Called George first thing on the morning of 2/25. He picked up immediately. He was very responsive and cordial and after I described what I was seeing and asked whether I should even bother with a repair, he advised that it sounded like one of two things that were fixable for a lot less than a new fridge. As it turned out he was already at a job site about 4 miles frrom my house and was able to be on site to make the repair less than 2 hours after I called. It took him 5 minutes to diagnose and confirm that the problem was one of the two things we discussed earlier. 20 minutes after he arrived he was on his way and my fridge was working fine, including a detailed explination on how the part worked and why its failure caused what I was seeing. Price was very resonable, much cheaper than the GE option offered off of their website. I am very happy with his service and will definately call George for any future applicance issues I have.

.When I got home from work on Friday evening to prepare dinner everything in my refrigerator freezer was in a puddle and everything in my refrigerator was stinking, my refrigerator had stopped working. I knew that it was the weekend and I was not willing to pay the extra charges for a service call plus I had this new job presented of cleaning the mess of all this spoiled food. I checked Angie's list for an large appliance repair shop. GH Appliance Repair had rave reviews from several members. I called first thing Monday morning and spoke with George. He came the same day and found the problem quickly and had it running within an hour. He was professional and reasonable with the cost of the service provided.

I called around 10 on a Saturday morning and was told a repairman would be at the house between 12-3pm Arrived as promised and corrected the dryer (new heating element) in 15 minutes. Also took the time to refit the vent hose and check several other aspects of the dryer. I was verhy impressed with the service asnd will definite use this Company again!!

Great job, fixed the washing machine in less than a hour. Was cheaper and better than I expected. I would recommend this service to all of my friends.

My dryer started making a loud screeching noise. I called him on a Thursday and he came out the next day. He quickly took apart the dryer, determined the problem and identified the part I would need. Since it would not arrive until the following Tues, he put the dryer back together with a temporary repair that would get me through the weekend. I have never seen someone work as fast as he did! He was back the next week with the part and quickly replaced it. I was so impressed with his knowledge and work ethic. I will use him for all my appliance repairs from now on. I strongly recommend this company!

We have a rental home in Larchmont and the renters said the washing machine was acting up. I gave the renters the telephone number of G H Appliance repair and they made an appointment. The guy came and fixed the problem, which was only some type of adjustment and cleaning the hose. The repairman called me at work, explained everything to me, asked for my consent, fixed it and took my payment information over the phone. Excellent!

Excellent, George called as he said and advised he was in route, actually a bit ahead of schedule. George arrived about 9:45 AM He arrived and went right to work. You could tell from the way he approached the equipemnt this was not his first day on the job. George opened the dryer up, pulled out his meter and did his trouble shooting and within less than five minutes he identified the problem. George made the repair, cleaned up the interior of the dryer mechanical area and checked the operation of the dryer after the repair. I am experienced with working with repair tech's as I work in facility management for a national retial chain of stores. George was and is the type of guy you want to work on your equipment, honest and I think very fair and he was positive attitude the relates well with the customer. He explains what he is doing and how the mecahnics of the dryer works in a simple and clear way. This way you kind of understand what he is doing and what was defective thus needing repair. Look he could have told me this equipment needed several parts, how would I know? The dryer needed an $18.00 thermal fuse.. So he made me happy as the repair was 120.00 bucks but what is more important is he made my wife happy as she had one load of laundry in the dryer that was not dry and another in the washer that needed to be dried.George saved the day for me, who wants to go to a neighbors house to dry clothes or worst go to a filthy laundry mat. So for my experience.. GREAT JOB GH Appliance Repair.. you are now my go to company.. Thanks for being there. Oh by the way, the repair comes with a 90 day warranty for parts and labor. FANTASTIC..thanks George. keep this up and I am sure you and your company will develop a huge customer following.

They were courteous and very prompt. Our washing machine was showing an error code that I could not find on the manufacturer website or the internet. The owner answered the phone and came the next day. He was prompt, very nice, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Of course, the washing machine did not show the error code on the day of the visit, but he promised to return, at no service charge, if the error code returned. We would definitely call him again.

The guy came in and stood there for 2 seconds and knew the problem. He went to the truck to get a new coupler. He replaced and the washer has been working like a charm. This was very impressive to me for someone being able to turn on the washer and with in seconds he knew the problem. He was a young guy and he was very professional. He was very polite and extremely knowledgable. I would use him again and would recommend his services to others.

I came home from work on Friday and found that my refrigerator had stopped working. I was in a hurry and scanned the list of repair persons and like this review. So, I called GH late that afternoon. He answered the phone, answered my questions and set a time to come look at the fridge on Sat. He was a tad bit late late but he did call and tell me he was finishing up another job and was near by and arrived within 20 minutes or so. Once he got here he wasted no time in finding the problem. And he had the part with him. Within 30 min. he was done and out the door and the fridge is working just fine. Professional Clean Courteous Reasonable Honest

After having our kitchen remodeled (and our Bosch dishwasher moved to a different location in the kitchen) the "sanitized" light would no longer light up on the dishwasher. A friend recommended we call George with G & H. He scheduled us for the very next day, arrived on time, was personable and very professional. He was very thorough and did all that was possible to correct the problem, including reconnecting dishwasher hoses that the kitchen remodel person had connected incorrectly. As it turns out, even the manufacturer can't correct the problem. Bottom line: George was dealing with a problem that can't be repaired. He did all that could possibly be done and we will definitely hire him again for any and all appliance repair that we need.

I noticed a problem with the washer when it went into the spin cycle. For a couple of loads, I could restrt the cycle and it would spin the water out. Then it stopped doing any spin altogether. GH Services were selected from Angie's list primarily for a reasonable service fee and he was available within an hour of my call. The technician assessed the washer and determined that several parts needed to be replaced. The total cost for the parts and labor would run around $500. I decided that this was more than the washer was worth, so no repairs were made and I went out that afternoon and purchased an energy efficient washer based on the recommendation of the technician. We are still getting used to the fact that the new machine uses so much less water and it does not have an agitator. The clothes do appear to be getting clean though.

They responded promptly, they came in, they told me what it would cost, and they solved it so I was happy.

They came out, looked at it and determined that it was just a small issue of an adjustment with nothing needing to be replaced. I was just charged for a service call. Happy with the service.

I called and told him my GE fridge was not cooling properly. He was able to come the same day. He quickly assessed the problem (defrost heaters needed to be replaced) and defrosted the fridge so it would work temporarily until he could get the replacement part. He was very conscientious and did not leave any kind of mess. He was able to get the part the next morning and fix the problem. I felt the cost was reasonable and definitely better than paying for a new fridge. He even gave me sound advice on an extra fridge I have in my garage. I was impressed with the friendly, professional service. I will definitely use G H Appliance Repair again if needed.

Outstanding service! I called on a Saturday, expecting to leave a message. Not only did George answer the phone, he was at my home within 2 hours. He quickly diagnosed that the glow bulb was the bad part (this is what I suspected the be the cause of the trouble). He had a replacement part in his truck. He was in and out of our home within an hour, and we now have a working stove again. I would not hesitate to recommend George to anyone needing appliance repair. If the need arises again, I will be calling him back.

My refrigerator had been malfunctioning for a week. I called GH Appliance on the morning of 9/21/12 and they came out that day. The repair person was very neat, clean, and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem and order the part. He also fixed the fridge temporarily until the part came in. AND he fixed my ice machine that had not worked for years. YAY ICE!
