Company responded promptly after choosing their Big Deal. Did the work as requested and cleaned up afterwards.

I after checking out their website,I called to confirm that J and E Home Services would clean the moss off a roof. I have a detached garage whose roof has a lot of moss growing on it. The scheduler confirmed that they do this type of work. Since I also needed my gutters cleaned, I set up an appointment to have that done, and she said the guy would look at the roof while he was there and provide an estimate. The earliest available appointment was about 3 weeks later, on June 3, 2014, and I took it. The gutter guys came out on the agreed date and cleaned the gutters. They told my husband that they didn't know anything about the roof issue and that someone else would have to come out and giive an estimate on that. As for the gutters, they cleaned them and noted that the front gutter was pulling away from the house and needed to be repaired, and several of the plastic grate covers were either missing or broken and needed to be replaced. They said they would send an estimate for the additional work. They charged my husband only $50 for the gutter cleaning, explaining that I had purchased an Angie's List coupon which covered the gutter cleaning, but there was a $50 surcharge because we have plastic gutter guards. In fact, I had not purchased a coupon from Angie' s List -- a fact my husband did not know -- and I still am not sure why J and E thought I had. The company's website clearly states that they do not charge a surcharge for grates on the gutters, so after the service, I called and spoke with the receptionist. After several go-rounds, we straightened out the correct charge for the gutter cleaning. Neither she nor "her manager" was aware that the website states they don't charge a surcharge for grates, so they did not charge me for that. and I owed an additional sum because I had not in fact purchased an Angie's List deal. I asked when I would get an estimate for the additional work on the gutters, all of which was noted on my original invoice. They said they would have to send someone out AGAIN to give us the estimate. They said they would send someone who could give us the estimate for the additional gutter work AND the moss removal from the roof. The soonest they could send someone was another 10 days later -- June 13 th. The guy showed up on the agreed date and informed my husband that he was only there for the gutter estimate and someone else would have to look at the roof. I called the office to find out what was going on, and the woman informed me that, no, they don't do moss removal. So now I have wasted nearly a month and a half for an estimate for work the company does not perform and I still do not have an estimate for the additional gutter work! I have called several times and have requested to speak with a manger. Each time, I have been told he would call me back, but I have never received a call. Not that I would use this company at this point anyway. But it is amazing to me that this company is in business and even more amazing is that it is an A rated company on Angie's List!! How is this even possible?!

I try to reach them never call me back.

Daniel and Jean came to inspect the roof on my townhouse. Afterwards he explained what he had found and the repairs he had done. He patiently answered all my questions and made some suggestions for the future upkeep of my roof.. He showed me pictures he had taken of the repairs he had done, and said his office would email me the pictures for my records. He honored everything that was offered in the big deal. I am very pleased. I would use that company again and would recommend him.

A couple weeks ago I called to arrange for them to clean the gutters on my house. They said the first available date was June 12th. Okay, that's understandable that this is a busy time for them. On June 11th I got a voicemail message from them stating that they would be at my house tomorrow. Great! On June 12th I got a phone call stating that they may not be able to make it due to severe weather in the area. Okay, that's understandable, too. Safety first! The problem I had was that they said the next time they would be able to come to my house was June 26th. What? If the weather is bad today you come tomorrow--not two weeks from now. I explained to them that my gutters needed cleaning badly because every hard rain was having a tendency to flood my basement walkout area, thus threatening to flood my basement. The lady on the phone--while very nice and courteous--could not seem to understand why this made no sense to me. She said she would look into it. On June 13th I called again to see if they would be coming that day. She said no and that they could come on June 26th. I told her that was unacceptable and to take me off the schedule. You should serve your customers in the order they were contacted. If the weather is bad you come the next day--not two weeks from now!

The two employees came on time and went right to work. They wore shoe covers when coming inside the house. They cleaned our chimney and did a great job. I asked them about reinstalling the chimney cover as it blew off a while back. They told me it was an older clip on model and it wasn't very secure. They showed me a better top of the line cover for about $100ish I am not 100% sure but they installed it without any issues. Again, communication during the work. The only minor issue that was not related to the work was, we asked them how much would it cost for them to go back up and take down the satellite dishes on the roof. One employee called the manager but got a voicemail. He said he would get back to me about a price, but I never heard from him about it. Again, nothing to do with the job paid for.

The cleaning went fine. They arrived on the date agreed. However, down spouts were knocked loose from the home and disconnected in certain areas. I phoned and J&E and asked if they inspect these items before leaving the property and receptionist could not give answer to that. I wanted someone to come back out same day and correct issue since it was due to rain all evening and down spout issue would cause the gutters to drain onto my deck. Was informed that they could not return until the next day. I feel this was unacceptable and a walk around should have been done before they left the property. As this was an easy fix. J&E didn't seem very concerned that workers left an issue at a job site.

We had to reschedule a couple of times due to the heavy snow. They first time they finally came out, they missed some spots, so I called them back out to finish the job. They cleaned out my gutter and blew my leaves away with a blower.

They did fine. They followed up and they had to come back because it rained out the first time so they were able to do that.

The provider was very prompt in setting up a service date, which was nice. He showed up on time, was courteous, quick, and explained all they had done and some additional work I may need done (replacing some shingles etc) with a free quote. I would definitely use them again, especially for such a great price!

