The service was fine and they did what they were supposed to. I would work with them again.

They do not service my area in Rhode Island.

This was a horrible experience. I bought the Angie's List deal for gutter cleaning in mid November. They scheduled me for mid December and did not show up. I called them and after much arguing they rescheduled me for 10 days later (they wanted to reschedule me for 3 weeks later). They didn't show up, but did call later in the day to apologize and state that their van broke down. They rescheduled, again, for about 10 days later. It rained so they did not come, but did call. They finally came about 2 weeks after that. They were here for hours because it was cold and they had trouble cleaning the gutters. They made a large mess and only cleaned up what was in the driveway, not all the other debris. They called me two weeks later and told me they did not have a ladder tall enough and apparently hadn't finished the job. I was home during the cleaning so they could have told me when they left that they had not finished. They were supposed to come later that week and finish. I have never seen them or heard from them again and I am home during the day. You could not pay me to use this company again. They were truly terrible.

Several issues with this provider and the service performed - 1. Super difficult to schedule a time. The provider cancelled on me at least 4 or 5 times. Granted a couple of times was due to weather, but the rest was due to either technician was running late on other appointment or was sick. I tried to cancel the purchase and asked for the refund but per Angies' List, it was already past the 6 weeks time limit and I can't get a refund. I think the provider may have just tried to keep scheduling and rescheduling an appointment so I won't cancel my purchase, regardless whether they have time to perform it or not 2. They did the service while no one was at home, and all I get after the service was two more quotes for couple of thousand dollars to fix my roof. I had no idea what they did. They said they would inspect the roof, clean the gutter, fixed the loose siding, etc. But there is no way to verify that they have performed the service. I guess I will just have to trust the fact that they did. All in all, not sure if this is worth it. I felt like I just flush $150 down to the drain....

Did a good job. Had a small leak from the roof and needed it fixed asap. They came out and fixed the issue and also sent me pictures of other damage that needed to be taken care off.

Scheduling was fine and there were no additional costs. The price was a great deal. I was happy with it with work they did. They did a good job overall.

They did well. They did a good job. They had a leaf blower to blow the leaves out from the gutter. They were on time, friendly and I have no complaints on what they did. I might also fix them to come and clean the gutter manually. They did what they advertised. I might use another service the next time.

It went lousy, they didn't clean the siding, they attempted to spray it, and it didn't work. He said he was going to see what else they could do, and get back with me, he never called back. I called them and spoke to the manager and he said he would look into it, and give me a call back as well, he never called back so i gave up on it.

I would not suggest using J&E Home Services. I purchased an Angie's List deal from J&E on December 3, 2014. I had to reach out to J&E in order to schedule an appointment, which was ultimately set for three weeks later on December 22, 2014. The day of service the technician went to the wrong address at the wrong time. This is after I told individuals in the front office, on two separate occasions, my current address. No work was ultimately performed on this day and my next appointment was set for three weeks later in the middle of January. The technician never showed and I did not receive a call from J&E that my appointment was cancelled. When I called to ask why they did not show, I was told the weather was too bad. My next appointment was set for another two weeks later. Again, J&E did not show and sited poor weather as the reason and stated the roof might be too dangerous for the technician to perform the work. My next appointment was scheduled for two weeks later on February 9, 2015. At this point, the technician showed up and performed the work requested. He inspected and cleaned the chimney, the process took approximately ten minutes. It took more than two months for J&E to come perform the work I hired them for. It is important to note the delay was never because I was not available or had scheduling conflicts. Each time that my appointment was rescheduled, J&E was unable to fit me in any earlier than two weeks out. I understand that other appointments were on schedule however I find it very frustrating, and hard to believe, that J&E could not find time to squeeze in a ten minute appointment sooner. The work performed appeared to be fine, but the work only lasted approximately ten minutes. The customer service was poor, scheduling was extremely poor, and dealing with the individuals in the front office was frustrating.

This was the last day I want try to use them.

He wasted my time. He sent out a crew that was unable communicate with me, and I had no idea what they even did. I asked for pictures of the work and they didnt come until almost two months later.

When I first attempted to schedule service, they were unable to get to me until several weeks out. I had to change my appointment with the service provider many times for my doctor appointments. They were willing to change my appointments; however they are not able to give me a window of time they would arrive. I was unable to hold open a whole day at a time. We finally got the service scheduled, and they did not show up. They said they would call the day before to confirm the appointment. I didn’t hear from them. I emailed them and never heard back from them.

gave a price of $500 to paint 2 small heat vent pipes on the roof that seems high? I would like it done at a lower price

Everything went really well. They arrived on time, did the work exactly as I had requested, and were very thorough from start to finish. Furthermore, it didn't take long to get an appointment which I also appreciated.

I had scheduling issues with him. They would give a day that they would come out, but they couldn't give you a time frame until the day before they were coming. This doesn't work with my schule, so I won't be using them.

