I was told up front how much it would cost and that is what I paid. I was surprised that he was able to come the same day and finish the job.

They were great! The called me shortly after I put in a request for quotes. Over the phone, they explained what the possible problems were and how much each repair would cost. They got the model number and had parts ready for the appointment later that day. They fixed it the same day. Very kind and courteous, explained what they were doing and patiently answered questions. And now our fridge works again!

I submitted the quote through angie's list. Then Asif called me to set up the appointment. He didn't mention there is service dispatch fee and neither did their angie's list website says so. After he came and diagnosed the issue. He charged me a $119 fee. I was surprised by this fee because I was completely unaware of this fee before. This is simply a bad customer experience. He said no one could come out for free, but I had multiple contractors came to give a free estimate. One of them is a plumber, Sami's Plumbing llc. Bottom line, be transparent about the fee for your service.

Bought a new dishwasher from home depot and had a terrible experience with their installation contractor, Pro Home Improvement. They tried to come 2 hours earlier than the scheduled time range (I missed that call and missed that opportunity), and they ended up really coming later than the scheduled time range. Once there, they acted like they were looking for a reason to back out of the appointment. The existing dishwasher was hard-wired (electric) and they said they can't do a hard-wire installation (and acted like hard-wiring is very unusual), but for an extra $120 they can install a power outlet (really? you can't hard-wire a dishwasher but you can install and wire up a new power outlet?). They also said the dishwasher was too far from the sink because the standard 6 foot hoses didn't reach (and acted like it was such an unusual set up). They wouldn't hook up to the existing copper extension water line, but of course they would sell a 12 foot braided line for $75! I already paid over $100 for their installation and they were trying to get another $200 out of me. I cancelled with them and got a refund from home depot. Appliance Geek did my installation it went great. Everything was as expected and as we discussed on the phone prior. He hard-wired the new dishwasher and said that's how most dishwashers are installed anyway. He checked out the existing water line and drain hose and confirmed they would be fine to re-use. He needed to use an adapter to connect the hoses and charged me less than $10 for it (i forget the exact amount). I'll never pay for appliance installation from the store again, and just call Appliance Geek instead.

Asif from Appliance Geek responded very promptly to my Angie's List request (unlike two other A+ rated vendors, I must add). He was willing to schedule at short notice and showed up on the date and time scheduled. He was friendly and very helpful in explaining what would need to be done. Repair went without a glitch and no mess was left when finished. Charge was reasonable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to hire again if needed.

Came within the window, with a call in advance of when they were on their way. Very efficient, knowledgeable of the potential issue. Did a diagnostic test to identify the exact problem, had the part on the truck and were able to complete the repair in a very timely manner. Cleaned up the area after finished with repair. Very professional and courteous. Job was completed within the price estimate given in advance. I would highly recommend Appliance Geeks!

Asif was able to come out the day we called. He was very familiar with the problem (many repair people won't even work on Bosch), and identified it right away as a short in the electrical box in the machine, which he explained was not uncommon. He re-wired it quickly and also answered our questions about how to keep the "gunk" from accumulating under the removable trap at the bottom of the basin of the machine. He was prompt, friendly, extremely professional, very reasonable in cost and gave concise, clear explanations of the problem and what he was going to do to fix it. I would recommend him VERY highly.

Best experience I've EVER had with an appliance repairman!!! I noticed that the dishes on the top rack weren't getting clean, so I came to Angie's List to find recommendations. After reading the great reviews for Appliance Geek, I called at around 11 AM on October 7, and I was told that the technician could be there at noon. After looking at our 11 year old dishwasher, he told me that the motor would need to be replaced, among other things, and asked if I'd heard whistling sounds (I had, but had no idea that anything was wrong). He said the he could repair it, but recommended that I put the nearly $500 in repair costs towards a new dishwasher instead. That tells me that he's honest - I've found that not many repairmen will recommend taking a $59 service call over a $500 repair. I thanked him and he left. I went out that evening to buy a new dishwasher at Home Depot, and was going to have them haul the old dishwasher away ($25) and install the new one ($159). But then the sales clerk start asking me what kind of pipes/hoses I had, was it hardwired, etc. She was very clear that if there was a certain type of hose, they would not install it once they arrived, and I would need to call someone else. On top of that, I would have to pull the old dishwasher out myself and have it sitting out for them when they arrived with the new one. I quickly called Appliance Geek, and he told me to let him know when it was delivered, to leave the old one in place (we can haul it to the county dump ourselves), and he would pull the old one out and install the new one for $145. He was incredible - on time for both appointments, friendly, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. I'll never have an appliance installed by anyone else again!

Very well. Our repairman was prompt, he clearly explained what needed to be done — a cleaning of the coils, and his charges were reasonable and fair. I highly recommend and I will definitely use him again.

The owner of the company is the person who fixed my refrigerator and dishwasher. He was professional and explained what was wrong with my refrigerator and dishwasher in layman's terms as well as my options. Plus, he was very quick with fixing both items. After reviewing the cost of the refrigerator motherboard being replaced on other sites, he may have been around $100 more expensive than others but he was the only company out of 3 or 4 who could come the same day. So, considering I had a lot of food in my neighbor's fridge I was ok with paying the difference.

When contacted him to describe same problem he fixed 7 months prior, he did not answer except to check the dryer vent, which I had already described that we had cleaned after his last visit, as he recommended.

I read and looked up the error code for my washing machine that suddenly quit. It supposedly was an issue with the soap dispenser but everything I did according to the book and online didn’t work. I called appliance geek late on a Friday night. We’re a family of six so no washing machine is a bad thing! The gentleman returned my call that evening and came out the next day. He was very professional, moved my dryer out of the way which wasn’t easy and figured out it was the motor assembly in pretty short order. He had fixed it an hour and put everything back together. Put the dryer back in place as well. Very reasonable cost for such fantastic service! I highly recommend. I kept his number. A good appliance repair person is worth it’s weight in gold!

We needed our dishwasher at work fixed as the previous company we reached out to was a no-show. I contacted Appliance Geek and he scheduled an appointment for the next day. He called me 10 minutes before he was going to arrive, which was very helpful. He gave us an estimate on the repair, ordered the part and fixed our appliance. I highly recommend.

It went really well. The technician who came examined dishwasher and ran the dishwasher and waited; he saw no leak, but suggested reasons why it might have leaked. (All of which made sense). Dishwasher has been fine. Person who came was very polite and professional. We would definitely call Appliance Geeks again.

I understand why Appliance Geek receives so many "A" ratings. He was prompt to respond to my phone calls, arrived within the time window, repaired my washing machine and fixed an issued created by another "repair" company within 30 minutes. Received a discount on the cost as the job was minor (compared to other company who said it would take all day). He was friendly and pleasant. Would use again and recommend to others.
