Root Electric

Great experience. First did a walk through to discuss the job and then received a detailed estimate for the work. Also received a prompt, detailed response when I had a question about the quote. The work done was all of great quality. The two-person team arrived on time and were very efficient. Everything looks great and I'm very pleased with the work.

Contacted Bill for an estimate. He arrived on time and we walked thru the job. Within 24 hours I had my detailed estimate, received answers to my questions and agreed on a date and time for the job. On the day, the 2 man crew arrived on time and got right to work. We walked thru the job, and as the guys started, they asked good questions as things came up and when we had decision points they came up with creative solutions. For example, we thought we could add an outlet to a group, but encountered a stud and drain pipe. They offered 2 alternatives and we quickly decided.At every point where I would have wanted to provide input they asked and we arrived at a quick decision -- and I was able to get a full day of work in! They cleaned up after themselves and did the outside work after I had to leave on travel. They encountered a problem and attempted to reach my on my cell and provided an email summarizing the options and we were able to come to a quick answer.Bill and his team were on time, professional, courteous and did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves. I would absolutely recommend them.Nice work!

This is the second time I have used Root Electric and will continue to use them for all electric maintenance and repairs. We had new kitchen countertops installed and during the course of that work a power tool blew a circuit. I did the usual checks of tripped circuit breakers and GFI switches, with no luck. I called Root Electric around 8:15 a.m. the next morning and the work was completed a little after noon the same day. One circuit breaker in the main circuit panel was "blown" and Mr. Root replaced it. Very responsive. Mr. Root is a very nice man and excellent electrician. I strongly recommend him.

It went great. The guys were pleasant to deal with and got the job done in just one hour. The lights look great. We have some additional electrical work that will need to be done in the near future. We will use Root again.

Root Electric are alwasy responsive and accomodating, if i have a problem they are there the next day if not the same day i call.

We used them in the past through a suggestion from someone and we had great service on that visit. I needed them to come out on the most recent visit to hang some lights that were not uniform and he did a good job with that work. They are polite and neat with the work.

They've done a great job and I'm having them do some more work for me.

It was started by the father and he lives about 4 houses down the street and they always do excellent work. They did outstanding work and they got it done quickly. It worked out real good. They have all positive ratings and when I called them, they came over and gave me a couple of options and told me what it would cost. They were real friendly;, they got the work done quick and seemed to be very knowledgeable about how to do it the right way.

Love these folks! Simply the best to deal with & very professional when they arrive to your home. I purchased the "heavy duty" joist hanger electrical box for the enclosed ceiling where the chandelier was going to be installed. The guys (2) showed up & reviewed the job, explained the task and we discussed price; all was what I was informed by Bill Root. Everything was as they stated. All went according to plan- and that is really a plus. The light looks wonderful & I feel safe that the fixture (very heavy) will not fall on the dinning room table come time to gather around the dinning room for a meal! I would certainly call Root Electrical back for more services in the future. They are certainly my "GO TO" company when I need electrical work done. I have used them in the past based on Angie's List referral & go going each time!

This is the second time I've hired Root Electric and I continue to be impressed by them. Bill Root (Jr and Sr) are very responsive and informative. The crew was, as usual, very professional and it is evident from thier work that they are experts in their field. I would strongly recommend getting them on any electrical project you want to accomplish. You definitely get what you pay for!

I had three electrical outlets in my kitchen and one in the living room that were not working. I had all outlets replaced by another company a few months earlier. Root electric was able to troubleshoot all the outlets and find a short and fix the problem. The man who did the work was very professional, courteous, and friendly. I will definitely use Root Electric for any future electrical work.

We really appreciate Bill's personalized approach. He really tried to understand what we needed and to work with us on the timing etc. The lights look great and really illuminate our yard. We noticed that the motion detector is aimed closer to the house than is helpful, so Bill is sending out his technicians to adjust it (so someone further from the house trips it and benefits from the illumination).