It was fine. I believe scheduling was OK and there weren’t any problems.

It was a good service. They did it in a timely fashion. It's very easy to make an appointment and have them come-by and clean them. They didn't perform any other service for me. There were no additional charges than the "Big Deal" I purchased. I would recommend them just because they were prompt and professional. The Deal was a pretty good price.

It was good, it was quick, they came out very soon after we called them to clean our gutters and they were gone. We didn't pay beyond the deal amount. They said they noticed some things while they were on the roof so they took some photos and emailed them to us. So it was nice that they followed up and said that they would be happy to do the work for us. That was nice because their courtesy was unusual for us.

They were the worst. They never ever got back to us on an estimate for our roof. They had one person come out and contact me and another person come out and look at it and then again another come out and look at it and then a third person or fourth person to give me the estimate. They never gave me an estimate. They were the worst company that we've ever worked with. I would never recommend them to anybody. They were just terrible.

When they finally came, they were good. It was rescheduled about three times. It was rescheduled two times because of bad weather, and one other time because they ran into a lot of trouble with a job before mine. I worked around it but it was difficult to plan around. Having to reschedule was the main complaint.

The big deal service from J & E Home Services seemed to workout just fine. They were easy to schedule and prompt. I didn't get up there myself but they got the job done. They submitted additional proposal for additional work but I didn't follow up, I wasn't interested in it. My interactions was almost entirely over internet, over emails, they were prompt and courteous. They seemed to be doing good. As far as I can tell the work was well, it is one of those types of work where because of the nature of the work you really don't know that it was done because we have a 3 story house and they cleaned out gutters that are at the top of the roof, I don't have a 3 story ladder, there is no way for me to really know what they did, cleaned it out, I have no reason to doubt their genuinity, they said they did it. Overall I have no reason not to give them an 'A'.

Company was very responsive when I would initiate conversation, the service was performed as advertised, and they did a great job. Where they fell short was in the following ways; Scheduling The initial appointment I had was postponed due to weather, which I had no issue with; however, the second appointment I made, the tech never showed up. I first received a phone call from the tech later that evening, indicating that he got caught up w/ other jobs, and would contact me the following morning (Sunday) to confirm whether or not he could come by and do they work then. As Sunday comes to a close, I have not heard from the tech, and receive a call later, stating that I did not call him to confirm if it was possible to execute the service, when in fact, I was waiting for his call. We scheduled the service for the following day. Professionalism The tech was very courteous and respectful; however, he seemed like he may have been in a bit of a rush. He indicated that he had left a tool to do the job (his flashlight) at a previous job site, and wondered if he could borrow mine. Not a big issue, I had no problem lending it to him. As the work came to a close, I had noticed that the tech tracked mud all over the carpet on the stairs leading to the chimney. He had laid down tarps around the chimney, but never put on any type of booties or anything on his feet while in transit through the house. He did acknowledge that he tracked mud in the carpet (without me prompting him about it, which I gladly would have if he didn't acknowledge) and was willing to clean it, albeit using my personal carpet cleaner. Just seems to me that the quick fix for this would be to use fresh booties over the work boots when entering the home. All in all, I was pleased with the service and the Angie's List deal price was right. I would use them again if another deal were to present itself, but would consider other options when looking to pay full price for a service.

I got the same service as a national chain for half the price.

I requested in my initial consultation to have the gutter guards removed and offered to pay the increased cost, but they never did it. Everything was relatively clean, but still some dirt in the bottoms that I thought would have been washed out had the guards been properly removed.

Contacted J&E based on recommendations on Angie's List, set up appointment for gutter cleaning and was told that a snaking of the downspouts was included with the gutter cleaning. Provider arrived when they were supposed to and I was not present at the time of service. Finally had some time this past weekend (4 days after service) and went up to inspect the gutters. Gutters were relatively clean, however some debris still remained and the downspouts were not cleaned. Visual inspection of 3 of 4 downspouts reveal that they are all filled with leaves and that the leaves are more compacted than they were before J&E. I have called and left 2 voicemails for the company which they did not respond to. I finally was able to reach them Monday (12/29) and they said all the right things (i.e. it should have been completed) and that they could fit me in to their schedule on (1/2). I asked for a Saturday appointment because I wanted to be present when their tech stopped by and was told that should work but they had to check with the owner and would get back to me and did not receive a response. When I called the following morning to see if I was on the schedule or not, I was told the office manager was busy and I would be called back. Finally received a call back and was placed on the list for (1/3). I inquired as to whether they'd come as rain was predicted and was told yes they work in the rain as long as its not too dangerous. Saturday comes, its raining, and I wait at home for the call. About 2:30 I get a call saying the techs were called in because of weather and I will be called back to reschedule. This was done on Monday 1/5 and I was set up for 1/16. Downspouts were finally cleaned on that day.
