Great! The packers were friendly and professional. They treated our stuff like it was their own and packed it incredibly carefully and quickly. The movers were very accommodating and worked extremely hard to get all of our stuff moved in one day. Not a single thing was broken and they were polite and professional. It could not have gone better!

Great!! They were easy to deal with, friendly and well priced. We did not have any issues - and during that busy time, I was SO thankful for their exceptional service.

The move went very well. They packed up all the items on the one day, leaving only the bedding for us to use that night. The next day they packed up the bedding and moved all the items to the new house. Then they unpacked the whole all the large items and placed them in the locations we requested. Then remade up the beds, etc. When we were finished with all the unpacking they came back and took all the empty boxes.

The crew was really really amazing. MANY things made their job harder. On this move (and on one just a few days earlier for my son), they were problem solvers, not complainers. Everything --- and I do mean everything --- was more challenging than they expected. The crew chief in particular (crap, I cannot remember his name today -- he deserves high praise) was especially even-tempered which made what was an extremely emotional event (for me) much easier for everyone to endure. It was a lot of $$$ ... but ... I guess you get what you pay for. A lesser (and perhaps less costly) group could never have accomplished what they did.

The team at Regency Moving and Storage was fast and professional. This is the third time I've used their services. I've recommended them to several friends who have used them as well. If I ever move again they will be my first and only call.

BLUF: We were very impressed with Regency, and that is no easy task. First, Regency was able to accommodate us and move us 1 day earlier than planned. Next, on moving day, the team showed up bright and early. The team was professional, polite and moved with a "purpose"! Lastly, they arrived at our new home and rapidly unloaded our items in the exact locations that we specified. I would not hesitate to use them again and I would recommend Regency to everyone.

We had outstanding value and service from Regency, I highly recommend them. I had a change in dates and locations and they were able to accommodate all the changes. Both the packing and moving crews were exceptionally professional, thorough and friendly. They fairly credited me for things I packed, so the actual cost actually came in below estimate. The only things that arrived broken were things I packed myself. Additionally, their original quotes came in at almost half (for real - I was getting 18-20K quotes) of the other two estimates, so I was a bit skeptical, but they performed as promised. Hopefully I'm not moving again soon, but if I do I will definitely use them.

All the packing and moving went smoothly and without major damage to any furniture. Because of storing, they handled everything a minimum of three times . Two things that I wish I had been told: if I had used a credit card, the cost would have been 5 percent higher. I did not know this until I was ready to pay for the packing and original move. The second was that I needed a cashier's check when the movers brought everything to me. If I had known about the cashier's check at least 2 days before the furniture arrived, rather than the about 18 hours, it would have been much easier. If I had not already established a bank in the new town, it would have been even more difficult. Moving is stressful enough without these little surprises.

I can't say enough about how great the Regency team was in moving our family to Virginia. They handled everything like it was their own. They were cordial and polite for the two days of packing and delivery. They took everything apart and put it back together with no issues. I can't think of anything that was scratched or dented....certainly nothing broken. I mentioned at the beginning that this was going to be a busy time for my family and I needed an extra level of service. Cliff (owner) assured me they would take care of me, and the team delivered. They went above and beyond. I don't know when we will need your services again, but when we do, I will only use Regency. I will also suggest you to any one interested in moving.

Moving went well and as promised

It went very smoothly, they did a great job and I would recommend them. I would also hire them in the future.

It was mostly alright because the men managing the move were able to improvise. They had not been told the move was to an apartment building with an elevator. They didn't have the right dollies etc. on the truck. They also had no idea how to reassemble a sleep number bed with adjustable platform. I had to spend an additional $350 to have the bed reassembled after they botched the effort. In addition, there was a low hanging light fixture in the house. A crystal came off when it was bumped by a carton. I was able to repair it but it shouldn't have happened. Lastly, the owner had indicated there would be an Angie's List member discount. I had to fight to make that happen. Then the check was mailed to the address from which I moved! We had used Regency 16 years earlier with a much better experience.

