The Big Deal I purchased was for Whole-House Gutter and Roof Debris Removal with Inspection for $99. Two men came out to do the work. They were on the roof with a ladder leaning against the gutters. After they were done cleaning they came to door and said the chimneys needed some repairs. They showed me pictures and said they would give them to the owner for an estimate. After they left I noticed the corner of the gutter had been bent, scraped and that end of the gutter had not been cleaned. The gutter that they didn’t clean had a big gap with a piece of plastic I had put in it to prevent leaks that needed caulking and they didn’t mention it. I called the owner who said the repairman said they didn’t do the damage. Joe was supposed to come back out and look at the damage stating "the customer is always right". Two gentlemen came out today to look at the chimneys for an estimate when I was expecting Joe to look at the damaged gutter. They knew nothing about the gutter damage. They called Joe who came while I was gone and said it looked like I had gutters that were old and had been damaged by wear. When I called him and asked about fixing the original corner that had been damaged, he said it sounded like I was just after new gutters.

Joe was very professional and courteous. If it were not for my misunderstanding of the gutter size, I would have had them do the work.

It took awhile for them to get out here, but only because of the bad weather. When they did come, they did a great job from what I could see. I did not notice, but apparently they got some debris on our siding, so he asked for a hose to clean it off. We didn't have any, so he said he would come back. He did come back and took care of the issue, all the while keeping in contact about his plans. I plan on using them for all of my gutter/roofing issues in the future. Also, I asked him about caulking the windows, but he told me to hire a handyman as he thought his guys would cost more than I should have to pay for that type of job. Now that is honesty... it will pay off for them in the long run!

It was easy to schedule a time and they arrived on time on the scheduled date and performed the job quickly.

Great. It was forecast to snow on Monday so they took care of it On Sunday. I have gutter guards and unlike another company, they don't charge extra for cleaning them.

Within 2 days of purchasing the deal, the vendor notified me that they only clean the interior of the gutters, but not the exterior as I noted under the special instructions. They suggested I contact a painter or power washer. I am grateful they were honest and quick in their response. Saving both parties much disappointment.

We had to postpone the appointment because of the cold. They cleaned up well. The chimney sweeping took about an hour.

We had a hard time scheduling due to cold weather. J&C generally did a good job, pointed out some things that needed attention (gutter that needed to be rehung), but missed one problem (leak in downspout) that is damaging the brick in front of the house and still needs to be fixed. They tried to sell me gutter screens, but weren't pushy about it. Overall, I was pleased with the service and would use them again.

J&E cleaned a chimney and my gutters. They inspected both chimneys, and identified that only one needed to be cleaned, which I appreciated, saving me some money. They also cleaned my gutters while on the roof. I did have some small communication issues with them. They called 15 minutes ahead of the appointment, but it was actually one month and 15 minutes ahead. And then the day of my service came, and they didn't show up. I had called and left a message to make sure they were coming, and sent an email through Angie's list as well, with no response. They called my work phone number at the end of the four hour window to say that it was too cold to go on the roof. I would have appreciated a call at the beginning of the window saying that was a possibility, so I didn't wait around all morning for them not to be able to come. I appreciate the safety concern, I just wanted to know that up front and give them my cell number to call if they were going to come so I could run an errand or two. They did reschedule quickly, but it was frustrating.

Installation went well. Surround sound quality of speakers was as good if not better then we had hoped. Provider did get caught up at an earlier job but contacted us to let us know they would be late. Of course drywall/plaster work can be a mess but they really did a great job cleaning up our family room after the installation. They even vacuumed our cold air return vent!

I was not home when they provided their service. They called and communicated clearly however. I can't speak to how clean the gutters were or how well the inspection was done, but I assume it was done well as the spouts seem to flow fine and I did not expect any issues with the roof as it's young. My only issue was they left a trash bag of leaves and dirt that they pulled out of the gutters on the stairs of the deck in my back yard.

I would hire Joe and his company again. He did a good job, always called when he was on his way, didn't try to upsell and was very courteous. When we had to reschedule the gutter cleaning a couple times because everything was frozen, he apologized for my inconvenience even though it was obviously out of his control. Good guy. Good company.

They worked out good. I have not gone up on the roof to inspect it, so I don't know the quality of the work. They did have an issue with completing the installation on time originally. They got confused and didn't finish installing it, because the deal was for 100feet and I had 115feet, and I told them on phone just to go ahead and install it, but they stopped the installation because the message did not get passed over to the contractors. So they had to come back a week later and install the remaining 15feet. Other than that, everything was fine. There was the miscommunication, but the interaction was fine. They touched base with me immediately after I purchased a big deal, and they came out a week later to do it.

No actual verifiable complaints. They showed up reasonably punctual and got to work fast. While the chimney was begin cleaned, I went out to see what the gutter cleaner was doing, and he was already done in about 5-7 minutes or less. I thought he would push water or a brush through the gutters to flush out any stuck leaves, debris etc., which would take more than 10 minutes. I asked the lead crew member cleaning the chimney about this, and he tried to assure me that this gutter cleaner was a pro! Maybe he was, but he didn't give me report on the gutters. Instead the gutter cleaner was quick to show me several photos of damage to the roof and chimney that would require repairs. The chimney cleaner gave a report on the chimney inside. It was a mess and he showed me some parts that were falling apart inside. I verified this. Afterwards the owner called me and left messages about the roof damage that the "gutter cleaner" had taken photos of. The owner has a good demeanor and seems knowledgeable.

We were so please with the job that they did we had them come back and fix shingles on our roof and some work to our gutters. Would highly recommend.

The company was very responsive to setting up an appointment. The dispatcher called with updates on their arrival. The techs at the house did a great job explaining the damage that they found to the chimney (we had just recently bought the home).The did a nice job cleaning out the gutter using a blower. Cleaned up all the debris before they left. The dispatcher worked with me to have a certified chimney repairman come out to do an estimate. We have not had the work done on the chimney yet....

There was some confusion because we initially got an estimate for replacing outlets and switches. The individual that gave us the quote was the person who steered me towards this deal because it would be cheaper than paying for all of the outlets/switches separately. Unfortunately, when they arrived on the day of our appointment, they weren't prepared to do all of the switches we had planned to replace because the deal we purchased only included outlets. But because it was in writing on our initial estimate/quote, they honored it but didn't have all of the supplies to replace all of the switches we had intended (some were wired differently). They did say that they would take care of the ones they couldn't do during this appointment when they come back at a later time for another job. They were really polite and professional, and quick!

They did the job effectively. Quickly. Gave some good recommendations. Will consider them in future.
