The technician arrived within the provided timeframe and was very professional and accommodating. He looked at my dishwasher and found the problem within seconds of running the machine- the burner was resting against the back of the dishwasher and caused a hole in the dishwasher. He provided a couple of solutions that I thought made sense. He even cleaned under my dishwasher. He also performed an inspection of my washer and dryer, for which I am very grateful as I was concerned about their performance and he did not charge me extra! Overall, I was very happy with Mr. Mahmood's services and will recommend him to my neighbors and call upon him again should I need such services in the future. Thank you, Mr. Mahmood!!!

Asif worked relentlessly to find the root cause of our refrigerator freezer from maintaining constant temperature. During his first visit, Asif determined that the refrigerator needed an electronic board that isn't commonly available. While the part was on order, he told us how to use common portable fans to minimize the problem. During his second visit within a couple of days, he installed the new board, which appeared to correct the problem. However over the next few days, though the compressor was now working correctly, temperatures still varied widely over the 24 hour day. He kept in touch with us to personally monitor the status while he vacationed out of state over a long weekend. On his return, he rechecked the wiring connections, seals, coils, and everything else that could cause the problem. He patiently and carefully removed an ice buildup on the coils that apparently built up over ten years, which resolved the problem for good. This was not easy, since just getting to the coils involved taking apart and removing all of the component parts of the freezer compartment. Had Asif not been so persistent, we probably would have purchased a whole new refrigerator freezer. Yet after three visits and his personal monitoring while on vacation, Asif charged us only for the initial two hour site visit included in the Angies List special coupon price plus the cost of the initial electronic board. Without hesitation, we will recommend Asif - the Appliance Geek - to our family and friends needing forensic appliance repairs. Asif presented himself as an honest professional who likes problem solving and has his customers needs first and foremost.

Honestly, the technician was very nice, but I guess what I thought was wrong with my appliances really weren't. It seemed like he had easy answers for all of my concerns which I guess is a good thing. I thought that I would need to replace one, but he seemed to think that it was fine still. He also tried to help balance my washer and explained another issue I was having with it (and this explanation made perfect sense to me). Just felt a little sad after spending $99 to find out everything was good to go.

They did a very good job. Arrived on time, accomplished the repair in 30 minutes. Very professional and a great price. I would bring them back.

Asif of Appliance Geek was very professional, courteous and patient with me during the entire process of scheduling and the actual repair. I had to reschedule my appointment on a couple occasions due to constant changes in my schedule and he was extremely diligent and flexible with me through it all. He also accommodated my request of having the repair done in the early evening (after 5 pm) without any hesitation. On the day of my appointment, Asif called 30 minutes prior to his arrival as a courtesy and he arrived well within the window of the time frame he scheduled me for. Although my husband was home when the repair took place (and I was not), he noted Asif's professionalism, friendliness and most importantly, his expertise. Asif immediately diagnosed the issue that caused our ice maker to fail and he repaired it in less than the hour in which we purchased an Angie's Big Deal for. He did advise us that if our ice maker would not make ice throughout the night that he would return with the replacement part and he would charge us only for the cost of the part (not his labor). We would use Appliance Geek again for any future needs with any of our major appliances, as not only is this company experienced, but their prices are reasonable and is very friendly. Water had stopped flowing into the refrigerator ice maker tray. The technician, Asif, arrived during the appointed service window, quickly diagnosed the problem as being with the ice maker instead of the water valve, and promptly replaced the ice maker. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very cordial. The work was completed within 30 minutes.

The technician was great, professional, friendly, informative and very efficient. He came in, listened to the issues and went right to work. Work was completed within an hour. The work being done was to repair an actuating system on our range top for the the escalating range vent. We appreciated how quickly he was able to come out and that he cleaned up after himself which is not always the case with service providers.

The service was excellent, The technician arrived when he said he would, took a look at the appliances in two kitchens and my laundry room, identified a leak in two dishwashers (fortunately we don't use them much) and identified a problem I was having with my refrigerator. I chose to have them fix the refrigerator and one dishwasher, which they did quickly and efficiently. Partly based on his recommendation I chose to replace the other dishwasher as it was too old to bother replacing the part. I am now having an issue with my microwave and will have them come and take a look to see if it can be fixed before I buy another one. Very happy with the service.

They were wonderful and honest. My fridge is a piece of crap that came with the house that we bought in December. It's only 5 years old, but apparently has a leak in the freon sealing system. He said that he COULD fill the freon for about $300, but that's really not going to solve the problem. That the freon could be gone again in a week, or I could be good for another couple of yeras. He said that I'd be better off getting a new fridge. so instead of charging me an arm and a leg for something that would only work for a very brief period of time (earning his company money), he directed me to purchase a new appliance (which earns his company nothing but the service charge). Because of his honesty, I will absolutely use them again in the future. So glad I didn't try to put a bandaid on a gaping wound!

