Root Electric

Andrew the electrician arrived right on time. He assessed the situation, said he needed to get part, went out and got it, and came back and installed it. The whole thing took an hour.

They were punctual, offered us options, very polite. Efficient. We're very pleased with the end result, esp. the heat lamp. I would definately use them again.

I called Root Electric on December 22, and Mr. Root called me back the same day. I described my problem, and we set up an appointment for December 27. Mr. Root also mentioned his billing rate upfront, and the name of the technician who would be performing the work. John called me prior to his arrival and indicated he was ahead of schedule, and asked if it was ok to come early, which was great. When John and his partner arrived, they were very professional and friendly. I described the problem more in depth, and they promptly began troubleshooting the electrical wiring issue and resolved the issue within the hour. They did a great job, and I would hire them again.

I called Root Electric based on reviews from Angies list, received a call the next business day and was scheduled within a week. Bill came out and took care of the problem and was able to re-wire without having to cut any drywall. Instead of just cutting, he took a minute to determine if he could just lift the exhaust fan up and send the wire down through the wall. So instead of doing the work and leaving me with drywall to repair, he did exactly what I wanted and left both bathrooms better than when he arrived. He will treat you and your repairs/project just like he would his own home.

Upon moving into our new house, I had the scare of my life after being shocked terribly by a light fixture. I called a different electrician that didn't give me a good feeling and then called Root. I'm so glad that I found them. First, the answering service was prompt, and Mr. Root, the owner, promptly returned my call. He was able to stop by the next day and has many years of experience. As soon as I met him, I felt confident and knew that he was exactly the person I wanted doing work on the house. He was up front about pricing, too. For the first visit, he examined and removed the faulty fixture, installed a new fixture, and also inspected other areas that had been worrying me. This was about $200. I had truly been afraid to use anything electrical after the accident, but he reassured me. He determined that the house had a grounding rod but no copper grounding wire. He told me that some of the work a different electrician had recommended was not necessary. Mr. Root returned several weeks later to install the wire and several light fixtures. Again, he was up front about pricing and actually charged us per fixture as opposed to the hourly rate since we had so many fixtures, which saved us money. The work is not cheap, but after getting other estimates, it was the least expensive. It was $700 to install the wire and 6 fixtures. I was really pleased overall. Mr. Root was nice and easy to communicate with, very experienced, and prompt. Also, the pricing was fair.

I was really happy with them. The chandelier turned out to be poorly designed, and they were not able to get it up and hang it for no fault of their own. They actually didn’t charge me for their time. In addition, they gave me advice about possible ways to get it fixed. I have used them before, and they did good work. They had done another light installation for me. They were very professional, so I would highly recommend them. I would use them again in the future.

I was very pleased. I've used them on multiple occasions. I have been pleased with their timeliness. They are very responsive. They gave an easy to understand explanation of the work that needed to be done. The price was reasonable and the quality was good. Their price is competitive in the marketplace.

We sent Root Electric an email on a Sunday through Angie's list and had an email reply by noon on Monday from Bill Root. We had talked on the phone by 3:00 that day and had an appointment for Bill come by to do an estimate for us. Bill came by that week, made some design suggestions for the kitchen lighting and within a few days had emailed us a proposal. Bill was extremely patient and took the time to answer all our questions while we dithered over exactly what we wanted with regard to our kitchen lighting. Eric, John, and Bill's dad were here today and did the work. They were top notch, professional, and worked closely with us on exactly where the lighting would be placed. They were absolutely super. I can't say enough good things about them. If you're looking for quality electric work and superb customer service, Root Electric will make you very happy.

From the phone call to schedule the appointment, to Bill coming to my house to complete the work, I was very happy. An appointment was scheduled and Bill arrived on the appointment day on time. He was very professional and knowledgable. Although I didn't have any major electrical problems, my circuit and outlet problems were quickly taken care of. Bill also walked with me through my house as I addressed other issues to be taken care of in the future. I will be contacting Root Electric to work on these issues in the spring.

