Indoor Air Quality Medics

I have used IAQ Medics about 4-5 times because I purchased their HVAC 12 month service agreement twice. Initially I was very happy with them, to the extent I wrote a positive review. However, in the course of acquiring estimates to replace my aging HVAC I learned I had mold growing in the padding around my HVAC unit. I was shocked IAQ Medics never found it/mentioned it. They were coming every six months and had just been there six weeks prior. When I called them they told me they were not mold specialists. Appalled, I told them I didn't expect them to definitively tell me it was mold, however the whole purpose of the regular maintenance they were performing was to let me know about possible concerns. I was left feeling like I was paying for them to merely replace my air filters. Furthermore, when I gave them an opportunity to make things right by providing a fair bid to replace the HVAC, they were not even the most competitive. Although all I can do is write a review, I would strongly recommend using another company.

Superb observation of flue duct problem & professional advice on how to remedy..

A few years ago, I became a customer of Indoor Air Quality Medics on the advice of my son, and they have always provided excellent service. Last week, my heat pump system stopped running in the middle of the night, causing me to wake up because of the cold. I spoke with IAQ Medics early the next morning and they arranged for a technician to come that afternoon. I asked for someone experienced, because my system is over a decade old. Jonathan Tinker called me ahead of his arrival, and arrived promptly at the beginning of the scheduled service window. He quickly figured out that the problem was a failed circuit breaker on the indoor air handler. He saved me money on the repair by rewiring around it, after explaining to me that these circuit breakers are only there as a convenience for repairmen, and are not a safety feature. I really appreciated Jonathan's expertise and his ability to quickly solve the problem at a minimum cost. He was also great at communicating with me and easy to work with. I highly recommend Jonathan and IAQ Medics.

I have used IAQ for over 5 years for 3 different houses. The work has involved everything from regular maintenance of our HVAC systems - one of them being a Geothermal unit, to full on installation of in wall, room by room cooling heating units for a whole house. Every interaction with them has been positive, from the dispatchers to the technicians. Courteous, efficient, competent, straightforward, responsive, with shared priorities - like, not only a well functioning HVAC unit, but like their name says, they care about your family's Indoor Air Quality. I recommend them highly.

We have used IAQ Medics since their beginning, following Dario from his previous position. The company is top notch, they installed an entire dual zone HVAC system in 2012 and have maintained it ever since. The service people are always prompt, reliable and professional. Price includes spring and fall maintenance for the year for a dual zone HVAC system including all filter replacements (humidifier and heater).

They completed the task in 20 minutes for two systems.

Had a great service of my furnace and air conditioning system today done by technician Rex Willis (friendly, professional, personable and clearly well skilled) by IAQ Medics. Started using this company a couple of years ago when another company (with whom I had a service contract) claimed that I had a leak in my compressor and tried to sell me an entire new system. I asked IAQ for a second opinion, they found no leak in the compressor but a small leak in one of the coils inside the house, they fixed it for a very reasonable price. These are now my go-to guys for all my heating and air conditioning issues.

These guys were wonderful and fixed what another poor company wouldn't admit to doing wrong! We bought our house from buyers who had a new unit installed, but that company never connected the air intake from the outside. They made excuses that it was clogged, but the reality was they were using a tube too small and the air couldn't flow. These guys sent out one of their best guys who figured this out quickly and was able to connect it properly without hiccups. They did this after already sending out their air duct cleaning crew who patiently rescheduled so I could have it connected before the cleaning. Despite not knowing right away whether it could be cleaned with or without the air intake connected, they were gracious enough to send their crew out to see about it, and reschedule when they realized it indeed needed to be connect it first. No extra charge for me. This is simplifying the story a bit, since I got more bad advice from yet another company prior to all of this. Indoor Air Quality Medics had no trouble figuring out what could be done and fixed it easily and without complications. I'm very happy with their service! $380 to connect the air intake properly and $325 for the duct cleaning service. It turns out I didn't need the duct cleaning per previous bad advice, but I'm happy to have paid them for it anyway. They deserve it. Now I have made sure there are no clogs, it's installed properly, an it is now running at full efficiency. Perfection and peace of mind. Thanks guys!

We have them for 7-8 years, they are very professional, clean, explain what they are doing, they are competitive, much better for service contracts and did a very thorough job.

I have used this company for years to service all of my properties. Jonathan is so knowledgable and willing to share his knowledge. He is always happy to answer questions or give helpful suggestions on ways to keep your AC/heat running great! I trust him and that is saying a lot. I currently have a very reasonably priced contract to have all of my properties serviced by Indoor Air Quality Medics. The contract for one year is $99 which is a great price for such a good and trusted company.

Excellent. Though our tech, Brandon was a little late due to prior job that had unforeseen work that had to be done. That was why I rated a B. But the company did call and notify us that he would be outside the appt window. We always have excellent service with this company. From the scheduling of the appt, which they call YOU to schedule your fall and spring service! I don't have to worry or remember myself. Brandon is excellent. Knows are home and system so when he leaves the dampers are all adjusted perfect to keep the house warm or cool depending on the season.

This was our second time using indoor air quality medics and both times the technicians were pleasant and provided. The technician text you with a picture of himself and message that he’s on the way. And this time we also purchased a performance plan. Overall from making the appointment to the in home services this company is very professional and we will definitely would recommend them to our friends.

Troy came midway during the expected two hour time block and performed the service on both zones in my American Standard gas heating systems in a timely manner. He was polite, professional, and neat. I was very pleased with the result and look forward to a continuing support relationship with Indoor Air Quality Medics. I have worked with this company for over three years, and they have always provided excellent service. The cost of the service included the Spring service of my air conditioning systems and replacement of all filters and humidifier pads per the recommended service schedule.

Rex, the technician, was efficient and professional. However, the representative, Drew, over the phone lacks follow through skills. We had to follow up with IAQ to see if the technician was still arriving. We were told our window of arrival time was 12-3, when in fact we received 3 separate communications stating our window was from 12-2. We were very disspointed at being lied to.

He checked the system and replaced the filter ( I supplied). He told me everything looked good.

Tony did an outstanding job doing the 6-month checkup and replacing the furnace air filter. IAQMedics is a quality company that cares about their customers.

Everything went smoothly and work was well done. Price is for an annual service plan. Twice a year for the HVAC and once a year for the water heater.

Smoother than I would have thought possible. The workmen were professional, thorough and considerate. At the end of the installation (on time~!!!), Lead man Cameron took the time to complete check the systems operation and to thoroughly explain to us the system's operation. Installation included the full cleaning of all duct work (Dryer too~!). An unexpected pleasure was the fact that the cost was about 30-to-35 pct. lower than some other estimates for the same job.