Of the three estimates I received, Root was the only one to do the estimate in person. I know this takes time and increases customer acquisition costs for a small business, but I'm generally impressed by it. Root's price was not really different from the other quotes I got, so the personal touch made the difference. I did reduce the scope of my original request, and they were quick with turning around a revised proposal. For the work, the two electricians showed up right on time the day of the work. We did an initial walk-through of the work to be performed, and then they got to it. Both were friendly and professional. In doing the work, they found a problem with the wiring of the GFCI switch in the bathroom that they fixed while doing the other work, and at no additional cost. The work was all well done as far as I could see. Everything worked appropriately. They took me through each change they made. In the guest bathroom where they split the switch, they explained how they wired it should I want to make any future changes. I also appreciated that they didn't try to sell me additional work, which I have encountered in the past. I was pleased with the overall experience, and I would definitely use Root again for any electrical work I need done.

They arrived on time, were courteous, professional and completed their work in the allotted time. Took time to explain all the repairs. Overall experience was excellent and I will use them again for any future electrical repair.

He even called me back later to insure all went well!

I did not follow up, believing that it is not incumbent upon me to do so. Quality of work might be outstanding, but I just don't know.

They did great service and I felt they gave a fair price. They came on time and cleaned everything up before leaving. They even called me back a week later to make sure everything was running fine. I had a technical question for him when he called back and answered it for me.

Brian and Casey replaced all the worn out light switches on my first floor. They showed up on time, were very professional, and worked quickly and quietly. They explained what was wrong and showed me how they were going to fix the problem and patiently answered all of my questions. Great job. Will definitely use this company in the future.

However, it was out of my price range at that time. Had no other prices to compare. I thought they were very professional and knowledgeable about my problem. I would probably try and use them in the future.

They are fine. They have done a bunch of work for us in the past. They are our electrician. It was a good experience. We have been using them for 4 years. It is a good family run business. They are very easy to deal with. They always send someone out to do nice and concise estimates. I never had an issue with them.

Mr. Bill Root dropped by the home on 7 January 2014 to accomplish the repair. We had discussed the problem in several previous phone conversations leading up to his visit to the house, and he was quick to call back and discuss a good time to drop by given the recent tragedy in our family. When he arrived he quickly determined the issue, acquired a newer, better designed dimmer and quickly and professionally installed it to get the lighting functioning again, all within 30 quick minutes. This was the second visit to the house by Root electric in a year and half, previous visit involving replacement of our outside lamp post day/night sensor which was quickly repaired and functioning again. Mr. Root is more than just a great electrician; he is a good friend and a person with a heart who understands what family and being a parent is. I informed Mr. Root that my beloved daughter of 21 years had recently and unexpectedly passed away the week before Christmas due to complication from medications to treat an aggressive form of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) she suffered from at an early age. Also made him aware that many of our family, friends, neighbors and work place colleagues had made donations to a nationally organized foundation dedicated to finding better treatments and a future cure for RA; instead of charging the family with the cost of the electrical repair which we were ready to pay, he requested we donate that full amount to the foundation dedicated to finding a cure for RA . That is a man with a heart who understands what family means to those who lose a loved one and he/his company are not only our electricians as long as we live in this area, they are forever friends of the family. Thank you Bill, we are very grateful for your deed and repairing of our kitchen lighting during this difficult time as we strive to make 2014 a better year.

They are pretty good. We really enjoy their service. They are friendly and nice. They answer all of our questions. We will continue to use them.

The switch and circuit were replaced quickly and efficiently. The repairman (the owner) explained to my husband what he had done wrong and how to avoid the problem again in the future. Very prompt, friendly, and professional. We will definitely call them in the future for any electrical repairs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Two workers arrived on schedule. They were friendly and courteous. One ran electric cabling outside while the other installed the outlet in the basement. Both then completed the outside work. My husband was advised beforehand to arrange for trenching to be done by someone else (he rented a trencher from Home Depot) because Root would have to charge a very large amount if we asked them to do the work (points for honesty). The work was completed in about 4 hours. We have called on Root three times so far and each experience has been fantastic.

Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and they were sensitive to our scheduling difficulties. The guys that did the work were top notch and installed the bathroom lights quickly and professionally. Same with reconfiguring the wiring on the existing ceiling fan. These guys are very knowledgeable, and I would call them with any electrical issue or need.
