Prudent Homes did a wonderful job on my place. I researched a lot before I sought quotes. When we discussed my project, it was clear that they are profoundly competent doing this sort of work. They completed the project in under two days. The resulting improvement in the comfort of my home are wonderful.

I am very impressed with the work that David and his assistant from Prudent Homes performed in our basement. They completed the work in one day on two different occasions and it was a fairly large insulation project. They had to use 2 different types of insulation. David explained all work to be done upfront and provided an estimate which was very fair. They were polite, knowledgeable and very clean in the areas where they performed work. You would not have known they were in our house. Also, they arrived at our house at the exact time they stated on both occasions. We have had problems with other contractors in the past with this issue. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to all of my friends, neighbors and family.

David and his team were very professional and the work they did was excellent---we could tell the difference the next day. The temperature on the 2nd floor is several degree lower than before due to the new insulation and feels much more comfortable. Following discovery and repair of a roof leak, I needed to have my existing attic insulation removed, and new insulation installed. I received several quotes, and decided to choose Prudent based on David's timely and professional communications, honest appraisal of what the job would entail, and competitive pricing. David and his team did an excellent job throughout the process. They arrived on time, used drop cloths and plastic covers to keep everything clean, walked me through the process and progress, and shared pictures of areas I couldn't easily see or get to myself. At the end of the job, they thoroughly cleaned up all debris and left the house and property as they had found it. We discovered a minor issue later that evening, and David sent a member of the team out to fix it the next day. Excellent communication and work - very happy with the end result, and would hire again in a heartbeat.

Excellent. David explained his approach of using spray foam instead of replacing the fiberglass. He was very thorough and researched our area which is in a flood plain. The work was done in a timely, professional manner and with respect to the area, keeping it minimally impacted and cleaned up afterwards. The workers were very professional and courteous. It looks amazing and we are confident it will not only keep the moisture out and save on our thermal bills, but I suspect we will have fewer issues with critters getting into the crawlspace area as well.

David is a consummate professional and is always willing to take a second to respond to questions. He made himself available at multiple stages of the job for in-depth conversations and was always responsive to our concerns. We are confident in his workmanship and products and should we have further insulation needs in our home, he will definitely be our top pick.

Prudent homes (owned by David S.) did a great job removing and replacing all of the insulation in our house. He originally quoted removal and replacement with cellulose. My neighbor, whi recommended Prudent Homes, suggested that we look into the foam + cellulose. This was a bit more expensive, but it completely seals the attic with a thermal barrier. We chose the foam + cellulose and so far we are extremely happy with the even temperatures throughout the house. I was impressed with his knowledge and communication. He and his colleague did a very thorough job in the attic and cleaned everything up before they left. After he completed our house, I hired him to do my daughter's house. She had the same reaction that we did.... very professional, very thorough, fair pricing, and great customer service. I highly recommend Prudent Homes for insulation.

I recently purchased a house built in 1930 that had it's original insulation (and plenty of areas with no insulation at all). I requested multiple quotes, David was not the cheapest or most expensive, but he was by far the most thorough in his review of what I needed. We are feeling an immediate improvement in the house now that the work is done. He cleaned up well after himself. He was easy to work with and did stellar work. I highly and enthusiastically recommend him and his team.

David, the owner, provided tremendous service as we got ready to move into our new home back in October. The home inspector, prior to closing, discovered the house (with two attics) had barely 3" of insulation. as winter was quickly approaching and with the stress of purchasing a home, we quickly cast around to find the highest quality provider at the best price. Prudent Homes quickly rose to the top with both David's clear expertise and obvious passion for his work. He showed up on time as promised and did an extremely thorough job making sure both that the house was properly sealed from pests and had sufficient attic insulation, which was above the amount recommended by government agencies; all at a cost well below his competitors. we have been very warm and toasty during this winter and as a huge added bonus, our utility bills have been significantly lower than what the sellers told us they would be (just like David promised). As an added bonus, when a minor issue arose after, David quickly dispatched his team and fixed the issue without charging extra. We can't thank both David and his team enough for being an instrumental part of our family's safety and comfort!

Simple review, hire David, he knows his stuff. Of all the contractors we got quotes from, David had all the answers. The installation was quick and professional. And he was able to work through a couple tricky spots in my attic. I would hire him for other projects around the house but he only does insulation. Thanks David!

