G H Appliance Repair

Awseome experience! After a horrible horrible experience with Sears Home Repair (I won't bore you with the month long details and wasted money on that one) I called GH Appliance Repair. Will came out and diagnosed the problem with our ice maker within a few minutes, ordered the part on the spot and came back and installed it as soon as it came in. Very professional from start to finish! I highly recommend them and will call them for all of our future repair needs.

Perfectly - prompt response, called before getting there. Knew what he was done (diagnosis took less than 30 mins - most of that was unloading the freezer to get to the back wall access). Ordered the part - told us when it would be in and when he'd be back to install it. Professional & curtious.

The work was terrific. He was very fast, he knew exactly what was wrong, and was able to fix the problem. His prices are reasonable, he was professional and prompt for the appointment also.

I called in the moring and was seen that afternoon. The owner actually tried to assist me my waklking me through the trouble shooting and saving me a house call. this was much much appriciated! It was a simple fix but he stuck around to troubleshoot other items with no charge. I will certanly call him again....

I had a very good experience and would recommend them to others based on it. The technician (William) was patient, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions in a friendly way. He took extra time to explain the technical details. He quickly brought in spare parts to isolate the problem, which ended up being a broken compressor, a very expensive repair. He took the time to draw up a repair estimate at my request, but due to how close it was to the cost of a new fridge he recommended against the repair and suggested it would be a better use of my money to replace it entirely. In short, this was clearly a highly skilled technician who understood his work and seemed to have my best interests in mind.

Wow. G.H appliance repair was terrific. We were looking for an appliance repair company to service our Samsung dryer. not an easy task. We called G.H and spoke to George personally. He was professional and competent He apologiesed that his calendar was full for that day but could come the following morning. He personally called again that evening to confirm the time The following day he called ahead to again confirm the time , and showed promptly at the scheduled time. Again he was professional and obviously competent. He immediately diagnosed the problem, waked us through the issue and advised that a special part ( mother board) would need to be ordered. Disappointed but we understood. George quoted the complete price, ordered the part and confirmed that he would service us as soon as the part arrived. Two days later he was on the phone and confirming the part had arrived and would be at our house the following day. Again he personally called the night before, confirmed the time for the service and advised us which maintenance crewman would finish the installation. The follow day GH arrived on tome, completed the repair and explained the service performed and their warranty policy. awesome experience

They came out the next day from when I called and installed the appliance. They made it very easy to work with them. They are quick and responsive as well.

George called 15 minutes prior to arriving which I thought was considerate. He was friendly and professional and worked carefully. He cleaned everything up after he was done and we thought the price was fair and reasonable. The job took him about 40 minutes and he definitely knew what he was doing! Our freezer is finally functional and we have ice again! We would definitely recommend GH Appliance Repair for your repair needs.

Well, i scheduled them to come from 10am-12pm during a weekday (try #1). The repairman did not call until 11:45 am to say that he was going to be late, and how long could my mother stay. I told him we would need to reschedule, for my mother was not going to wait another hour. We rescheduled for that Sat. from 11 to 1pm (try #2). When the repairperson did not show up during the allotted time, we loaded up in the car to start running errands. The repairman showe up at 1:20pm. Later that evening I listened to the call that we received at 12:58 pm to say that he was running late (again), so we rescheduled again from 1:00 - 3:00 pm (try #3). This time the owner showed up within the time promised to do the repair. After all of the waiting, I was finally able to use my washer after 6 days of trying to get the vendor to show up during the specified window. I will say they do know what they are doing, but they need to work on their scheduling.heduled

They are very nice and professional, they came early. I used a web site to search them, and put a request and they contacted me within 10 to 15 minutes. They're really good, they cleaned up everything, I don't recall having any issues with them.