Great. The packers wrapped and packed most of our home in one day. The following day the movers arrived exactly on time and went to work emptying out the house and packing the things that remained. They were fast efficient and picked up anything left behind. They arrived at our new house in Arkansas on time and immediately went to work unloading. They were extremely courteous and great people with which to work. In fact we thought they did such a great job we hired them a month later to move our 94 year old Mother to Arkansas to live with the family. Again Regency performed a great job. We would most certainly recommend Regency Moving and Storage to anyone considering relocating.

I have moved many times and this move was the worse I have ever experienced! It took Regency movers five and a half hours to move me from a one bedroom and den condo, close to an elevator, on the 4th floor, to their truck. There were three men; one older man who stayed in the truck arranging the furniture, and two younger men who moved me out of the condo. I had packed everything except furniture and some paintings. Around twelve thirty, I started to panic and told them I was afraid we would get stuck in the rush hour traffic down to Fredericksburg which is exactly what happened. I felt that the men were intentionally slow, being paid hourly at $175, and only speeded up when I started to complain. When they finally finished, they left and I followed shortly after to Fredericksburg and my new address. As predicted, it took me three hours in rush hour traffic to get to my new apartment and they arrived an hour later. They finished moving me in at 11:30 pm. While moving me in, one of the younger men told me that he had dropped my four poster headboard and broken two of the posts. They also broke the side of my wooden wine cabinet tray, put a dent in the frame of one of my paintings, and broke the filial for one of my lamps. The next morning I talked to the junior owner and told him how awful the move had been and the damages. He told me that it wasn't their fault the men got stuck in rush hour traffic and that I should have taken out extra insurance for the damage. He would send me a claim form and that accidents happen. I told him that in all my moves, I had never had anything broken. He then faxed me the cost and it was over $3000, being billed for 14 and a half hours, plus material. I found it unacceptable. It took me four calls to finally reach the senior owner to talk about the bill and he told me that they had taken three hours off. The next day I called and told him I would take two more hours off, which he accepted. I further told him that I would take care of the damages myself through my insurance company. It still makes me heartsick to remember that terrible day and to see the damage done by these careless movers who had no respect for my belongings.

Regency provided us with a quote that put them not as they lowest bidder, but as a bidder who seemed more professional and trusworthy, they basically gave us the warm fuzzy feeling we were looking for. The movers were running a little late because of traffic, but they called and told us that they would be late by about a half hour. They really knew what they were doing and the crew they sent was professional and very fast in loading and unloading our belognings with care and the utmost respect. I had a very positive experience with Regency and would use them again if needed.

I could spend a lot of time detailing how frustrating and awful our experience with these movers was, but even a year later I'm still annoyed at the time wasted on them, so will just offer the biggest reasons why you shouldn't use them: * We got 2 estimates for our move. Regency beat the other offer by $1,000. So, we thought, how bad could it be? Maybe they'll be a little over their initial assessment but it'll still be way cheaper. The actual cost of the move was almost exactly $1,000 higher that their estimate (that's right, 3 zeros!), so it turned out to be the same price as the other company. I believe the term is "bait and switch. * They only sent 2 people to pack a whole single family home and thought it would take just a few hours. Needless to say, they were there way longer than they expected. The workers seemed grumpy about that, like they hadn't expected that much work. The under-estimate of their time was part of the under-estimate of the cost. And they did an increasingly bad job packing as the job progressed. * We have 2 small kids and really needed them to do the unpacking part of the move. We've had this done with another mover a few years prior and thought we knew what to expect. We understand that they just take stuff out of the boxes and put it on every available surface. I didn't understand why they tried to dissuade us from selecting this additional service. Until I saw how they did it. It honestly looked like they just turned boxes upside down and dumped them on the floor. In nearly every room, there was just a mountain of stuff piled on top of other stuff with absolutely no regard as to what it was or that it might be ruined by such treatment. My wedding photo album was at the bottom of one of those piles, along with other precious items. * They seemed annoyed at having to put things in the rooms where we wanted them. I'm sure it does suck to bring a heavy dresser up two flights of stairs, which is why I'm paying you to do exactly that job. They ignored writing on the sides of boxes that said where it should go. There were garden tools in my kids bedroom. A tiny amount of respect for the family you're working for and some basic logic would tell you that perhaps such items shouldn't be in a pile of kids stuff. * They finished working after 9 pm. After a long day, all we wanted to do was get our kids in bed, but had to move giant piles of things from on top of our kids' beds and our bed and shove things aside to make a path to get to the beds just to be able to get them to bed before total meltdown. I know moves are hard, but you think it might have occurred to them that we'd have to sleep that night. At the very least, they could have turned the boxes upside down somewhere other than our beds. * When I called to complain about these things, it was clear that I wasn't going to get anywhere. They were rude, dismissive and not the slightest bit concerned with having a happy customer. After moving, I just didn't have the energy to follow through on trying to get money back from them. Wish I could have, because maybe it would have helped someone else not get the same treatment, but instead I'm writing this now. Just don't hire them. Plain and simple. And I can't remember ever writing a negative review of a company in my life.

