i hired david to add additional insulation for my attic and garage. David was very responsive to my email/text. David was very professional. David came and gave me a very good quote. His crew came out and got the job done in a day. My townhome does seem warmer due to additional insulation. I highly recommend david.

United Spray Foam was one of four insulation contractors from whom we received a bid to insulate a ceiling in our home. This project was not straightforward because of non-uniform spacing between rafters. Each of the contractors proposed a different solution with varying degrees of complexity. David's spray foam option alleviated all of the concerns we had regarding insulating the space. He is extremely knowledgeable about his product, clear in his pricing and application. The project was completed as proposed, on time, as quoted and he and his crew did an excellent job cleaning the space. He is very easy to communicate with, answering all of our many questions. He receives our highest recommendation!

This is one of the finest contractors we have EVER had work in our home! The level of professionalism, expertise, trust, and reassurance to homeowner are unsurpassed! David provided before & after photos, explained in layman terms the problems, causes, and remedy. When hornets were discovered and his work was interrupted, he worked with us to protect our home from exterminator debris and immediately returned to finish the project once the hornets were gone. Homeowner satisfaction was paramount for David. He cheerfully left our home in immaculate condition after each day of work. This company and David Sampson should have the highest recommendations on Angie's List!

Very pleased with the work from this company. Our house in Arlington was a new build in 1994. It is two stories with vaulted ceilings in places. There is only one AC unit, in the basement. The house should have been built with two. The temperature difference between the first and second floors became increasingly extreme. It was noticeably hotter upstairs. This became worse in the last several years. USF did a great job with attic insulation to address this. David Sampson responded promptly to my initial contact, personally came to the house and explained carefully what needed to be done. He arrived back on the date agreed on with a crew. They removed all old insulation (sucked it out) and then sealed the entire attic floor with foam insulation that became rock hard. David called me up to show me what had been done so far and explained what would happen next. Then they sprayed in new cellulose insulation to a depth of 18 inches throughout the attic. The did the entire job in one day and were meticulous about cleaning up. No mess was left. The change is very noticeable. Although the upstairs remains warmer, the difference is slight (and expected, as hot air rises). It is a vast improvement and we are very pleased. David showed me how the old insulation was inadequate and that it had deteriorated. It needed to be removed completely and replaced, which is what USF did. I appreciated the fact that David took the time to show me what he was doing and to explain things carefully. I highly recommend USF. The cost was within my expected range.

Outstanding! USF Insulation was very prompt, precise and thorough in completing this job. David Sampson is very knowledgeable and provided multiple options to select from. USF Insulation was very transparent about all the benefits with each option. They were very careful inside and outside the house. They throughly cleaned up after work. We had them insulate the back wall of our row house on Capitol Hill. David was very patient in explaining all the ins and outs of insulation when we spoke on the phone. Within an hour of when we spoke he had a quote sent out to me. On the day of the installation they came when they said they would. David explained in detail the whole process and showed me what they were doing all along. They were very particular about cleaning up after the job was done. The whole job took about four hours. I would highly recommend USF Insulation if you are considering insulating your house. These guys are professionals in every sense of the word. They just finished the job and already I can feel the difference in our house.

David and his team were phenomenal. They were responsive, punctual, and extremely professional. The only access point to our attic is through my 1 year old daughters nursery. David taped up and sealed everything to protect the nursery as if it was his own child. We received quotes from a few other providers. While the amounts were similar, the scope of work that David provided was far beyond the others. The other companies offered to just add blown-in insulation over top of our existing 1950's insulation, whereas David pulled all the old rotting insulation, added sprayed foam on all surfaces, then followed with blow-in. I highly recommend using Prudent for any insulation work.

