Description of Work: The provider promptly sent me an email saying that it did not serve the area I live in. (I had purchased a Big Deal.) It would be very helpful if Angie's List would indicate what service area a provider serves so people don't purchase Big Deals only to be disappointed later. This is an Angie's List problem, *not* the provider's.

Description of Work: They came and gave me ridiculous quote after setting initial visit almost 3 weeks from purchase.

Description of Work: J&E, who I found out are very near where I live, took over two months to just provide an estimate. After three successive cancellations J&E finally did a pre-inspection, which took all of 5 minutes. They consistently want to preform the pre-inspection at their connivence and told me that I did not have to be here, however, I want to be here, which is my right. The cost estimate ($1100-$300 + $99 = $899) was extremely excessive as if they increased the cost to compensate for the $99 for $300 Angie's List offer. Only labor was involved as I had all the brick material already purchased. I would not use them again and not recommend them to anyone. NOTE: These results are common with other on-line evaluation services. I will be requesting my money ($99) to be returned. VR/ PLW

Description of Work: The job was done well and professionally. They were honest in telling me that the roof was in good shape and did not need attention. Service was postponed due to lack of enough personnel but was done well once they came.

Description of Work: Bought $100 for $300 masonry, emailed three potential small jobs, estimate returned was for $4,000. Tasks were correcting one 42" crooked window sill, mortaring one course of of bricks approx 36", and bricking in a doorway, brickwork only. Never managed to talk to mason in spite of numerous tries. He left voice mail but return phone was to office staff, would not provide direct phone to mason. Too hard, too expensive.

Description of Work: They were not even able to set up an appointment for at least a month from when I contacted them. Then they could not tell me when the work could be performed. They were of no use to me. I got a refund.

Description of Work: I am very happy with the J&E's services; especially, with the quality of service I received from one of their contractors, Ronnie. He is very polite, was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. I am using their services for other work needed. Oh, and their prices are unbeatable and very reasonable. I'm so glad I bought the Angie's list deal from this company.

Description of Work: We hired J&E to clean our gutters. They had to postpone on the originally agreed upon date due to bad weather, but we rescheduled without problem. They did the job while we were out and mailed us an invoice. Everything went very smoothly.
