Woodbridge Plumbing came, and analyzed the problem, replace the needed parts, and we were up and running the next day.

We had a toilet that was leaking and called Woodbridge Plumbing that came out at my conveniencel. I was afraid it was going to be an issue where the toilet would have to be removed but he quickly found a bad valve which was causing the water to squirt out the top of tank and run down the side everytime the toilet was flushed.He replaced the parts in the tank and it worked perfectly. He was courteous and friendly and did a great job, We have never had any problems using Woodbridge Plumbing and highly recommend them.

The repair took less than an hour, Scott installed it flawlessly. He was on time, knowledgable , professional and friendly. We have been using this company for over 15-20 years and are always pleased with their services and prices. They even gave us a senior discount, which we appreciated .

Quick work, cleaned up after himself. Everything worked fine. I find them a little more expensive than another plumber we used in the past, but Woodbridge can schedule your work quickly, no long waits for a visit, and their work is always/always reliable. Never use anyone else now.

Went very well. We called them last night when the tank sprang a leak and water was everywhere. On the phone we were able to get instructions to stop the water until the morning when they came with a new replacement tank. This company remains HIGH on our list and is strongly recommended.

I had a leak in the basement from a pipe in the kitchen wall. It had been leaking for awhile to the point it created a moldy hole in the ceiling. Woodbridge Plumbing came out, found the leak, replaced the copper pipe and were on their way within two hours. I and my mother have used them before on multiple occasions. They provide what you need w/o the upsell.

I called on New Year's day because of a broken drain pipe, but it was not a true emergency (just couldn't use my kitchen sink) so I got my name on the list for the next day. Someone called me back first thing in the morning and scheduled me for the same day. Scott arrived even a little ahead of the timeframe I was given, after calling first. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. I was very pleased and would definitely use the company again.

I had noticed a wet spot in the drywall ceiling and wall of the basement. Woodbridge Plumbing came out quickly and were able to fix the problem. While they were there, I mentioned something I had noticed in another part of our basement - small green, copper bits were falling from the ceiling into a storage room in the basement. He said it was from a very small leak somewhere up the pipe. Upon further investigation he found a small hole from a nail that had punctured a pipe. He also fixed that problem. He was there for close to 2 hours and the bill was only $300 - I thought that was a good deal considering all he had to do. We would use this company again, and recommend them to friends!

When I came back from my trip, I was lacking in water pressure. The gentleman from Woodbridge Plumbing came out in a timely manner, determined the problem and went about fixing it quickly. Within 2 hours, the problem was solved and everything was taken care of. He even took the time to take a look at another issue that had a quick solution and did not charge me for anything additional. I was very pleased with service I received.

Mid-day Saturday a pipe burst along the back exterior wall of our house. I got the water turned off, then called three other companies from Angie's list claiming to have emergency/24-hr service - two didn't answer at all and one just said they didn't have anyone. Thankfully Woodbridge answered and dispatched a tech immediately. They even gave me an idea of what the cost would be, given it was a Saturday. Leroy arrived about an hour later (totally understood this as he was pulled from the other side of town). The first thing Leroy did was give us a quick tutorial on properly winterizing our outside faucets (which was the problem). Having just arrived back in the States from the Middle East, we really appreciated this as we were out of practice in winterizing. Leroy then cut a small hole in the wall, quickly found the leak and started the repair. He patiently answered my husband's many questions about the process, as well as offered a couple of suggestions for fixing the hole in the wall. Before he started repairing Leroy laid down plastic and swept up the mess afterward, taking all of the trash with him. Leroy was friendly, but professional and a wonderful representative of the company. The whole process took just under an hour.

My refrigerator stopped dispensing water. I was able to determine that there was no water coming from the valve on the wall. When I would open and close the valve I only got 3-4 drops of black, oily looking water. Mike called within the service window and was done before the service window ended. He first replaced the valve, as we both thought is was bad, due to the oily looking water it was putting out. When that did not solve the problem he determined that the pipe was frozen. He put a blow dryer on the pipe and it finally started to work after about 30-45 minutes. He also placed an access panel in the wall behind the fridge, so we could open it during cold weather in the future and allow the warm room air to get behind the drywall to prevent freezing. I liked that he thought about the next time by placing the access panel. That was a cheap thing to do and will likely help prevent this in the future. Mike was also very friendly and told me what he was doing the entire time. I will definitely use this company in the future and will recommend it to friends.