We bought an Angie's List deal for Appliance Geeks because they were so highly rated. There was a leak into two condos below us last winter, and we wanted to investigate our appliances - specifically our clothes washer - to ensure none of them were at fault. Appliance Geeks sent a very kind and professional man out to inspect our appliances. We ran the washer and he did what looked like a thorough inspection of the machine. He stated he did not see any problems except for the cold water dispenser, which was running slow, so he replaced a critical part at an additional cost. Last month, we got a knock on our door at 11:30pm from another neighbor saying the leak was happening again. Water was coming from our washer down the back wall (where we couldn't easily see it) and down to two units below us. It ruined light fixtures, drywall, paint, flooring, etc. It was a mess. The whole purpose of calling Appliance Geeks out to our place was to ensure this wasn't happening. I want a refund.

Very professional and prompt. Instead of waiting for them to contact me from the Angie's list purchase I called them directly and they came out the same day. Took the time to look over all the parts and was able to determine the compressor was failing. Advised me the price to fix it and based on the age of the fridge told me it was more economical to replace the fridge than waste money on a pricey part and repair. Very pleased with the service overall and would use them again.

He was prompt and donned a pair of shoe covers before he came into the house, which always wins me over right away since we don't wear shoes in the house (and so few repair people ever do this). He was very kind and professional, and I felt 100% comfortable having him in the house with me and my toddler. After he saw that the dishwasher was fairly new-looking, he asked to see the manual that came with the dishwasher so he could see if it was still under warranty. I knew it was not, but appreciated his consideration of a money-saving option. He thoroughly explained what he thought was causing the leaking, and said he'd order the necessary parts. He charged me only for the visit, and provided me a detailed estimate of what it would cost for the parts and labor when he returned. He said that if he was wrong about the cause of the leak, he would not charge me anything beyond the reasonable fee I'd already paid for that day's initial service visit. Unfortunately, after he received and installed the parts, the dishwasher was still leaking. He apologized, and said that since his fix hadn't worked, he thought the leak must be due to warping on the side of the dishwasher. Since it was a minor leak that was not going to damage the kitchen floor and was more of a nuisance than anything, he recommended that to save money I just keep it as is and put down a piece of paper towel while running it. As promised, there were no additional charges. I would definitely use this honest, local business again. I have their magnet on the fridge for the next time one of our appliances rebels.

All in all, very good service. Technician called to let me know he was on route and close to my home. All appliances were fine and nice to have peace of mind. He gave some advice on a slow water flow from internal water in my refrigerator. I thought I needed to replace my filter head. He told me how to do it with the part I had already purchased, but suggested I try a new filter first. I did buy my third water filter and still no luck - slow water. So a few days after he left, I installed a new filter head and connections to my plumbing using some of the tip he had told me. Water now works fine. The extra advice made this deal valuable. My only drawback was I order this deal (Angie's Big Deal) and was guaranteed a call back from Appliance Geek within 48 hours using my suggested times. I waited 4 days before I contacted customer service. In turn they had Appliance Geek contact me. But they just nearly said to call them. Not what the deal mentioned and wasted almost week, but once I got a hold of them, it was super easy to get a date and time that worked.

Appliance Geek was VERY responsive from the get-go, which I appreciated. We had an appointment setup ASAP, and they came out and diagnosed the problem. He was punctual and gave me a heads up about 30-min prior to arrival. Following diagnosis, he told me the replacement part I needed and ordered it. It took a few days to get in, but once it did, he called me and we scheduled a time for him to come and complete the repair. Again, he was punctual and professional, replacing the part quickly. I would DEFINITELY use them again!

Asif arrived on time even though he had to go from McLean to Woodbridge at rush hour. He evaluated the washer basket movement and explained what he was seeing. He drew a diagram of the inner and outer washer casings and showed where the problem was. He advised against repairs since they were substantial. His recommendation was to talk to sears to see if the rear bearing was under the long term motor warranty. It is refreshing to use a Maintenence service that charges fair prices, tells you the truth and provides recommendations on the best approach to resolve the problem.

I called Appliance Geek to diagnose the problem with the washing machine. He was very good. He explained what other people have done there. Someone had bypassed the switch and I didn't know about it. It's not an issue unless washing machine is in spin cycle. He also told me there was a part sitting by the washing machine that was not installed. He told me the person who reportedly fixed the machine sold me the part and labor but never installed. He was helpful in areas where most people are not. I highly recommend them.

When I called, Mr. Mahmoud asked if Monday would be ok, and I said I was hoping he could come sooner than that. He said he would check his schedule and call back. He did, and somehow he found time for a service call for us the next day. He was very professional - I felt like I could trust him right away. He took off the front of the washer, drained out the remaining water and found the problem was caused by a sock which had floated to the top and into the drain. I recommend him highly, and would not hesitate to call him again if (when) we have a problem with any of our large appliances. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

Totally professional. He was an easy person to talk to, explained what he was doing, and I could see how time consuming the work was. He made sure everything was working perfectly and explained what to do and not to do when running the dishwasher. It works great, and everything comes out clean.

I have an LG Washing Machine that wouldn't turn on even though it is only 3 years old. I called to request a diagnosis and was told he could come out in just 2 days. I was given 4 - 7 as a time slot. The day of, i was running behind from work, called and said i would be close to 5:30, which he responded "no problem, i'll just wait if i'm early." Where do you find service this good? he arrived, promptly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, and i only paid $79. top to bottom, front to back, this was service at its best.
