Description of Work: I purchased a deal online and they failed to communicate with me. I tried to reach out to them 3 days in a row and received no response. I left messages and even sent an email and tried calling again today and it went straight to voicemail. I only wanted to call to see when they would be coming out to perform the service I had purchased. I ended up having to call Angie's List customer service to cancel the deal altogether.

Description of Work: I purchased a gutter cleaning service through Angie's List. It sounded like a great deal. However, this past Friday, August 12th, J&E Services came to clean our gutters. We were very disappointed in the way they left our home. The water was left on, on the front of our house. It blew a hole in the hose that was attached to the spigot and flooded our front yard and soaked the entire front of our home, windows and doors. By the time we got home it was a mess. | |We will not be recommending or using their services in the future. |

Description of Work: Purchased a $79 Gutter Cleaning from Angies List and tried several times to schedule a time for them to come out and do the work. Finally heard back from them via email and scheduled them to come out on Friday. Once again, no one called and no one showed up. Spent 3 weeks trying to get this done so was a little agitated that I wasted so much time waiting around for this company to perform the work I had already paid for.

Description of Work: There was no call ahead and no evidence that they showed up to do any work. We were emailed communication multiple times that assured a call ahead before they would show up. And there was supposed to be a follow up after they completed the work. I received an invoice after 4 voicemails and 2 emails that were unresponded to for $50 indicating that there are screens on my gutters. The invoice itself from a due date perspective is they are asking for payment by June 2nd. There is one other item in the invoice that says to take before and after pictures for client with a quantity 1 by it at no cost. There were no photos received.

Description of Work: The company rescheduled the appointment multiple times; the original appointment was towards the end of August but they weren't able to come until October. Weather was a contributing factor, however the first reason they gave me was that they were "experiencing growing pains." I understood that to mean they didn't have enough people for the demand. The Big Deal I purchased was for "premium gutter cleaning." The person they sent to do the job had only been with the company 2 weeks. He didn't have the equipment he needed and cleaned the gutters with his bare hands. He ran out of bags and had to use some of mine. The Big Deal listed certain tasks that were supposed to be provided. When I questioned him, he called back to the office and let me speak to a manager (owner?) who told me "I don't know why Angie's List puts all that in the description." I do want to emphasize that the person doing the job was very pleasant, polite, and responsive. The problems seem to be coming from the management of the company. For these reasons, I would not use this company in the future.
