I have no complaints. Good communication, workers showed up on time and completed the work in a timely and thorough manner.

I purchased a Big Deal from J&E Home Services on November 25, 2014. The Big Deal was "$99 for Complete Gutter Cleaning and Roof Debris Removal." The company never actually came out to do the work. They did contact me, several times, to cancel and reschedule my appointment. On January 6th, due to the falling snow, they called to cancel and reschedule my appointment for another additional 2 weeks in the future. However, it had been 6 weeks since I purchased the Big Deal, and my roof and gutters still weren't clean. I don't blame them for the bad weather, but waiting 6 weeks for them to get to my job seems a bit excessive. Unfortunately, I cannot rate the quality of the work that J & E Home Services provides, as I was never given an opportunity to evaluate their work, due to all the rescheduling. However, I can rate them, based on my perception of how they prioritized the importance of my job. That is reflected in my review. I have also requested a refund for my Big Deal.

arrived on time, introduced them selves to me and described what they would do. placed canvas cloth on floor around the fireplace opening before starting work. one technician had problem/s with a power tool drill and asked for assistance from the other tech which took more time on site. cleaned up all of work area. received full description with pictures from exterior inspection done by other technician of roof top ridge vent and chimney top/cover. we should get a written estimate for replacement vent part today.

First, I signed up for this deal in March/April and it took until June for them to perform the work. The trouble with a Big Deal is that you pay in advance and then have no leverage over the provider. The work was scheduled at least twice and they did not show up. When I walked around the house on Memorial Day, I could see the work had not been done (same spider webs, mold, etc.) and I had to contact the company again. The owner first insisted they had been out to the house but then recanted and sent someone out. Whoever did the job (I wasn't home when they came) dripped the cleaning solution on outside slate steps so they are now stained forever. Then they sent someone out a few weeks later to "evaluate" my property for any other work they thought I might need (no obligation to purchase). Again, no one showed up the first time I was told he was coming, although I didn't necessarily have to be home for this. The second time he came, I specifically pointed out the front shutters and front door and the screened-in porch in the back. He left me an estimate for only the front shutters and front porch. I guessed he wasn't interested in doing the screened porch so I wasn't inclined to hire this company to do the "easy" job, which I can probably do myself, if they aren't interested in doing the harder job (screen porch). I think I would just as soon hire a company that paints for a living rather than a "handyman-type" service. The house did look better after being cleaned but I had to stay on them to get them out here.

Overall very happy with the service. Provider called prior to arriving and was very professional. Service was a chimney swipe performed by two individuals (one inside, one outside (on roof). Very quick and clean. They did provide some additional recommendations (with pictures for justification) and free estimates 3-5 days after work was performed.

The actual service was good, but the responsiveness was lacking. After several attempts at scheduling, we gave up and canceled the big deal we had purchased. A day after, an employee called to say they were on their way to our home to perform the service. We went ahead since all we had wanted all along was for someone to come and service our chimney and inspect our roof. Again, the service was good but the responsiveness left something to be desired.

On time, polite, did great work and made some good recommendations.

They were fine. They suggested some additional work, but their price was out of our budget.

Everything went well. They showed up on time and explained what they were doing. I also learned quite a bit about the chimney and how to maintain it. Overall, it was great. I woulduse the company again.

I was very disappointed. The initial tech allegedly came out while I was out of the house, and supposedly cleaned the gutter and did the roof inspection. After some confused follow-up, however, J&E told me that there was a problem with the photos that the tech took of the roof inspection, and so they would send a new person out to redo the inspection. Person #2 came out, but he didn't bring a ladder that could reach my roof; he also saw an issue with the gutter and said that when a new person came out with a bigger ladder, he would provide a quote. Person #3 came while I was out. But if he actually took photos, they were never sent to me. Plus, i never received a quote on the gutter repair. And when i finally used another company to do the repair, they reported that the gutters were in serious need of cleaning, and expressed skepticism that the gutters had been cleaned recently at all.

Arrived on time and got immediately to work. completed the job in one hour with powerful leaf blowers. Leaf blowers do spread debrie quite extensively. They could have cleaned up a little better but they warned us about the scattering of the leaves. Very professional and pleasant.

The technicians showed up like promised and performed efficiently. Asked me if i had any questions and were very honest with their answers. Highly recommend.

They don't service my area, so I wasn't able to use it. It should have been made more clear that they didn't service my area. At least they were polite.

The men were professional & courteous. They arrived on time. They cleaned gutters on my 3 story townhouse, checked the roof for debris, & cleaned the dryer vent of lint on the roof. I would recommend & use this company again.

Technician came out on time. Used detergent to power wash siding around the side and rear of home. Washed windows as well. Requested extra money to wash the front door step (approx 10 sq feet), which didn't sit well with me for 30 seconds of extra work. Overall, it was just an OK service... went through the motions of washing, but didn't really work to take out specific stains or deep-clean a few problem areas.

The cleaning seems to have been completed adequately. I understand that the roof inspection was also performed but I didn't receive any (electronic or physical) receipt detailing the performed work. I would prefer to have some kind of details and proof of performed services so I'm not sure right now if I would use this provider again in the future.

Signed up for their special deal for $99. Did not hear from them. Received email a month later and signed onto Angie's List. Saw email that they had sent me. I expected a call rather than an email. I called them. After speaking to them, they said it would cost $150 even though I signed up for a special deal for $99 because I had gutter screens. I asked why they didn't put this in the ad and they blamed Angie's List for this as well as for the email rather than phone call. I found them to be unprofessional with terrible customer service. I subsequently signed up for another gutter cleaning and did pay $150 but this company told me from the beginning how much it would cost and were very responsive. I'd rather deal with a company with good customer service any day than J & E Home services.

Had difficulty scheduling although good communication. Price was good. Very professional.

This is the second time we used them for gutter cleaning. Last time they got a great review, but subsequent to that, during a rainstorm, we noticed that the downspouts had not been cleaned. But, I decided to try them again. From what I can see of the gutters (and that is not much), one is clean and the other was not. I cannot speak to the rest of the gutters, because I cannot see them. I was not here at the time of cleaning, so I could not watch them work. Also, they left trash bags in the driveway, which considering my driveway is 1/4 mile long and they had to be taken down, that was not cool. I am not sure if I will use them again or not.

The service was good, but not excellent. I would just give it an average score.
