I have been living at this addresse for almost 24 years. Woodbridge Plumbing has been my plumber for most of those years. They have served me in almost every task that a plumber can carry out. I wasn't aware, however, they were on Angie's List. Wife got out of the shower last night (04-01-10) and indicated there was no hot water. I went to the basement to check it out. Saw the hot water heater was leaking. Called this AM (04-02-10) and scheduled a service call during the 10 AM to 1 PM hours. They showed up at 9:45 AM. About 1:30 PM they were finished with the heater replacement. The estimates were right on. Another job carried out professionally and friendly by these great people.

The washer and kitchen faucet installation went well. I could not be more pleased. However, I had to call them back out to fix my shower's hot water problem again because the first plumber didn't replace all the parts. But they didn't charge me to come back out and take care of it and they came quickly on my schedule.

They came out right away when I called and for the follow up they set up an appointment and completed the work.

2nd follow-up visit - no charge - as they had told me, sometimes snaking requires two visits because material loosened by the first snake clumps down the line. They came out immediately, snaked again - hit a stoppage further down the line than last time. good job.

On time, fast, and professional. The only detriment for me, in Fairfax Station, was that I had to pay a travel fee, which I had never encountered before for this kind of service. Guess I should have asked, since the company name is Woodbridge.

They were great to deal with, but it required 4 visits and a $400 bill simply to stop our toilet from running. Considering that you can buy a new toilet for $150, this doesn't seem like money well spent.

They were available, and came when we needed them. We wanted them to connect the pipes, so they weren't visible. They did that for us.

The Service Tech and Helper arrived as scheudaled. Checked what need to be fixed and explained service that he would perform to fix the problem. He was here about 2 hours and fixed the problem. He was neat and left our bathrooms looking as if he had not taken things apart.

The problem first surfaced several weeks ago when the cold water valve to the washing machine began a slow drip. It became a problem about three days ago when it became a rapid drip. I was unable to solve the problem on my own so I called Woodbridge Plumbing about 10 AM this morning. They said they could have someone come out and check on it between 3PM and 6pm. Dave knocked on the door about 3:05 PM and immediately went about solving the problem. Initially, he felt that repacking the nut that secured the valve would fix the problem. After about three attempts at repacking the nut and having it fail, he decided to replace the valve. Dave went out to his truck and returned with a MAPP torch to help him remove the old valve. I went around the house and opened all the faucets to completely drain the lines. He removed the old valve and put on the new "Boiler Drain" valve, soldering it on with the MAPP torch. The entire process took about 20 minutes. Dave is an experienced plumber who worked quickley and efficiently. A job well done.

I've used this company many times (in spite of the mediocre review) for various projects. Some times I thought they did a fine job and other times I've sworn I'll never use them again. The problem is, they have alot of different plumbers and I've found that some of them are excellent. Unfortunately some of them are also lousy. What I now do is, I've found 2 of their plumbers that I like and I request these 2 each time. Once they sent out a different guy in spite of my request and of course the work was sub-par (they said the guy I'd requested had called in sick), so now I tell them to send the guy I requested or re-schedule. Anyhow, in spite of the erratic work they do I've had trouble finding anyone better in this area so I do keep using them. I guess I would give them very high marks for the plumbers I like and low marks for the others, but since I can count on getting the ones I like, its ok for me to keep using them.

He diagnosed the problem over the phone and arrived on time with the correct part (Moen valve replacement). Working on "time and materials," he finished the shower valve replacement withing the initial 15-minute service call period, plus gave us the Angie's List discount. Very professional and competent.

It was easy and fast to make the appointment. Jim showed up right on time and was very polite and professional throughout. We are confident that the steps he took and recommendations he gave were right on target.

