will enjoy for a long time. This experience has been addictive, and we are already envisioning some future projects. My only regret is that Angie's List does not let me give and A+ grade. Cary, Carlos, and company exceeded our expectations in every way, and we could not be happier.

First, some necessary background: we had Cary and his team install a paving stone driveway at the end of March, 2015 (they did an AMAZING job). It was at this time that we showed them another area of the house where we had previous paving stone work done by another contractor (Khang Le). These paving stones were sinking and had weeds growing through. Cary took a look and declared that it was the worst paving job he had ever seen. In fact, it was done so poorly that Cary offered to fix it AT COST! He simply couldn't stand that someone had gotten away with ripping us off like that. Fast forward six months and we were ready to get the shoddy paving work fixed. A quick meeting with Cary and we were scheduled. Right on time, his team showed up on a Monday and they were done by mid-day Friday. First thing they saw was that there was no base installed! The previous guy had simply filled it in with topsoil and sand. No wonder it was sinking! In short order, Cary's team removed the old stones and created a new, solid base to support the new stones. It was amazing to see them work. At all times, his team was professional, courteous and the work they did was simply amazing. The installed paving stones are solid, tight and look and feel great. There is simply no comparison between the professional work Cary and his team did and the shoddy work from Mr. Le. Lights years apart! It is worth mentioning that aside from the professional work they do, working with Cary is a pleasure. He goes out of his way to address any concerns and fixes any issues, even months later. For example, we had a couple of capstones come loose from the driveway (probably due to a delivery truck running over them) and they took care of it, no questions asked, even six months later. Also, working with Cary and his team goes like this: you tell him what you want, he writes it down, measures things out, asks a few questions and comes up with a price. This price is set, there is no negotiation, which I really liked. There's nothing worse than wondering if you could have negotiated more. He simply tells you what it will cost and what he will do. I wish everyone worked this way. We have future plans to add more paving stones to other parts of the house and we have no doubt who we will call when we are ready.

Cary and CD Paver Management were a pleasure to work with on this project. From start to finish it was a great experience! We couldn't be more pleased. The quality of the materials, the care and professional work of the crew from start to finish, the attention to detail and the price were all outstanding. To start with we had two meetings with Cary about the scope of the project we had in mind, one to collect the project information and one to review the estimate he left with us, including the drawing and contract terms. He's a very straight forward man, very knowledgeable and sharing of information. He made it clear there was no negotiating, he would provide a detailed estimate and plan with materials and let us decide if we wanted to follow up, no pressure. We liked that! Cary listened carefully, and made sure our ideas made sense from a year round perspective. He provided a firm estimate and drawing of the project. When we saw the price we added additional work that we thought would be out of our budget and said let's do it. The start date was estimated and we set to start in about a month. We got a phone call from Cary to confirm the start date a few days ahead of Carlos and his crew from Rios Brick Pavers arriving with the Bobcat and dump truck(s) to take away the concrete. A key point for us was to keep the access to our cul-de-sac open for the neighbors as the work was done and the crew took great care to make the week long project easy on our neighbors. It was fun to watch the team work and precision of the removal and installation adjacent to our house. The installation went quite smoothly and the finished project looks great. There were a number of times when we discussed small details about how and where the "dovetails" with our existing landscape would play out and we very pleased with the finish details. Our highest recommendations for this team!

Cary is the best contractor I have ever worked with. Period. He stood out ever since the beginning when I started the process of finding the right contractor for my paver project and continued to prove that I found the best person for the job. Here are the things Cary stood out to make the experience exceptionally pleasant/smooth. Cary was well prepared- when we first met, he spent time (a lot of time) walking me through the paving process, step by step, with a binder full of educational materials. Cary was straight forward- He told me there?s no game/negotiation in the pricing. The price we agreed on would be the price I pay. If the actual job cost extra, I wouldn?t be responsible for it. Cary took his promises seriously- When the actual job started, the team built a long wall against one side of the fence to make the paving area flat, as opposed to the original design of a slope going down to the fence, without the need of a wall. This change made the yard looking even nicer, with no extra cost! Cary stayed on top of things throughout the entire project- he kept me posted on the progress daily, either in person or phone call/text to make sure I?m ok with the progress. I have never had a contractor who?s done that. When things weren?t done to my expectation, Cary made it right. When the team were building the stairs, the landing space seemed smaller than I had imagined. I called Cary, he came by, asked the team to redo the stairs to my expectation. The project was completed on time- when it?s time for my project to begin, the crew was on site everyday 8-6, with the full transformation completed in just over a week as Cary communicated to me. Cary cared about his customers to the extent that he wouldn?t mind to go out of way to help, with his own time without charge- When the crew tore down my old deck (in preparing for pavers), we discovered that the deck wasn?t done right and damaged the siding of the house, also down sprout under the deck that was hidden before had a hole. Tough not his job really, Cary promised that he would help me fix these things so that I don?t need to find a different contractor to fix the siding. Cary also provided superior post completion service- I finally found a company for a patio cover (wish there?s a Cary in the patio cover industry) after pavers are in and needed to take some pavers out for footing. Cary told me to mark the areas I needed to pavers out, he would come by and get the pavers out, and when my patio cover is done, he would come back and put the pavers back in- and as he promised, I only pay once and all these services are at no cost to me.