Great job and inexpensive comparing to what other companies are charging. Attics are David's thing. He is professional & knowledge. Break the services, materials and processed down systematically. His prompt and gets right to business. He services improved the health of my home overnight. Don't ignore your attic and call Prudent Homes!

David Sampson of Prudent Homes did an amazing job, I could immediately tell the difference in temperature in the garage and our two pantries where Dave applied blown-in insulation directly above. He made sure to protect all soffits and recessed light fixtures. He also applied insulation around the attic opening and cover. The price Dave charged was well less than a competitor, and Dave was much more thorough in his initial assessment. Dave and his worker made sure to clean up where needed. I highly recommend Dave and Prudent Homes, and will definitely use them again for future insulation needs.

David and his team installed dense-packed fiberglass insulation in our flat-roofed attic, using the drill-and-fill method. He was prompt, responsive, and did a great job explaining our options. He charged a competitive rate, and we were really impressed with the whole experience of working with him. Our house had a significant temperature problem on the second floor because of the lack of insulation (hot in the summer and freezing in the winter), and the difference was noticeable right away once he finished installing the insulation, which was great. I would definitely recommend hiring him!

Great experience. David provided two different material options with different characteristics and price points. Installation was punctual and efficient. My upstairs is at least 10 degrees cooler now on hot days!

After finding a dead raccoon in my attic, I learned that my insulation was not up to code. I got three quotes to replace the insulation, disinfect the attic, and build a platform so I could walk around without worrying about falling through the ceiling. Prudent Homes was by the most professional, knowledgeable, and inexpensive. They were literally almost half the other quotes I received and it was clear that Dave knew much more about what he was talking about then the other two companies. I would definitely hire them again.

From inquiry to completion, Prudent Homes was great! David was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. He took time to understand our needs and current issues during the free estimate, and his recommended approach aligned with our needs and was much better than other companies that provided an estimate. They arrived when scheduled, setup their drop clothes and supplies, and got right work. The result was exactly what we discussed, and the additional insulation, new baffles, and air sealing have made a tremendous difference. Our upstairs remains comfortable, even as the humid, 90 degree days began.

Dave and his staff did an awesome job! He earns my highest recommendation. Prudent Homes costs are well below a top competitor. How does Dave do this? Dave works from a small office in an industrial park in Manassas, answers his own phone and uses a phone answering service for backup, and does his own scheduling. His top competitor has two offices in expensive retail settings and has a staff to answer phones and schedule work. Dave passes the savings along to you. David Sampson and his team are just the best. True professionals. From start to finish the project could not have gone better. I highly recommend you speak with David if you have an insulation project. He will walk you through all the options and explain all in detail. The work was done in March. The first day the team removed all the attic insulation. I was amazed it was vacuumed out so clean. The attic looked just like it was before they insulated 20 years ago in 1999. The next day the put down the foam and blew in the insulation. Clean up inside and out was immaculate. Looking forward to July to see how well the system works. We just installed a new Trane system in the attic back In October. We have only used the AC a couple times this year mainly due to pollen and my hayfever. I know how well my Yeti coolers work and suspect this will do the same.

They were very courteous, even offering to carry groceries in from the car for my aging in-laws. They also did a wonderful job cleaning up, even sweeping the driveway. David was great, super knowledgeable and patient in explaining things. My house was built in 1945 and had no insulation whatsoever so I decided to change that when remodeling the kitchen. The walls aren't even closed up yet and there is no heater installed in the room yet, but it already feels far warmer than it was before just from the heat from the next room. As I continue to renovate one section at a time I am absolutely going to be calling David and Prudent to insulate as each section gets done.

My point contact was David, David (Prudent Homes) was very professional and responsive. He came to the house and provided a quote for the work. We had a good discussion on different types of methods of insulating attics. I am an engineer by trade and before hiring Dave was already set on insulating the attic using close cell spray foam. My biggest concern was to find a company I could trust. I received the sense almost immediately that I could trust this company and am very glad I went with them. They were responsive to my calls, showed up exactly when scheduled and called when they were on the way. They used a quality product and did a superior job. They removed all the old fiberglass insulation from the attic and added 5.5 inches of spray foam to the ceiling of the attic and 4 inches to the side walls. My heating system now runs only half the time that it did before. Significant difference. I highly recommend Prudent Homes for spray foam insulation projects.