In short, really poor work and terrible attitude. Things that happened: (1) WP workers broke a gas line in the basement while installing the new hot water heater (not a complicated installation either, just switching out the old HWH w/ a new one); (2) WP workers denied that there was a gas leak when I told them that the basement and the first floor of our house smelled strongly of gas; (3) WP workers eventually admitted there was a gas leak from a where a pipe had cracked, but aggressively expressed that they had nothing to do w/ the crack/leak (although for 25 years there was no problem and it was the pipes the WP workers were touching where the crack/leak occurred); (4) WP workers "repaired" the gas leak (although they charged us for the time AND a highly rated Angie's List HVAC company that came to our house the next day told us that it may not have been repaired correctly - we're looking into it); (5) WP workers tried to leave our house while 3 of the 4 faucets they were replacing were exhibiting obvious problems (e.g., obvious leaking, stoppers not closing or opening); (6) WP workers made it so that our dishwasher wouldn't open more than a few inches and then aggresively expressed that they had nothing to do with it and that it must have been an existing problem (even though there was no problem before they touched it); (7) WP workers knocked out our furnace pilot light w/ the broken gas line (we determined the next day) and left w/out relighting it; (8) When we called WP the next morning to ask that someone come back and check out the furnace (which didn't have any problems before the gas line break - expressing our suspicion that it was just the pilot light but that we wanted one of their professionals to look at it in case there was an ongoing issue w/ the gas line repair and we didn't want to possibly blow up our house - the owner of the company (he identified himself as the owner on the phone) STARTED YELLING AT ME over the phone telling me that his workers hadn't done anything wrong at my house (even though he himself was never at my house and really had no way of knowing). He said that he might be able to get someone to our house in the late afternoon and I expressed my interest in getting someone out sooner in case the issue was related to the broken gas piping and would require more serious repairs than simply relighting a pilot light (and thus possibly leaving us w/out a furnace over night w/ very low temps and us having a baby in the house). I suggested that if Woodbridge Plumbing couldn't or wouldn't come out to our house that I get an HVAC company to come by that morning and if it ended up being something related to the Woodbridge Plumbing workers' work, then Woodbridge Plumbing could reimburse us for the cost we incurred to fix the problem. I was speaking very calmly the entire time. At this point, the owner of Woodbridge Plumbing lost it and STARTED YELLING AT ME AGAIN about how it wasn't his problem. Now, when I say yelling, I actually mean yelling - not just raised voice. I've never had a contractor yell at me. Especially not one to whom I was being polite and had just handed over big $$$$ for sub-par work. ---- it was crazy. Woodbridge Plumbing did not come out to our house again. We had a very good HVAC company come out that morning. The HVAC company pointed out that the plumbers' repair of the gas line may not be safe long-term, quickly re-lit the pilot light, and noted that the plumbers had set the hot water heater drainage pipe to drain onto our floor and not into the drain in the ground and also had set it in a way that blocked us from removing the very obvious filter to our furnace (the HVAC company fixed both issues for us for free). I've had many, many experiences with contractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, carpenters, painters, etc., etc.) over the decade or so I've owned homes in the DC area. Like many of you (I imagine), I've had some poor experiences, many adequate experiences, and some genuinely good experiences. My experience with Woodbridge Plumbing was one of the very worst experiences I've had with a contractor, ever.

Every time I turned on the water in my sinks or shower the downstairs toilet would fill with water and over flow. I tried plunging it, pouring drain cleaner in it and using the hand snake, but nothing worked. So I was convinced it was something in the main line. I am new to the Woodbridge area and had no idea who the best plumbers were. I initially contacted Roto Rooter who wanted over $500. I wasn't about to pay that. I saw several other plumbers online but wasn't sure which was were the best so I decided to join Angeie's list so I get get other peoples reviews. I choose Woodbridge Plumbers because they were one of the first ones to pop up on Angie's list. I also saw that they had an a rating out of over 150 reviews and they had been honored with the super service award. I called Woodbridge Plumbing around 8:00 this morning and they set an appt to come out between 10am and 1pm. Two service men arrived on time and ready to go to work. They were both very nice and down to earth. They quickly determined the problem was in the main line. They Hooked up the electric snake and snake it out. The entire time for them to get in and out was about 30 minutes. The full charge to snake the main line was $379, which I initially thought was a lot until I checked out some of the competitors prices. I ended up paying $369 because they gave me $10 off for being referred by Angie's List. As it turned out, I run a home daycare from my home and some or one of the kids had put paper towels and wipes in the toilet and backed it up. The experience with the plumbers was overall a very pleasant experience. I can sleep in peace tonight. I would definitely recommend these guys again!

