Initial work and estimate worked well, since then, I have not had success in scheduling them to do the work. They are unresponsive as of now.

Getting everything scheduled was a rocky start. We were frustrated that it took nearly six weeks from the date of purchase for them to get a crew out. The first time they had someone scheduled the called shortly before they were supposed to arrive because their staff quit. Rather inconvenient given that we'd had to take off work. We were probably just annoyed by that point, but it seemed to take forever to get an estimate for suggested repairs (after they did finally visit). To us, that just wasn't a good sign. It indicated that they weren't really interested in any business they could get from us. By the time we did get their pictures and suggestions we were done. It wasn't that they did a bad job and weren't friendly. We just never felt like they really wanted our business.

This was excellent work. I had previously given them an F early in the year for multiple re-schedulings and never having shown up for appointments to do some masonry repairs. Several months later they called and advised that they had found fraud with schedulers, a receptionist and workers who were booking and charging for work not done. They fired all of that staff and the owner offered a free gutter cleaning. They sounded sincere and I took the offer. The crew was outstanding in every way and this spring I'll give them a second shot on re-pointing some mortar on my chimney bricks.

They kept giving me dates and did not make it. We did not use them. They kept skipping dates on me. They kept setting up appointments, but never showed. I called and they said something happened. I wondered why no one called me.

Great, very happy, will use them again next year.

My main complaint about J & S Services is they would schedule a date to do my work but would not give me any idea of what time of day they would arrive to do the work. As a result, I had to stay home the entire day when I really needed to be at work. Then they would call me mid afternoon or later and say they couldn't come that day. They did this at least 7 times. As a result, I got really anoyed with them. One day, they waited until 3:30 pm to cancel. This does not count the days they cancelled due to weather late in the day after I waited for them to come. My take from this is it seems they only want to do large jobs as they kept delaying my smaller job. They wasted a lot of my time and towards the end, didn't even call to cancel. Instead, they e-mailed me without even telling me they would contact me by e-mail instead of by phone. J&S Services may be OK for larger jobs, but I would definitely not recommend J&S services for smaller jobs.

We purchased the deal from Angie's list but rarely heard from this company. Every time we tried to contact them, we got no response...nothing to voice messages or email. We finally had to cancel the order and go with another company. Shame that these guys were so poor on communications.

They did okay. I had no problems with them. This was the first time I used them.

They don't show up! I just keep getting emails about how something has come up and they'll be there the next week. I'm done! Stear clear of this company. They claim to have fired all the crews that were no-shows, but I haven't seen anyone come out to my house either. Also, they put you off for a week each time, not the next day or something else reasonable. This is a joke!

I started email correspondence to schedule fall gutter cleaning on 10/21/2015. After multiple emails just to set up the initial date my appointment date was changed 3 times, from November to December then back to November by J&E. In spite of confirmation on Wednesday they no-showed the appointment on Saturday, 11/28 and did not respond to emails until Monday, when I was told the soonest they could come out was January. I was never able to reach a person by telephone but left voicemail. Last year's service went well and I was ready to be a repeat customer but am taking my business elsewhere.

Numerous emails to provider AND to Angie's List led to no action. I have requested a refund of my money from Angie's and do so again now. P.Evans

Excellent service...as advertized.

We had a very unusual winter and I had to cancel several times. It was great price. They came around once when it was frozen and they came back again. They did a very good job. They couldn't quite finish it because there was water that was in there and so they came back the second time.

I did not like that service. They called to schedule the appointment and I said whether I needed to be there or not I want to be there and it was scheduled for a Friday which I took a day off to be there and they never showed up. They never showed up and then I called to question where were they and they said, they got fairly busy. Days and days went by and finally I called them again and then I said, hey we need to reschedule this and they said, oh they have already been there and they have already done it. Part of the service is they were supposed to provide pictures of before and after to prove that they did actually clean them out. I never received a thing and I called back to leave a message saying, hey where are all the pictures you were going to send me and where is the information or date you actually did come and I received nothing from them. There were no signs that anybody had come out.

J&E did not let me know until after sunset on the day they were supposed to show up that they would not be coming to perform the work they had scheduled for that day. I had been trying to schedule gutter cleaning services for more than two weeks. After they failed to show up, the next best date they could give me was more than a week later. Based on other reviews here, along with 1- and 2-star reviews on Yelp and Google, I had little confidence that they would not reschedule yet again and decided to use another company. Gutter cleaning is fairly simple and not something you should have to wait a month to schedule, especially when the work is prepaid.

The job was performed professionally and at reasonable expense.

The provider and I were unable to schedule this work - hence the coupon was not used.

We could see where the gutters were tilting away from the roof, water not even making it to them on drain. Not easy to fix by yourself when they are 25ft up and you have a 16 ft ladder. They fixed the high ones, and the low ones, at a fair price. Well done.

Had water dripping into my garage roof and had a history of birds pounding on the roof. J&E did a thorough inspection of the roof and found the area that was the problem. They fixed it quickly and has not been an issue for over a year now. The flashing , patch, and wires they put in are effective without being noticeable from the ground. I was very pleased with their service, was a fair price for the work they did and time they spent, and would highly recommend them to a neighbor or friend.

Fine - all work done as expected

He showed up early and performed the job as required. He was professional, and capable of over coming all obstetricals. He was able to explain to me the requirements of the job and how he was to go about doing it. Fully satisfied with all aspects of the experience in dealing with the repair.