The electrician at first tried to cut a 2' X 3/4' hole in my inside dining room wall to get the feed up from the basement. I expressed my extreme dismay at this, and he then tried and sucessfully got the wire up from the basement. He had also drilled a hole in the outside wall, which I wasn't aware of until it was drilled, which proved to be unnecessary if he went up through the basement. With the outdoor receptacle, he first drilled a hole in outside wall which punched through to the inside wall, creating a huge hole in the dining room. He then realized he had to install it soley from the outside. He was new to the company apparently. So, I have a hole in the outside brick, a hole in the inside dining room, and a hole in the tile which was cut to bring the feed up from the basement. I shudder to think what my situation would be if I'd let him continue unobserved. As it is, there are 2 large and unsightly holes that extend through the brick on two sides of the house, and one huge hole that I cannot repair myself in the inside dining room.

This is the third time I have used Root Electric. I now live 4 hours from the property in question. I have had bad experiences with other companies before finding Mr. Root. It is comforting knowing I can depend on a competent, rsponsible and responsive individual. Bill returned my request for service the same day making arrangements to get in the house. He completed the work on the day we arranged and mad arrangements for my payment. I have had Bill repair mistakes others made and he has always offered fanatastic service at a reasonable price.

Smooth and pleasant experience. Mr Root has a great personality.

The people were very professional from the phone call to the finished work. The technician was on time, did the work and cleaned up. He was very pleasant and we questioned the exhaust fan’s function. They came back, cleaned it and explained that the fan’s design was the reason it worked in a different way than the old one.

Pleasant, professional, knowledgeable. Explained what he was doing and why. We will definitely use them again.

We have been very pleased with them and used them a number of times. They are polite, efficient and reasonably priced. They are completely trustworthy. The guy we have dealt with is wonderful. Their pricing was reasonable. Bill came out and he was terrific.

As a property management company, we frequently find ourselves in need of electrician services. We always call Root Electric when that need arises. Over the past year, Root Electric has handled approximately 8 service calls for us. They are very responsive and set the appointments quickly. They are very informative and make sure we understand the problem and the proposed solution before proceeding with the work. Their prices are very reasonable and we are very pleased with the customer service that they provide.

I emailed Bill Root work I wanted completed. Later the same day, he called and discussed the pros and cons for different options and then emailed me the final quote. It was Root Electric who informed me that the hallway recessed fixture wasn't IC safe when they were installing additional recessed lighting in my kitchen at a past job. The work was done in a timely and professional manner as always.

First the man checked out the outside outlet in the back of the house which controlled the 3 outlets about 60 feet behind the house in my little ?park? These were installed underground and I used them for trimming bushes. Next he checked the series of 6 GFI type electrical outlets on all floors and the garage. He had to replace the one in the powder room which he said was ?fried.? The one in the basement was not working either which I just found out about when my neighbor tried to use it last Saturday because he was using his wet-vac to take the water out of one part of my basement. Also not working was the one in the garage which caused the sprinkler system not to work. The grass had not been growing lately until Lee came along and dumped so much rain that the grass revived. I didn?t realize that that GFI was responsible for the sprinkler system. He also showed me the little tester that he used. I live alone and no one had ever explained anything to me before. I went out and bought one of them later in the day. Now I am in good shape with his help. He was very nice and easy to get along with. They are much cheaper than Michael & Sons who charged me well over twice as much as Root after only 5 minutes work last spring.

Everything went very well from my phone call to Root Electric, the two phone calls to set up the appointment and the quick service. Bill Root was at my door within three hours of my call. He was courteous and professional and certainly knew his job. He answered my questions and checked my fuse box to ease my concern about it. It was probably a good thing this happened because now I know who to call if I have more problems, I definitely would use Root Electric again.

Everything went well. Did a good job taking down the light fixture and the ceiling fan works perfectly.

The guy's name is Bll Root. He's awesome and we've used him several times. We would definitely use them again.

I was particularly impressed with the company because of their willingness and ability to "squeeze" my repairs into their schedule so quickly after I called them. We were having a weekend guest and needed to get the repairs done before that. Thank you so much for your responsiveness
