My father has dementia And his printer stopped working (cable was undone) he called had them come out. My mother stopped everything after she realized what was going on. They charged them 100!! They are on a fixed income. I called, and she refused to refund them anything. They certainly fail the basic human decency test. update: Actually, I can review you. My mother is also elderly, was upset, and didn't know what to do. I told you this when I called. I depend on our community to help with things like this..it takes a village pertains to children and elderly parents. Again, you FAIL in basic human decency.

Thank you for your review. We dealt with both of your parents directly for 45 minutes. Your parents both decided not to allow us to fix the computer. Both parents thanked the technician and gave payment. Your parents was supposed to contact us back after a decision was made on what new computer to get. Unfortunately you were not there and therefore you are not able to review our company based on your experience. Please don't hesitate to contact us w/ any future computer/tablet/printer needs. $100 is what it cost for us to come out and diagnose. That $100 is applied to the repair i f the customer CHOOSES to have it repaired. This is explained to EVERY customer before we place them on our calendar. In this case, the customer chose to NOT repair. The $100 is still owed, because we run a business and not a charity. There are many charities around to help with your elderly family members if you choose to not want to have to pay for service calls from reputable repair companies.

Description of Work: After getting a new computer with MS 8.1 as the operating system, I wanted to move my outlook files to the new computer[ mail, contacts and calendar] You really cant do this with the applications that come with Windows 8.1!! So after about 1 week of trying to make this happened I called Beau at Genesis. We made an appointment, he gave me a price and came on the appointed day. He installed OUTLOOK 2010 on the new computer and transferred the OUTLOOK files off the old computer and set the mail up to use OUTLOOK as the default mail application. All now is right with the email world. Done in a professional manner, on time and to the price quoted. I would use Genesis again for computer help

Description of Work: I chose this provider due to the good reviews on Angie's List and they did not disappoint. Good communication from beginning to end. Technician was friendly and very helpful. Transferred all data from old desktop to new desktop and set up printer and an external drive as a backup. Assisted in getting a software program updated. Some files were missed in the initial transfer but they came back out and took care of the problem. I will definitely use this company again.
