Description of Work: This company came out and said that I needed a complete new system to the tune of around $7,000.00. The second opinion I received was from Snell Air Conditioning - who replaced the capacitor and refilled the freon. Two months later, my AC is still pushing cold air without further issues. The technician was courteous and arrived on time, however, I think he tried to sell me an unnecessary system.

Description of Work: They performed a diagnostic test and annual winter maintenance on my three HVAC units. Our technician diagnosed our problem as a missing sensor control on our heat pump and quoted me a repair price that included a new sensor, wiring and labor to run from my thermostat to the outdoor compressor. It was only after I |questioned why the unit had operated for five years without a sensor that he looked further into it and discovered that the installer had substituted a separate outdoor sensor control and that it had failed. He removed the faulty control and spliced the appropriate thermostat wires and completed the repair. When I questioned why I was being charged the same amount for splicing the wires as running new wiring he said he still needed to run some additional wiring outside to the sensor. The technician also asked to borrow some of my tools and use some of my cable ties to complete his repairs. He said his tools that he needed were "buried" in the back of his van. | |He was a nice guy and explained every thing he was doing. I was disappointed though in how much I had to get involved in the repair and lend him my tools. I would hesitate to have him do future maintenance if I couldn't be there to supervise.

Description of Work: My gas furnace failed several times during 2014. Another provider came in in and replaced circuit boards twice and thermostat once. Still the furnace failed. IAQ came in, asked questions, and went beyond just replacing the failing parts to figure out why they were failing. IAQ actually DIAGNOSED the root problem causing the failures and fixed that. Not inexpensive but I will use them again confident that they know what they're doing and I won't be paying multiple times for an incomplete fix.

There was a problem with a part but they came back first thing the next day. I am very impressed with this company and have used them again since for my A/C unit.