They provide a quote and were the lowest bidder and they seemed more professional and trusworthy. We had a complicated move and our furniture had to split into 2 locations: apartment and off-site storage company. They said they did this type of move all the time. They really knew what they were doing. The crew they sent was professional. Then, when we moved from the apt. and storage to our townhome they sent the same crew leader which was great because he remembered where everything was supposed to go. Also, when we intitially moved into the apartment it started to rain and they sent 4 more guys over. They called us to see if it was ok because it would cost more, but it ended up costing the same because they finished on sooner. We've moved alot in the past 10 years and this company was by far the best.

Got an estimate of $1,125 which was reduced to $1,000 but we ultimately paid only $675. Mike, our sales rep, was instrumental in helping us along the way. We closed on our home 1 day late which caused us to move our utilities' appointments and our moving appointment back a week. Regency adjusted their schedule to fit ours. The 3 gentlemen that moved us were polite and focused. We didn't have a lot of stuff but got from a 2 story home to a 3 story home required a lot of walking on their behalf and they never complained. They finished moving us under the scheduled time, hence the reason our bill was cheaper. We were very impressed and I highly recommend this company.

Owner handles all negotiations so decisions are made quickly and in a very straightforward fashion. The owner is highly responsive, shows flexibility on cost and does his best to satisfy customer needs/wishes. The move took three days, packing, loading and transporting. All staff were excellent. They were prompt and experienced at what they were doing. They were professional in their demeanor and had a sense of humor. For example, driving into Manhattan and moving contents into a NY coop can be tricky but they handled the unforeseen issues without a problem. I would use Regency again and don't hesitate to recommend them

Regency arrived on time and packed two trucks for the local move. I had concerns that we might have trouble getting a few pieces of large furniture out of the house because they had been moved in before construction at our old home. The challenge with those pieces was not getting them out of the old house but into the new one. The team took the time to remove legs on furniture and reassemble just so they could get them in the house. The team was diligent and they worked hard all day especially considering the heat and all the stairs in both of our old and new homes. The best part was that a week after the move we realized we were missing an area rug. We called Regency, they found it and they delivered to us the following day!

Local move with storage while waiting on a new construction home. Regency had good reviews on Angie's and with BBB and was the best cost while still a little more low tech in the estimation process but still highly accurate and competitive. Overall I was pleased with the service and the employees worked hard. A few minus were clean-up of tape rolls, etc. at packing as well as leaving cigarette butts and soda cans outside at both the pick-up and drop off locations. Only 1 lamp was broken and just minor wall markings mostly with the mattresses which I have come to expect but pleased overall. A few communication gaps with a third party for gym breakdown and setup

Great experience overall. My family did the packing ourselves and the things we did not know how to pack they took care of. Great crews (they are employees and you can tell). Very meticulous about inventory. Able to accomidate weekend move so I didn't have to take time off of work (even on Sunday). Nothing broke and very helpful to an unorganized homeowner.

More than I wanted to spend, but they were finished early ad reduced the costs accordingly. I suppose you get what you pay for because they were quick andefficient and I would use them again.

Very positive experience. Crew showed up on time w/ two trucks and four men. Went through the house and planned their attack. When 1st truck was filled, sent the other truck with me to empty out an 8X10 storage unit. Got everything from the house and storage unit unloaded into the new house in the time estimated and at the price quoted. Found nothing broken and they were very good about placing boxes and items where requested.
