J & E Home Services

J&E Home Services did an excellent job of cleaning the gutters which had about one year's accumulated leaves. One downspout had some hidden clog that was deeper than we expected, and J&E responded as quickly as possible to follow up and clear the clog. We are completely satisfied with their service and responsiveness and would happily use them in the future.

Power Wash Big Deal was purchased through Angies' List Big Deal Promotion. The J&E Home Office Service representative contacted me immediately and set up an appointment with me. Unfortunately my order was erroneously cancelled by an Angies' List clerical error. I called J&E Home service first thing Saturday morning and explained the clerical error and set up an appointment for Wednesday of the next week. The power wash went perfect for both the home and separate storage shed. I plan on using J&E for future power washing work.

They were very polite and professional on the phone when setting up appointment. They provided a good service in cleaning the gutters and the dryer vent. They were very punctual and showed up on time to perform the services.

From the beginning J&E was a great company to work with. I first received 3 quotes from other roofing companies. They ranged from $500 to $2500 and one company wanted to know if I just wanted to replace the (11 yo) roof. Not really, it was about 8 shingles missing. Then I found J&E on Angie's list and their solutions sounded reasonable and their pricing was in line with expectations. They were easy to schedule, had great follow up and everyone was friendly. Thank you! I will recommend to friends and neighbors!

Work scheduling has become too complex and drawn out. Would like to go with someone else that is easier to work with.

J & E Home Services power-washed all sides of my home. The south and east sides of my home do not receive much sunlight and there was significant mildew growth on the siding. J & E did an excellent job removing all the mildew and dirt, and the siding looks like new again! I am very pleased with the job they did.

So far, they are fine. We have only communicated via email and they responded quickly. We are scheduled for next week.

It seemed to go very well. The appt. was made without any problems at a convenient time for us. They arrived on the appointed day and did a fine job, even though we were not at home! As the saying goes "It's what you do when no one is watching that tells your character." They did the job, cleaned up after and left a note telling everything they'd done.

Everything went well. They were very tidy and they were prompt. We had a loose nail and the gentlemen got his ladder back out, and climbed to the second floor and hammered it in for us.

I was a bit disappointed by this services for a few reasons. - The primary reason, one aspect of the gutter work was to also hammer in one of the nails that is starting to slide out. On the day of the service, the technician didn't have the right height ladder and wasn't able to perform this aspect. - At the end of the service being performed, I wasn't even sure it was completed. I didn't see or hear any gutter cleaning, only the movement of the ladder. - The company did not provide a window of time when the technician would arrive. He called about 20 minutes before to say he would be arriving at 220. He did not arrive until about 245. - Because the issue with not bringing the appropriate sized ladder, the technician had to drag a ladder through my house to get to the deck to make it onto the roof. After doing this, he realized the ladder still wasn't tall enough and had to lift a ladder over the railing of my deck. I was told by the company no access to my house was necessary. - Two days after the service was "performed" I received pictures of the work (basically just pictures of my roof that just look like pictures of shingles) and then a quote for additional service the company can sell me. The quote was over $500 which is more that what I've been quoted for brand new gutters. I found that disappointing. Overall, I grade the quality of the work a C because it was not at all what I was told to anticipate and I feel as though it become and up-sell.

J&E had great communication, quickly rescheduling our gutter cleaning during after delays by rain. The work was completed professionally. Left a clean work area.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. Almost as if the company had no employees and just a bunch of inexperienced workers day to day. I could never get a hold of anyone through Angie's list messaging or when I called their #. I had my service cancelled due to rain. Then they came back out the next day without even calling ahead and confirming. I was on my way to leave and the tech said I needed to be there so I had to send him away. Finally a few weeks went by and they came out with a very loose timeframe in mind. I couldn't be at the home so I asked tech to let me know how the service went and I got no response. Unprofessional all around.

The service was excellent. The price was good and they did exactly what we expected. The house looked great after the work. They were timely and professional.

The gutters were cleaned, but continued to leak. We called the company to let them know and ask about the roof inspection. They indicated that they had emailed the roof inspection twice and we did not receive it. When we called back, they did not have any record of the roof inspection, so they scheduled a time between 12 & 3 to have someone come and look at the gutters and the roof. We called at 3 to see where they were and were told that they were planning on calling us to let us know that the appointment was rained out. If that was the case, they should have called earlier.

It was good. Scheduling service was reasonably easy. It didn’t take too long and I like that it was cheap.

I was very impressed with J and E Home Services. It is so pleasing to receive excellent service. Their representative let me know when to expect them and he was there within that window. He did exactly what I wanted and cleaned up afterward. I would definitely use this firm in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.

Not great. They may or may not have truly swept the chimney. They certainly didn't look at the chimney when they did it and it turned out the chimney is in terrible condition and we cant use it. They did gutter cleaning. Price was pretty good. I got what I paid for.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went fine. I thought they were very effective and efficient. I was watching them the whole time and everything went well.

J & E home services really did a great job as I was failing my home inspection. They were timely and did the job well. I will probably use them again as I have used them twice before.
