They arrived as promised and completed the work quickly. We did not have to be at home which was quite convenient for us so it was easy to schedule them. When working on the chimney flashing, they noticed that we needed some chimney work and suggested we wait on the chimney crown until they could send out a chimney expert to look at the issue. The chimney expert was a bit harder to schedule because they needed to be inside the house but that was finally scheduled for early July. They said we had major problems with the flus and needed to have both flus replaced as they were dangerous if we used both the furnace and the fireplace. We had not been using the fireplace so they gave us a quote for the work that separated out just replacing the flu for the furnace and putting in a new flu for the fireplace if we intended to use it. Because the price for both jobs was over $5000 we contacted another company to get a second opinion and price. The second company was one that our neighbors had used and were very happy with (Chimneys.com). We checked both of them out on Angie's list and they both had good reviews. We will probably go with Chimneys.com because of our neighbor's positive experience and also they are a little cheaper than J&E Home Services.

It went great - timely, professional, I was gone when they came and never knew they were there other than to the incredibly clean house and deck I came home to!

They amazed me. Nothing was too much trouble, they offered to do extra work, and the follow-through was phenomenal. You could really tell they cared about the job.

They came when expected, were courteous, and seemed knowledgeable. It's kind of hard to know how good of a job they did cleaning inside my chimney, but I assume they did well. They did provide an estimate for further work as promised. No complaints.

We originally purchased the the Angie's List power wash special $199.00, to wash our home. they did such a fantastic job on removing all our dirt and mold, we hired them to come back, and power wash our trex deck which actually needed hand washing/low pressure wash). They always quickly responded to my questions, and came out when they said they would. And we were VERY pleased.

They did a good job and finished all the jobs I wanted done without "watching the clock." The person who was scheduled to come was late and then had a flat tire. But when I said I still wanted the work done that day, they found two other workers to come, even though it was already almost 4 pm, which I appreciated.

They work quickly but cleaned both gutters and reattached a loose vertical drain to the front gutter.

The GOOD: - Angie's list $99 promotion for gutter cleaning is a good price for this service and more than competitive with the $150 rate for similar services in this area - The provider answers the phone during normal business hours and while they are not always able to connect to the techs right away, it's great to get to a human right away The BAD: - We asked for a specific time they would come out but they were unable to give us a window; we wanted to be there for the service - We informed the provider we had some separation with one of the downspouts before they came out; when we got home, the service was already performed but the separation was greater - When we called and asked if they could just snap it back, where the downspout came out of the place, they came back with a quote for a new roof for $16,000 The BOTTOM LINE: - Very disappointed with the service provided; Angie's List reviews note frequently that the gutter cleaning services snap any separated downspouts into place without extra charge; would not use this provider in the future. Do not recommend.

The office person was very patient with my scheduling needs. The workman showed up on time and was very polite. He worked hard and did a good and thorough job, even going back over a few spots that needed more work. Note that their Web site says the job cost $250, I got it from Angie's List for $200, but it was "advertised" as worth $450. I am happy, but be sure to compare prices!

The appointment was made with J&E Services as soon as I purchased the deal. They were courteous and very helpful. The appointment was kept and the workman showed up on time. He worked efficiently and effectively and cleanup after him was done.

J&E was on time and got the job done as promised.

Company was very communicative. The first date we set, had to be changed due to bad weather. We set the second date and the work was performed to my satisfaction. I plan on using this company to do some roof work.

Great. They knew what they were doing and advised that Chimney swifts were an endangered species and that we were not allowed to disturb their nesting or harm the birds in any way.

Did a great job. The gentleman that performed the work wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied before he left. He asked if I wanted to walk around the house to make sure there weren't any spots missed. Very courteous and efficient.

I purchased a $149 roof inspection/maintenance deal. Scheduling was pleasant and simple. Arrival was within provided window. A suspected minor leak in a pipe collar was identified as a small cracking and was sealed with caulk. Other pipe was caulked as well. Work was done promptly, an issue with the chimney crown was identified (with a rough estimate for repair), and the remaining life of the roof was estimated. Overall, I am happy with the value of the purchased deal.

It went really well. We asked about if we needed to replace it, and they said we had about 3-4 years before we needed to do that. We felt they were really professional andhonest, and we were really pleased with that.

Man was polite and did the job well. House looked great when he was finished.

Went fine - though they did have to reschedule once. I did this for my peace of mind...and it was worth every penny.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal on 7/21 for gutter cleaning and roof inspection. I listed my 3 preferred dates for cleaning. I wanted to get this job done this week. However, the company responded on 7/22 that they can come 2 weeks later (on 8/4). I couldn't wait that long because of the rains and my gutters clogging. Therefore, I decided to call someone local who came same day for gutter cleaning. J&E Home Services response rate was good, since they told me the next day about their scheduling. However, I just couldn't wait that long.

Had difficulty with scheduling at first but, with the third time being the charm, their roofing tech Daniel showed up and I was very impressed with his professionalism and consideration. If Daniel is representative of the quality of their trades staff I would tolerate my frustrations with their schedulers and use J&E again.

Initially when they contacted me to schedule the work, it was about 10 days out, which was fine. Then they had to reschedule for a date almost 3 weeks after the initial date, with no explanation. It wasn't like they had to cancel for rain or anything since it was so far into the future. I was not pleased but couldn't do anything about it since they already had my money. Once here, they did a good job and cleaned up well. They took a photo of an area of our gutters that they recommended we install screens on and gave us a reasonable quote for that too. It just took a long time to get the work done from the time it was scheduled.

One side of my siding had green moss. J&E Home Service power wash removed them completely. House looks clean and new now. During the process, some water splashed onto my neighbor's window. J&E Home Service also washed my neighbor's window to keep my neighbor happy.

The service was done efficiently and done with care around the house and plants. No ladder was needed, which was nice. Our house needed heavy exterior cleaning. Once the job was done, any problem areas were pointed out with preventative solutions mentioned--from algae growth and popping the siding back in. Do ask about the chemicals used. I will use this company again.

Really well. They were very knowledgeable and professional.