I have used Woodbridge Plumbing for years but after my last visit, I will never use them again and I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere. Let me start with the Cliffs Notes: Woodbridge Plumbing did a lousy job, refused to accept responsibility, and I ended up paying another plumber hundreds of dollars to fix what Woodbridge Plumbing refused to fix. So if you want to pay double for basic plumbing jobs, then Woodbridge Plumbing just may be for you. Now the details: I had Woodbridge Plumbing over to do a few things including: 1) Installing two bathroom faucets on our second floor 2) Installing two toilets on our second floor After they left, I realized that the flow rate on for the hot water in the master bath was roughly 1/2 of all the others. I also noticed that the drain in the guest bath drained about 1/4 as slowly as the master bath. While on the phone, they told me that I had a bad faucet and then actually suggested (I am not making this up) that I uninstall the faucet, exchange it at Home Depot, and re-install it. They also suggested that the guest bathroom?s sink needed to be snaked ? although the drained perfectly before they installed the new faucet. My attempts to get them back here were fruitless so I gave up. Perhaps I have unrealistic expectations of customer service, but if my plumber notices something wrong, I expect them to let me know and give me options. Instead, they left a couple of problems for me to discover, and then blew me off on the phone. So I brought another plumbing company in and this is what we found: 1) The slow flow of the master bathroom?s faucet was because the rubber gasket of the hot water shut-off valve started to come off and was blocking the water. Their suggestion to replace the sink was 100% off and displays, what I consider, a very lazy approach to customer service. 2) The slow drain rate in the guest bathroom was because Woodbridge Plumbing installed the stopper way too low. The new plumber installed it correctly and water drains as fast as it used to before Woodbridge Plumbing came. I wish things ended here but they do not. We told the new plumbers that we got new tile floors in our bathrooms. They asked if Woodbridge Plumbing raised the flange to the new level of the floor when they installed the new toilets. Let me explain this for non-plumbers. If you install tile where there used to be vinyl, the floor is going to raise about 3/4 of an inch. The toilet?s drain pipe (or flange) needs to be level with the floor and should thus be raised 3/4 (if not a tiny big higher). Anyway, I did not know whether they did or not so our new plumber checked. We found out that Woodbridge Plumbing installed two wax rings to make up the height. According to our new plumber, this would have started to eventually leak. What is especially infuriating about this is that our kitchen is being re-modeled and we don?t have a ceiling which gives plumbers directly access to the sub-floor pipes. This was the ideal environment to do things correctly. But instead of telling me the problem and giving me options, they decided to do it on the cheap, creating a situation that very well have caused a leak in the future. Because of this, I would STRONGLY recommend that people avoid Woodbridge Plumbing at all costs. I am incredibly forgiving of mistakes, but when a company refuses to admit that they could possibly do something wrong that then requires me to spend hundreds extra to fix their mistakes, then I consider them to be unacceptable.

We developed a critical regulator valve leak overnight that required shutting off water to our home. I called Woodbridge Plumbing at 8 a.m. this morning to schedule replacement of the regulator valve. Willie answered and said someone could be out to repair between the hours of 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The crew arrived promptly at 11 a.m., and completed the repair within an hour. Mike was efficient, professional, and cleaned up the area when work was completed. He demonstrated how to use the new installed shut off valve and explained all aspects of the repair work. It was a pleasure to have such a responsive, knowledgeable company complete the work!!

Woodbridge Plumbing was very responsive to our request -- the office staff and estimator were prompt and responsive. The plumbers came out within the week and arrived on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up after themselves. There was a small issue with a valve that they should have replaced on our hot water heater, and when we called to tell them, they immediately sent someone over to fix the problem, free of charge. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I have saved their contact info because Woodbridge Plumbing is who we'll be calling next time we need a plumber!

It went very well. The cost and transportation fee were exactly what was quoted. They even let me know beforehand how to test whether it would possibly be a more expensive repair. That was helpful. Greg was very quick, friendly, and courteous.

They were able to come out the day I called to repair a clogged toilet. They were punctual responsive and clean.

Removed a 22 year old relic from a TH that I just bought and replaced it with a new 50 gal Hot Water Heater. Very professional. Gave advice on some other possible plumbing issues. Had hot water in an hour! Hauled away the old beast and clean up was great. Thanks guys.

The water heater, which is 21 years old, didn't have to be replaced and that was a very pleasant surprise. They told me it was still in very good shape and was easily repaired. We tried to fix the toilet handle ourselves, but couldn't find the right parts. Woodbridge plumbing fixed it and volunteered to put the new toilet seat on, no charge.

The representative was great. The price was extremely reasonable. He cleaned up after himself. He did a good job and I was really impressed with his work.

They were great. They not only did their job well, but I thought that their price was very reasonable. They gave us really good information. I was incredibly impressed with them.

They had sent two young men out to do the work. They came a day after I had called them and they cut out a piece of the paneling and a piece of the ceiling to fix the leak. They did it so well that the person who later came to do the main work had no problem. They were really good and really professional, and fixed the leak perfectly. We haven?t had a leak since. They had also cleaned up after themselves, and I am really happy with them.

I thought the work was a little pricey but they did a fine job with the repair.

They have been very good. They are very helpful and very prompt. They are courteous and do a good job. I do not have any problems with them. Their price seems fair to me.