I called Woodbridge plumbing because another company left me with my drain trap cut open and rescheduled on me twice. I called Woodbridge Plumbing on a Wednesday at 1pm and they said they would arrive between 8am-8:30am the next day. They showed up at 8:30am as promised. They surveyed the situation and told me what they planned on doing. They removed the drain, trap and cut portion of the drain pipe and replaced it. They completed the job and cleaned up. Tested everything out to confirm there was no leak. They were great from start to finish. Professional, punctual and there prices appear to be lower then most the other companies. I will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs. A great company. I highly recommend them. It's hard to find a company that gives a half hour window to arrive and then shows up within that window.

Vendor arrived on appointed date and time. Described to vendor slow drainage and duration of problem. After checking the kitchen sinks, gave an estimate on required services. Sink drain was snaked and clog was cleared in about 30 minutes with minimal impact on kitchen sink, countertops or immediate area. Serviceman was professional and completed the job in ample time.

When I called to make an appointment to fix a small leak, Woodbridge plumbing was able to set up an appointment for the next morning between 9 and 12. I received a call at 8:35 saying David would be at my house in 20 - 25 minutes. David showed up promptly at 9:00, was able to find the leak and made the repair in half an hour. He explained what the issue was, what he was doing to address the problem and answered the additional questions I had. I would definitely recommend Woodbridge Plumbing and would use them again

I am glad I found Woodbridge Plumbing on Angie's List and would not hesitate recommending them. They may charge a little more than others, but they are consistent, professional and the problem gets resolved. They also offer Military and Angie List customer discounts (10%) which is a little bit of a price break.

Selected Woodbridge Plumbing due to the numerous reviews on Angie's list. My phone call was promptly and pleasantly answered and my service call scheduled for the next morning. Communicated to the service manager that we needed the outside drain snaked, since we already knew the problem was outside on the other side of the trap, since we snaked the inside drain ourselves. The plumber and assistant were very prompt, polite and efficient, and were able to snake and remove the clog (25-30ft) within 30 minutes. Unfortunately for us, the 'set' price for snaking an outside drain is not the same as their standard plumbing rate. The standard rate is approximately $95 for the 1st half hour, with incremental increases for each quarter hour thereafter. To snake the drain OUTSIDE is $350, plus an additional trip charge of $20! I called Woodbridge Plumbing, upon finding out the $350 price tag, and was told that that is standard pricing for Northern Virginia. However, I have since called numerous other Angie's list plumbers after this work was performed, and no on had a 'set' charge for snaking the OUTSIDE drain. Most either simply charge by the hour, or the job, once the job was assessed. We even had some offer to come out to give a FREE estimate. Sorry Woodbridge Plumbing, I know you've been in business for over 70+ years, but I would have appreciated a heads-up on the huge swing in your pricing, especially when I clearly called to have the OUTSIDE drain snaked. I would have definitely called around, had I know this. To make matters worse, I found out from Grand Rental in Stafford, VA, that they rent a 50ft or 100ft, professional grade, outside snake for under $50 a day. So for the DYI'ers... Try renting one first! But be advised, the machine is heavy, powerful, and not for the faint at heart!

Toilet was bubbling when washer machine was spinning water out -- thought for sure I had a major blockage building in the sewer pipe -- prepared for the worse. Leroy and Scott showed up on time. Friendly and positive in attitude. Although I was leading them towards cleaning out the sewer pipe, which would have required removing a toilet and who knows what, and how much. Scott suggested it was not the sewer pipe but probably a clogged air vent. Well he was right. Leroy and Scott worked quickly and in 45 minutes they had cleaned out two air vents and were back in the truck. Problem solved. Offered and gave me my deserved Military discount. Professional, friendly, and patient with my questions. They worked efficiently to save time and money for me. I would definitely use them again. I am grateful.

The plumbers were very professional, quick, clean, and kind, even showing our son, who is working on his plumbing merit badge, how to solder a copper pipe joint. My yard was cleaned and reseeded with quality grass. They did minimal disruption of wallboard and left the basement cleaner than they found it. They were easy to do business with and real gentlemen. These guys made a potentially painful process about as good as it could be.
