I love my porch and deck now....no more staining, just hose it off....Greg couldn't have been nicer or more helpful....his crew was great as well....will hire them again for more projects! I had several estimates and his was by far the best.

They were very informative of other companies that I could use to repair the work that needed to be done. He was very up front and honest, and didn't try and do something that he wasn't capable of doing.

The owner, Greg, came out the day after I called and I had an estimate the next day. The workers showed up on time and did an outstanding job and were able to repair a door that I have been having trouble with for years...even after other repairmen have "fixed" it. The workers were extremely friendly and helpful. Estimates were given in advance. Planning on using their services again.

They did a good job. The two workers came, then the boss came to look at the job, and made sure everything was going okay. I will call them again if something comes lose. The one thing that was good for me, was that they bought all the articles, and everything was included in the price.

I have used them twice. They came in November of last year, and they also came last March. They were on time. They came first to look at the work, they told me how long it would take, and talked to me about it, and they were good.

A few days after a heavy wind and rain storm had come through the area, I noticed what I thought were water stains around a light fixture on the ceiling in the hallway on the second floor. My first thought was that I had a problem with roof shingles, and I called my roofing company. Upon examination, the roofer said that it was not a shingle problem, but rather that the plastic straps holding the vent piping in the attic had broken. The collar around one of the roof vents in that area had pulled down and was full of water. He said that I needed to call a plumber to check out the piping, etc. I called Done Right late one day, and the owner, Greg, happened to answer the phone. He said he would be happy to have someone come out the next day, or the day after. He asked me call back in the morning and have a time set up with the scheduling person. I did that; but when I called, the scheduling lady was talking about being booked until the following week. I explained that I had spoken with Greg the previous day and what he said. Eventually Greg himself called me back and said he had the time to come out himself in the next day or two, which he did. He replaced the old plastic straps in the attic with metal ones, and he checked out the plumbing in the attic for me to make sure there were no further leaks from anything. Because he had the time, and because I was looking for some future repair work and painting to be done in my house, I took him through all the rooms and showed him the problem areas. He took down measurements for all the rooms that needed painting, and notes for all the prep work necessary. I also had a problem with some of my windows, and I showed him the piece of material that had been given to my husband when the windows were new that was supposed to fix the problem. He did not know how to fix them, but he said he had a friend in the window business he would ask for advice. He asked if he could borrow the piece, and I let him. When he left with all his information, he said he would get back to me with an estimate for the painting, etc. in a few days, probably the following Monday, if he could E mail it to me. I said that would be fine. In the meantime, he would also try to find out about the window problem. When I did not hear from him the following week, I called. I was particularly trying to pursue the window problem at that time, but was also curious about his estimates for the other work. When he evidently overheard the lady in the office talking to me on the telephone late one day that following week, I heard him yell in the background that he had not forgotten about me and would have the estimate for me soon. I assured him that was still okay. However, I never heard from him or anyone else in his company after that day. That was a little surprising after the amount of time he took in my house to do all the measurements, etc. and spend discussing the work with me. Greg was very personable, and I liked him. However, now I could not feel him to be dependable.

They came out right away after contacting them to give us an estimate. They were on time, were professional, and did a great job. They provided great communication throughout the work they did and when they rain into any problem, they called us right away. They finished their work right when they told us they would. Their estimate was lower than others we had gotten. Their work was excellent and we will definitely use them again.

We are nearing the end of a complete remodel of our master bathroom. Done Right has done a wonderful job and lived up to all our expectations! Every worker was experienced and polite. They were neat and they cleaned up at the end of each work day. They were on time, and left at the end of the day at reasonable hours. Greg, the owner, was here every day to check on workers and keep us informed. Always checked to make sure they were doing the job as we envisioned our bathroom to look like. We would highly recommend them!!...I am looking around my home to see what else I could talk my husband into letting me do!

We first contacted Done Right to repair siding and roofing on our barn. They did such a great job that we continued to use them for several months to complete the other projects outlined in the description above. We received very consistent communication and follow up, fair prices, and excellent workmanship on all projects. I highly recommend Done Right for any home repair or remodeling project. It is difficult to find a home repair company with the professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction that Done Right consistently demonstrates. We are certainly glad we found them.

Work was completed in a two half days. Everyone was pleasant to work with. Left no mess behind. Did not make it on initial scheduled date but did on rescheduled date and time (B-rating) as they were understanding that work needed to be completed before house was closed on. Price was most competitive from 3 bids. One bid was twice the other two and was local to Williamsburg. Definitely, worth getting multiple bids. Had to do some touch up painting on front railing afterward based on buyer walkthrough. Would use them again for sure.

They came out in August. They did a good job. They were very professional. The quote was too high for us.