Called at night for refrigerator that was beeping and above temperature. Spoke to George - nice guy who does try to accomodate to schedule. Came by a day later - took a look, diagnosed bad fan and would come back to replace. Next call was that the part that was delivered was wrong - will get right one and reschedule. This new part came in, he installed - still not working. Spent lots of time and effort trying to figure out what was wrong - said control board needed to be changed. Week later board in, came and installed - still not cooling and now tripping breaker. Came back out did some checking, told us to see if it cools now - gave it 3 days never cooled. Contacted George who said that would need to replace both fan and board - very rare to have both new parts fail, but that was the only thing he could imagine happened. 2 weeks later - I am the one initiating 3/4 of the calls to them to see about the board/fan- they can't find one. I look a minute online, see one, tell William who says they use the folks on the website and he will check - promises to call back next day by a certain time - never does (happens several times) - I am the one who has to call to check up. I still have no working refrigerator, mind you, but seems not like a big issue to them. Finally 3 days ago, William had checked with the place and confirmed they have part - was going to call right away and get right back to me to get part and let me know - I made it clear I needed to know and he assured me he would......no word. UNBELIEVABLE. Frustrated by a month of no fridge and a repair company that started work but not able to communicate and see it thru, got Sears to house to help. Technician very careful not to accuse, but looks like something was cut or missing near fan installation (bimetal) - so despite 4 weeks of waiting, new fan and board, not all parts were installed/there to even make the refrigerator work. Will not use GH again and recommend against them. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I first contacted the company on Saturday morning, talked to Will. He was out on a job which he did not expect to complete before 6:00pm. He said he would call me if he finished before that but encouraged me to call someone else. I was stood up by the other company, so I called back Monday morning. He said he could be there within the hour and would call when he was close. On arrival he went to work immediately and knew right away it was the start relay for the compressor. He explained it is a very common problem. He showed me the part, how to replace it, explained how to differentiate between a relay problem and a compressor problem, and wrote down the part number. He was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Will is an extremely professional and personable repairman. I would recommend G H to anyone for appliance repair.

His service team is exceptionally polite, professional and take extra steps to check out the entire appliance, not "Just" the issue called on. I do not need to look further when it comes to appliance people.... George and team are #1!

Great....don't hink it could have been much better!

Great repairman! He was quick to answer the phone, returned calls as promised, arrived during scheduled window and was professional the entire time. After seeming to fix the problem on the first call, he had to return a week later when the intermittent problem reappeared, was able to get the part needed in a couple of days and only charged us for the part - no extra labor costs or costs for the extra two visits! And now our dishwasher works great again. Definitely one of the best repair experiences we've ever had, will call him again for any & all repairs in the future.

Search no further. Why is it that these things always happen during the weekend? No ice, no water and warm weather is here! Not to worry though as we called GH Applicance Repair and Geroge anwered on the first ring. He quickly trouble shot the problem on the phone, went and got the part and came to our home early monday morning. He went straight to the refrigerator and got to work. His earlier trouble-shooting effort was 100 % correct so this made the repair very fast to accomplished. George and his crew are extremely professional, intelligent and wonderful to work with. You can't go wrong with them.

Fantastic service! I spoke with George on the phone and he set up a time the next day convenient to my schedule. The tech arrived on time and performed the repair quickly. So glad to have my oven back up and running again!

Overall we were pleased with the professionalism of the repair technician and his willingness to make sure we understood the nature of the problem and how he planned to fix it. As with most repairmen of this sort, we feel their labor rate is excessive. There are relatively few appliance repair businesses in Hampton Roads that are certified or will work on LG appliances.

It's nice to find a repair person that is helpful even when it is of no financial benefit to himself. I appreciate George answering my question!

My son fried the motherboard for my oven while trying to replace the oven light. He got way too deep into it, when all he needed to do was twist the glass cover off. Anyway, I emailed GH; they promptly replied with suggestions to fix it myself (who does that?!). Anyway, it didn't work. I asked if they could come fix it. They told me the 13th, but I said I had to work then; and asked him to come the 12th. they did. They ordered the part, and came the next afternoon when my son got home & installed the part. Easy Peasy!

He was punctual, professional, and pleasant. Dryer works great now. Would definitely call G H again for other repairs.

Found out on a Friday so didn't start looking for repairman until Saturday. Not expecting to get anyone until Monday so I was pleasantly surprised to get a return call from G&H that day who said they would contact renter for a Monday service call. Monday afternoon had call from repairman with diagnosis of faulty pump wiring which he repaired and then checked unit for proper functioning. Renters happy and I'm happy. My first experience with Angie's List and a very positive one. Will use G&H again!
