I called Bill Root because of previous Angie's List members' recommendations. He was very courteous and articulate on the phone, stated the cost per fan exactly, and left a very good overall impression. He arrived on time, did the work well, cleaned up perfectly and again was very personable and friendly. I'm not sure about the price. I thought it was high, but didn't get competing bids, and I have no complaints about it. In fact he reminded me about the discount coupon, and even knocked off a few more dollars.

Bill and his son showed up on time, the work was completed quicker than I anticipated and the house was left as clean if not cleaner than when they arrived.

Mr. Root returned my phone call, the next morning. We set up a date for the install, he did have to come the following day, as he had a problem at a current work site. These things happen, as we all know. Was prompt on the next day, arriving with his son. They installed 3 ceiling fans and 3 wall switches. Mr. Root had suggested a dual switch unit for the fans, which he went to a local big box home improvement store and purchased himself. The work was done professionally, both men very courteous and knowledgeable. Cleaned up when they were done. Work was completed on budget and in only 3 hours. Also, this price was what another electrician had quoted me, for only 2 of the fans, so Mr. Root's pricing is obviously excellent.

Mr. Root was on time and was very nice. He also explained everything before and as he was doing the task. At the end, he gave me the current discount even though I didn't have the coupon on hand. I would definitely hire him again.

Mr. Root's answering service was efficient and relayed my service request promptly. Mr. Root then called me and took my explanation of the problem, and set up an appointment time for later that same day. He called before arriving at my home, went about diagnosing the problem, and found the faulty outlet, and replaced it. He even had to move some heavy furniture to find the outlets, and did this without complaint. The entire experience went smoothly, and I was extremely pleased with the whole job. I would definitely recommend him and I will use him again in my home.

Mr. Root called back in a prompt manner and offered to come out the next day on his way home from calls since we were close by. (Boy, I'm am so glad he was able to work on in that Friday late afternoon because the one outlet controlled the garage door opener and with the snow.) He asked questions on the phone and had me check something in the breaker box to see if it would solve the problem without making a trip out. Mr. Root conducted himself in a very professional manner and was very approachable. After he was finished, I asked him about some other electrical work I wanted to have done in the future; replacing some ceiling fixtures in the basement, adding an extra switch to a kitchen fixture to a more accessible wall, and switching lights around in an existing 3-switch wall outlet, (he did the last one on the spot) and he gave his opinion on the other two matters. When we do get new furnishings for the basement, he will definitely be the one we call for new lighting.