I sent a message through Angie's List and called "Done Right" to set up an appointment to get an estimate. I was called back and informed that Tom would be there between 1-2 PM on 19 September to see the work I wanted done and get an estimate. At 10:30 on the day of the appointment I was called and told the owner had cancelled all estimate appointments as they were too busy to take any more estimates. I called the office and said I had taken a day off to be there to meet the estimator and I expected more of a contractor that I found on Angie's list. I would guess that if I failed to show up for a scheduled estimate appointment the contractor would want compensation. Totally unprofessional. Done Right? No, Done Wrong!

Requested estimate on painting, and carpenter work. Agent appeared for appointment and examined work. Promised estimate. We heard nothing for two weeks so I called. They mentioned secretarial problem, and sent email estimate. I called, and requested further estimate on gutter work. They promised to return for further estimate. I never heard from them again. I felt that if they were that unreliable on the estimate, they would be the same on the work, and I did not call again.

Called and showed up promptly and performed the job on time and to estimate. I really do not recall the price but it was well worth it

They were very good. I had to buy a new jamb and door, the price was reasonable considering where they had to buy stuff and I think I had to paint though. They had to take that sliding door apart and put it back together again and that was the job. They did a good job of it, I tried to fix it once before and it just didn't work but this time it has worked. They did it right and nobody else had been able to do it. Yesterday, they called and said they would be here in a certain time and actually they were here a little early. They called and said if it was okay if he comes a couple of hours early.

Everything went well - did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Curtious and professional. Answered all questions before and after the work.

They were on time, professional, did work in a timely fashion. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves. They were apologetic because they had to return to complete door installation, not because of their error. More importantly, the job was done correctly!! Will use them again, and refer them to friends! Price was fair.

Very good results. We had a problem with flooding in backyard which was in danger of having water into the garage. Crew was very professional and explained what they were doing every step of the way. Before digging the had all utilities in the yard marked which proved very valuable as the electric line was in the area where digging was being done. After job completed we had heavy rain and no more flooding.

They did a great job. They were time efficient, very careful and cleaned up. They seemed very trustworthy and the price was reasonable.

Nothing was done as we never heard from them after leaving 2 messages. We hired another contractor who did return our calls.

Not much was "Done Right" here. The experience started out as promising. I called and a guy came over to give me an estimate. We went over everything I wanted fixed and replaced. He assured me that they were a professional and experienced company, and even mentioned Angie's List as a reference. He quoted me around $700, which I thought was reasonable for everything that I was asking, and said that it would only take one full day to do everything. He told me that they would call me to schedule an appointment. It took them several days to call me, but eventually they did. The earliest appointment was a week out, which was fine. I made the appointment and made arrangements with my job so that I could take off and be here. It can be difficult for me to take off at work. The appointment time came and no one showed up. When I called they said that they were having manpower issues and would have to reschedule. You would have thought they would have let me know this ahead of time before I stayed home from work, but they didn't. They told me they would have to call me back to reschedule once they figured out a date. A week goes by and I hear nothing, so yet again I call and see if they have worked their problems out. They said that they have and set another date. This time I could not be there because of work so I had my mother come by and stay at the house while I was gone. When I returned the work was anything but satisfactory. There were some good points: Soffit: Replaced and installed appropriately. No complaints with this. Paint front door trim, replace wooden "kick board" at bottom of front door: The trim was painted, however the front kick board was not replaced, just painted over. Not only did I request it to be replaced, it was quite old, dinged, and chipped. Very obviously needed to be replaced. Whoever came out simply painted over the old paint on the board. Paint railings and trim on front porch: Simply wanted my wooden porch trim repainted white. I live in a townhouse so it was not much to do. They only painted half of the trim and left the other half. How, or why, they did this I'm not sure. Replace wood near roof line: This was replaced and painted appropriately. Paint rear french doors: Again, not painted correctly. Parts of the door were not painted at all. When I called to complain the apologized and said they would setup an appointment to have it fixed. This began another round of trying to schedule something. They still had manpower problems, I was told due to a death in someones family, and it took awhile before they could set anything up. I do understand there being a death but scheduling issues are not unique to them. Contractors finally showed up, while I was at work, and I received a call saying that they were there and fixed the issues. I arrived home to find about half the problems fixed, the others exactly as I had left them, including the bottom piece of the door. I called, complained, and they said they would send the man out who originally gave me the estimate. Another week later he shows up, with a worker, and they fix the remaining issues. Or so I thought. Two weeks after he leaves the piece of wood they replaced under my front door falls off completely. I don't know what kind of adhesive they used but it didn't work at all. I went down to Lowe's and bought a tube of Liquid Nails and fixed it myself. The whole experience was just one big headache that took nearly two months to resolve. I needed a handful of handyman type jobs performed and I assumed that by hiring this company they would be done quicker and better than I could do them myself. Not the case. Hopefully for Done Right this was just an off time for them and they've figured out their scheduling problems by now.
