Description of Work: Called on 4/30 to schedule an appt. for troubleshooting/fixing electrical problem in our kitchen. 72 hours later, no return phone call. It does not seem unreasonable to expect a response in that timeframe.

Description of Work: Root Electric gave me a bid for a job to extend service from an electrical extension from a detached garage 300 feet to a tool shed. The estimate was very detailed and very professional. I was very impressed with everything. I did not proceed with the project because of the overall cost in relation to how much benefit I thought I would obtain. The project was much more difficult and complex than I realized. However, I have no doubt in the validity of the estimate and the recommendation for what was included. I will go back to them if I have another project in the future and would highly recommend them to others based on the positive impression from this experience

Description of Work: Found Root Electric thru Angies List. Attic fan has been noisy for years. Bill Root quoted a reasonable price for replacing the motor. Called them a few weeks later to schedule. Technician arrived as scheduled. Cleaned up loose attic insulation.

Description of Work: Attempted repeatedly to contact Root by both email and multiple phone calls to get an estimate to fix an electrical problem at our home. Even after repeated attempts to get some response from them with no luck, we went with another electrical repair company. All calls went to the answering service. Both my wife and I both tried calling with no luck.

Description of Work: Called Root Electric twice. Once at around 0800 and got an answering service. Did not hear back from anyone so called again at 1230. I was told someone who could answer my question and give me a quote would call me back at in 10-20 minutes. 1 hour later, no phone call. I don't care if it's an hour. But don't lie and give inaccurate times or just say we're too busy and we don't need your business. Root needs to look at "how" they respond. Saying no is okay but just answer your customers.

They did not have the part on hand to fix immediately but came back same day to fix. They did not try to push any additional sales. I would definitely recommend them.

Rather than replace the entire fan he took the time to research a cheaper alternative and was able to reduce my cost by $200 by just replacing the fan motor. He was clean on time and very very professional. I would not hesitate to have Root electric do work for me again. he took the time to answer all my questions in detail. I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: Call Root Electric to setup an appointment to troubleshoot and possibly repair two ceiling fans/light fixtures that had stopped working. Mr. Bill Root, company owner, arrived two days later and on time. He even called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way 15 minutes in advance. Upon arrival he quickly found the problem in both fans; was able to repair one by replacing the bad receiver and installing a new wall-mounted remote control. The price of the remote was the same as that charged at The Home Depot or Lowes. The other fan he could not fix because the receiver unit was built into the fan, so I will have to replace the entire ceiling fan. In all the entire job of troubleshooting and repair was finished in less than one hour. During the service we had a great conversation about each others family and our lives. Mr. Root was a pleasure to talk to and he is truly an experience professional who knows his stuff. Will definitely call upon him again when I get my replacement ceiling fan. I'll have him install it since the fan is up in a vaulted ceiling. You can't go wrong with Root Electric!