I contracted with The Craftmark Group, but they seem to be the same business as United Spray Foam. It was a pleasure working with David Sampson and Craftmark on our attic insulation project. When David came to estimate the job he carefully listened to our concerns and readily understood our needs. He thoroughly checked out all the details of our somewhat unusual attic, and he clearly explained what he proposed to do and our options. His price was significantly less than most of his competitors for the same or similar work. On the day the work was to be done David and his assistant arrived on time and quickly got to work. They were very respectful of our home. They carefully put out tarps to protect the areas that they would be walking through, and where their equipment would be situated. David even suggested that we take some pictures off the wall to ensure that they would not be damaged. They worked very efficiently throughout the day. They were very pleasant and friendly, and kept us informed about their progress. At the end of the job they thoroughly cleaned up, even replacing some books that had gotten knocked off a shelf. Due to a shipping delay they were unable to immediately deliver the 'battic door" that was part of the project, but as promised they came back the following week to complete the job. We were completely satisfied with both the process and the result.

Crew showed up on time and got to work immediately! They work almost non-stop for 8 plus hours. They cleaned up and left quietly. They were very professional and courteous. Very pleased!

Superb. They have great integrity in pricing and workmanship.

The guys arrived exactly as he said sharp @ 7.45am on saturday,. They got done in a few hours and asked me to inspect. They put rulers and I could see I was up to R55 in the attic. The garage drill and fill was bear.. they wrapped up around lunch and left the garage cleaner than it I myself ever had in the last 10 years! The temperature before the insulation work was 6 degress, between the master bed on the same floor as the kids bedrooms over the garage. Now it is less than 1 degree difference!! I see the heat pump running less and it will be a few months before I will be able to calculate the savings. But the biggest relief is the kid's bedrooms, they are so nice and cozy now! David and his crew are very knowledgeable , thoroughly professional and pay remarkable attention to detail and customer satisfaction. After our kitchen remodeling is complete next spring, we will have him and in and do the lower attic to R55.

I don’t have a clear sense of the effectiveness which maybe it’s not fundamentally something that they provide.

Everything went very smoothly, from initial contact with Mr. Sampson for the estimate to the final clean-up. The men who carried out the job were professional and hard-working. I climbed up the ladder several times to monitor their progress and they were very happy to explain the procedure and answer questions. The whole job took about 4 hours and I am very happy with the results. Long plagued by uneven temperatures on the different levels of my house in both summer and winter, the house now maintains an even temperature on all three levels, and I haven't had to adjust the thermostat at all, even during this extended heat wave.

This is the 2nd time using Absolute Insulation to do a major insulation project. The crew was also very diligent and attentive to details. The job was done to my satisfaction. I would use them again in the future.

Everything went well. They didn't make much of a mess, they did a good job. I was pleased with the experience. I have subsequently requested cost information for federal tax credit, and have yet to hear back.

David was very knowledgeable about what I could do to eliminate the ice dams I had been having, including providing suggestions on changes my roofers could make. He clearly knew more about insulation than the other companies I received quotes from. The price was also about $800 less. David was very responsive in providing estimates, flexible when my plans changed at the last minute, and great about keeping me updated on scheduling. The installers completed the work very quickly and professionally. They removed about 18 huge bags of old compacted fiberglass insulation, sprayed new foam insulation, and cleaned up everything. Overall, the process was quick and easy. I'm looking forward to a winter without water running in my house.

They did an outstanding job, and the price was very good. Quick, clean, and well priced. I had this service completed about 18 months ago, and I just realized that we never created a review. They were good enough that they deserved one. Even folks who have been in our attic for other jobs commented on how well done the work was, and they universally agreed that the price was surprising. They removed all the old fiberglass insulation, air sealed the entire attic (1250 square feet) with 3 inches of foam insulation and put caps over the pot lights and baffles on the soffits then they blew in cellulose insulation. They arrived on time. The price was competitive considering all the work that was done. I would recommend them highly!