Excellent experience. Cary was extremely professional,he walked us through the process and helped us formulate ideas for our new patio. (We were replacing a deck) There was no pressure and he allowed us time to make our decision. The reason we chose him was because of his professionalism and the confidence that we had that he would manage the job to our satisfaction. The crew did and excellent job and Cary checked in daily to insure that we were satisfied. I would highly recommend Cary and CD Paver Management. After reading the reviews of paver companies on Angie's List, we contacted Cary Stephenson. He came to our home promptly to tell us about the products used, options for colors, the process for demolition of the old deck and installation of the patio. We talked about an initial design, and he gave us an initial estimate. We called Cary the next day and told him we wanted to go ahead with the project. Our initial meeting was July 9th. The scheduled start date for the project was August 24th. At our second meeting, we gave Cary a design for the patio. At our third meeting we finalized the price and signed the contract. The final price was about $4,000 higher than the initial estimate. This was caused by two things. First, we decided to make the patio bigger than our initial design. Second, the solution to hold up an existing gravel path was more costly. Cary called us two days before the work began to let us know they were on schedule and would start Monday morning, August 24th. The work was done by the parent company, Rios Brick Pavers. Carlos Rios, co-owner, was present throughout the job. He and his crew were excellent to work with and were very skilled craftsmen. The demolition of the old deck and removal of a tree took one day. The second day the base was prepared to receive the pavers. Laying the pavers began on the third day. The fourth day included constructing the edge of the patio, building stairs to the dining room, and beginning the sitting wall. The fifth day included building stairs to the master bedroom, finishing the patio edge, finishing the sitting wall, and putting down the sod. Cary came every day to make sure all was going well, to make sure we were happy with the project and to answer any questions. The results are amazing. We are totally pleased with the patio and sitting wall. I chose N/A for the price, because we didn't get any other quotes. Cary was very straightforward with his pricing. He was very honest in calculating the final payment at the completion of the job. He lowered the price for work they didn't have to do. He stuck with his quote (and did not raise the price) for some additional cost in constructing the sitting wall. The whole project from beginning to end was an excellent experience. I highly recommend them.

Cary and his team did a fantastic job. The design and layout of the patio is very nice. He spent a good amount of time discussing with us the various options and gave us a drawing of the work before we started so we knew exactly what we were going to get. Pricing was straightforward and very good. Cary is a no pressure kind of guy, and just tells you exactly how things are going to work. I really appreciated his style and how he dealt with us. The patio is level and firm. The installation of the patio looks really great. The way the pavers are cut is nice with no odd pieces. The stairs are evenly spaced and level. The crew was very hard working, friendly, and professional. During construction we had one issue with the way the retaining wall was shaped, and it was addressed immediately and to our total satisfaction. I highly recommend CD Paver Management.

The job was done with professionalism and passion. We couldn't have been more pleased. Cary and his experienced crew arrived when Cary told us to expect them. They marked off the design that Cary had thoughtfully sketched and scaled, and the crew seemed very comfortable with the expectations that we had for this project. Finishing work was done on schedule. Service ranged from design to tear down to laying pavers to sealing to clean-up to final touches. What we appreciated most was the making good on verbal commitments. This was true for everyone with whom we came in contact. If a person said that they would perform a task, someone did it. This is not the case with many providers we have used. The crew did more than the formal contractual commitment, including stacking previously used path material, extra pavers, and spreading crushed rock on the berm. Finally, all members of the firm were courteous and professional. No hesitation recommending CD Paver Management and Rios Brick Pavers.