Definitely NOT recommended. I have to believe that this company offers "Deals" in order to lure customers into doing unnecessary repairs. The receipt from this maintenance package states that J & E found five or six shingles that needed to be replaced. I just didn't get a confident enough feeling about this company to have them do the work without a second opinion. I had a reliable roofer here recently who said I should have asked them to show me pictures of the missing shingles because there weren't any. Unless the shingles magically replaced themselves, it seems evident that J & E was flat out lying. I feel that this company sold this big deal as an opportunity to commit fraudulent upsales, and, as a lawyer, I am not using the term FRAUD casually.

Excellent, First, I didn't have to miss work for them to do the work. They took photos, left detailed notes of issues that need to be addressed. They cleaned the gutters and there was not a speck of mess on the ground below. Very thorough! They found that I need to have the fascia replaced, gutters mounted correctly, and a new chimney crown which I have scheduled to have done later this month. They are also taking down an old satellite dish and replacing the shingles - and I am so ready to say goodbye to that eye sore! I have had several questions along the way and they have been very responsive and courteous. I would highly recommend and will leave further feedback once the rest of the work is complete.

Very professional staff, very convenient that I didn't need to be home for the services. Also took great pictures of my roof. Pointed out a problem but the price to fix it was very high in comparison with other roofers.

Everything went well and they did what we asked, but never emailed photos like they promised (not a big issue) Also their scheduler seemed a little confused. But the gutters are clean and I assume the roof is good to go.

I was impressed by their quick response in scheduling a visit. They contacted me within 2 days. I was also impressed by their honesty. I asked them to inspect the roof and to give me an estimate of the life left in it. The technician did the inspection and gave an honest answer that the roof had a good 5 to 8 years of life left. They also left a detailed list of work done and what they found. I need maintenance work done on my house to make it pass HOA inspection and I will definitely be calling J & E for an estimate.

My only issue was that it took a couple of reschedules to get someone here. Once here, I was amazed at how simple he made the work look. I would definitely call on J&E again.

The contractor showed up a few hours late. He did blow out all the gutters and downspouts with a leaf blower. For the price he did a reasonably good job. He did also blow all the debris off our deck and carport. I think I would've liked if he had flushed the gutters with water. This is what I would do if I had done the job. So it was a decent cleans, just not as thorough as I would've liked if I had done the job. However, I don't have a tall enough ladder, nor do I wish to take the risk of getting so high up. So from that perspective it was worth the special price.

J & E Home Services was doing some gutter work for a neighbor of mine, and I'd had some trouble with a front gutter that was leaking behind it, and also needed a side piece of roof overhang flashing replaced, so I asked the men doing the work if they could stop at my house before they left. One did stop by and inspected the front gutter and also inspected the chimneys. He said the gutter flashing had been installed wrong and had to be re-done. He said that they'd have to take off the gutter and and old flashing to fix it, as well as the first 2 rows or so of shingles, then put new shingles on and that they'd match the new shingles to the color of the old shingles. He gave me an estimate for that work He also showed me where part of my chimney crown had broken and gave me an estimate for fixing that. He also nicely caulked the chimney in the meantime to prevent rainwater from getting in. The next day the business owner, I believed, called me to follow up on the estimate and ask if I had any questions. I hadn't planned to do the work right then, so I said I'd get back to them. So far, so good. I then researched J &E on Angie's List and decided to book them for the work. Before I booked them, it had also rained and I walked around my house to look at how all the other gutters worked and identified some other potential problems with gutters on other sides of the house. So I called J & E and let them know I wanted to book them for the work but had some other problem areas I wanted them to look at for a cost estimate and to be sure they'd bring the needed supplies on the day of the actual work, and I also asked further how they would match the shingles. They told me they had a sample book of the shingles they used and could bring it for the followup cost estimate so I could see how they matched. So we made an appointment for a follow-up cost estimate the next week, for a 9-11 am slot. I took the day off work, and planned to run some other errands in the afternoon. On the day of the appointment, I got a call at 10 am and they told me the crew's route for the day had been re-routed so they wouldn't get to me until the afternoon and asked if that was OK. I wasn't happy since I now wouldn't have time to run all my errands, but said OK, and asked if they were sure they'd be there that afternoon and they said yes. At 4:15 pm, I got a call saying they wouldn't be able to make it after all and could they reschedule. I told them then I couldn't work with a company that didn't show up for appointments. That's one of the worst things a company can do -- be a "no show" and not respect their customer's time.

It went well, but he was late to the job.

It went really well and there were no additional fees. They explained what they were going to do and the quality was pretty good. I've not had any issues since they did the cleaning. I would use them in the future.

We had a powerwash scheduled for a Saturday. The technician claimed he cleaned the house while we were away, which we could prove to management, using several pieces of evidence, was not true. K&E then claimed he just powerwashed the back, which was also easy to prove untrue. The manager then came out to look at the house and acknowledged that the word had not been done. It took too much work and evidence to convince management that the work had not been done, but to their credit, they eventually did come out and look, apologize, and said they wouldn't be using this guy again. Most of K&E's reviews are very good, so maybe this was a outlier, but I would make sure you are home when using any contractor.

The service provider was very efficient and time effective. They did additional work at minimal cost and no cost.

The whole process went very well. We originally had a date scheduled, but when the weather for that day turned out to be rain, they called to reschedule. Everything went as expected and he was kind enough to power wash our driveway and rear patio as well, which was wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. I had a very pleasant experience with them.

They did a nice job and cleaned the soffitts, the siding and exteriors of the gutters. I was not home while they did the service but I was pleased with outcome. Nothing was disturbed while I was away. There was some confusion on scheduling initially between the owner Joe and the lady who does the answering service. It was not an issue, however, and mostly because of the heavy rain we were having.

I used them one time and they were good.