This was a great experience from start to finish. It was clear from our first telephone conversation that David knew what he was talking about. He came by the house to do an estimate, and provided detailed options. For the scope of the work I felt the quote was extremely reasonable. This company removed all the old insulation and sprayed the entire floor with foam, then put in new insulation. This cost just a bit more than another company wanted to charge to hand seal gaps in the floor, and put some insulation on top of the old insulation. After a very easy scheduling process, the crew arrived exactly on time, and got right to work. The crew was exceptional! Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I feel that they went above and beyond explaining what they were doing, and when I pointed out one issue that I thought they needed to address a little better, they provided a thoughtful solution. Can't say enough about how great it was to have a crew of this caliber working in my home, as it really reduces the stress that home projects can cause. Insulation is a messy messy job, but you would not know it because they did such a great job cleaning up after. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this company.

Absolute Insulation did an excellent, above and beyond job on our insulation. This is a company that deserves a review for their exceptional service. We had multiple issues in our attic due to poor decisions we allowed previous companies to make several years ago regarding insulation and ?improvements? to our attic. Some of these issues included installing an attic fan and sealing off the ridge vent; trusting a company to install baffles, later finding out that they installed the baffles AFTER installing the insulation. The baffles were not covering our soffits, and they put the insulation over our soffits, resulting in the baffles serving no purpose and completely blocking air flow, as the attic fan ended up dying without us knowing. Due to these poor decisions, we ended up with no air flow in our attic and all the heat rising from our house into the attic with no place to go. Because of these bad experiences we had, we were really thorough in researching the best company to provide us effective insulation. Knowing the removal of insulation would be expensive, we removed most of the insulation ourselves prior to getting quotes on anything regarding insulation. We did a little research prior to David from Absolute arriving, and David proved knowledgeable and the information he gave, such as air sealing prior to insulation, solidified our decision to go with this company. He clearly knew his stuff and walked me through everything he would do to ensure we could close that attic door and never open it again. One of several stand-out things David did for us was informed us that our upstairs ceiling, was falling. Back in the day, it was acceptable to use nails, not screws, to secure the drywall to the trusses in the attic. He advised us that our ceiling would not support the dry foam or insulation. His honesty was so important to us, as he could have robbed us by just doing the job, our ceiling collapsing, and calling him back to re-do the job. If we didn?t have to resolve that issue first, he would have been able to come in within just a few days. We were also in the process of getting a new roof, and wanted them to complete that project first before installing insulation. We had the roof scheduled for a Monday, and Absolute scheduled for a Wednesday. Due to it being too windy to do the roof, we had to reschedule the roof for Wednesday, therefore pushing Absolute back. David was extremely flexible in cancelling for Wednesday, but he couldn?t get us in for about a week and a half, which was okay with us (we?d been dealing with a house with no insulation for weeks, so it was okay). But this is where David and his crew went above and beyond, and provided us the best service a company as EVER provided us: The roof project was successful on Wednesday, and we called David on Thursday to let him know it went successfully and we?d be ready for him next week. The ?Blizzard of 2016? was set to arrive that Friday afternoon. David called us Thursday afternoon and advised (we didn?t even ask) that he will be there early Friday morning and his crew would race the storm so we could have a warm house for the weekend. I was blown away with gratitude that he would do this for us ? and again, we didn?t even ask! They arrived early Friday morning with a crew larger than normal, and knocked out the project by noon that day. The cleaned up the remaining insulation that we did have, installed baffles, air sealed with foam, and then pumped in insulation. They were efficient and our attic looks GREAT. Our house warmed up quickly, the roofers have installed a ridge vent, so with the work of David and his crew, in conjunction with the roofers doing their thing, we have a fully ?working? attic, with proper air flow and insulation. We cannot thank David enough for being so flexible and accommodating, and providing us with exceptional service. If we ever had insulation needs again, Absolute is the place to go. They are great and I can?t say enough about their above and beyond serve they provided us in such a time of need. We highly recommend this company if you want a job done right!

The team arrived on time and the removal and reinsulating went well and they were finished by 1pm. they cleaned up after themselves and they job looked excellent. I received separate confirmation on a follow up energy survey that the insulation job was done very well. I would definitely recommend them.
