I had the initial quote done 18 months ago. I contacted them to ask them for an update in the last few months. We exchanged emails, and they said they would honor the quote they gave me 18 months ago. They were fine over the phone and email. I didn't choose them because their price was significantly higher than the price of the company I went with. They were very responsive.

I submitted an online request to Pyramid Roofing for an estimate to repair or replace my roof because I had discovered a hole in the roof after a recent snowfall. The owner called me the same day (on New Year's Day) to schedule the appointment. The estimator arrived on schedule for the appointment. He did an excellent job evaluating the existing roof construction and making a recommendation to improve the roof, not just replace what was already there. The estimator recommended removing the existing vent fan and installing a ridge vent on the new roof. The estimate I received was clear and comprehensive. All known costs were detailed and potential costs that wouldn't be known until the shingles were removed were discussed with me prior to the installation (rotted plywood, rotted fascia board, or sistering joists that weren't level). The installation crew arrived as scheduled, prepped my yard to minimize damage to my landscaping and cleaned up after themselves each day. The job took longer than originally anticipated because the shingles came off in little pieces and I had 2 layers to remove. The crew was professional and pleasant throughout the entire process. I experienced 2 unforeseen situations during the work that were resolved completely; 1 - some shingles were left in my attic from where the roof had a small cave-in and the crew came back out to clean them up, and 2) the drain for my HVAC system broke off where I suspect it must have gotten hit by falling shingles during the removal process. Pyramid sent someone out to repair the drain and they ended up replacing the entire pipe - it looks better now than it did before they came. I can not express how impressed I was with the demeanor and professionalism of all the team members I encountered on my roof replacement. I would enthusiastically recommend Pyramid Roofing.

Nathan was very professional and helpful from start-to-finish. We received a detailed analysis of the costs and payback over time, and he explained the income that is available from selling green energy credits in addition to the 30% tax break and the potential to sell power back to the grid. In this area we won't be selling a ton of power back, and yet we will still recover our investment in 7 or 8 years. Pyramid took care of all the details. We were apparently the first grid-tied solar residence in our county, and this did result in some delays - as the county decided how much paperwork to require and how to do a proper electrical inspection. Pyramid brought in a company from North Carolina to help with the installation and train their crew, since this is a relatively new business for them. I listened-in on some of the training, and I would feel confident using Pyramid Roofing in the future based on what I heard. Dominion Virginia Power took a couple of weeks to install a new electric meter that will properly credit us for those times when we do produce more power than we consume. The system they use gives you a website you can access that gives you graphs and stats about your power generation. This type PV solar installation can be easily expanded. If we decide to do this in the future we will be sure to use Pyramid Roofing.

Pyramid was highly recommended and we now know why. Their representative came to give us an estimate the day after they were contacted and was very professional and helpful in answering all our questions as well as giving us a comprehensive and understandable explanation of their products and services. They guarantee their workmanship for five (5) years. The roof was replaced and the insulation was added to the attic all in one day ... this was just 12 days after signing our contract with Pyramid. From the estimate through the work completed, all the people from Pyramid Roofing that we came in contact with were very professional, respectful, and courteous. We are very pleased with their products and work and would not hesitate to recommend Pyramid Roofing to anyone ... they did a great job!

They were very quick to come out and do an inspection of the roof and discuss our options. Gave us a quote that was valid for 2 weeks. My wife and I discussed the quote, and within a week, sent them a check for half the amount (3/1/2010). We were told that our work would be done within 2 weeks. After a month, my wife called and was told they would be out the middle of "next week". Had some bad weather, but hadn't heard from them, so my wife called again. This time she was told that because we were just having a repair, it was not certain when they would be getting to us. Had to call several times before they sent someone to do the work. He had brought the wrong vent, so told my wife he would come back the next day (which he did) and replace the vent. Good work once it was done, but if you're just having repairs done, expect to wait a LONG time.

Everyone was very professional from the people in the office to the inspector to the roofer. I got three price quotes and their price quote was the mid-range. I decided to go with them because they were more responsive than the other two companies. They did a great job the first time with no muss or fuss, and answered my questions. It came with a 1-year warranty on leaking as well.

Pyramid Roofing has completed two repair jobs for me, but I'll definitely call them when I'm in need of a new roof. They have been outstanding to deal with -- very punctual, good pricing, and great people.

Pyramid Roofing does not hold themselves or their subcontractors accountable for damage to condo owners property. The subcontractor blocked the only accesses our community has and had no blinking lights, orange cones and other warning signs that he was parked in the middle of the road and at an angle. Therefore, when I backed up I checked prior, because of the angle, I had a cylinder dent put into the back of my new Honda. It took some time before the owner of the F on jacked up wheels, came around. All he did was pick at rocks in his tires and then handed me the number to Pyramid Roofing. When I informed this company of the series of events and damage done to my car, they stated that they are not responsible for what the subcontractors do. After dealing with both companies and each denying responsibility, I felt it was necessary to inform the public. The estimated repairs to my car is $1,800 and I have to take of the matter. Condo Associations and Apartment complexes beware.

Overall, it went very well. It took us a while to decide on what we wanted, but Mike was very patient and willing to bid the job a number of ways with different materials until we got the look we wanted within our budget. This process took us almost 5 months, but we were never pressured by the company to make a quick decision. The shingles we wanted had to be special ordered and the company called a few days before work was to begin. Materials arrived and the crew showed up on the date we were told they would. The first crew to show up did not like the pitch of our roof (too steep), but we were kept informed and another crew was here the next day. Once they started, the crew worked hard to get the job done. Despite a few surprise showers, we had no leaks while they did their work. Afterwards, they did a great job cleaning up. The new roof looks great.

The Pyramid representative was a bit slow getting back to us after my first call to the company (1 week), but after that things moved along nicely. The salesperson was very professional and had good follow up without being pushy. Their bid on the work was competitive with other proposals I received. Originally I was calling for roof repairs since we had a leak over the front door. Pyramid was the only company out of about 6 that I called that would come out for repairs. All the others wanted to come out only for a complete re-roofing job. We eventually decided to get the whole roof replace rather than a repair. The decision was our with no pressure from Pyramid. The work was performed on time, on the agreed upon date. Supervisors were on hand throughout the day to insure the work was completed as planned. The job was completed on time with no problems, and clean up afterwards was immaculate. I would definitely recommend Pyramid Roofing to others.

Pyramid Roofing was very ethical with us about the condition of our roof. Even though we had a whole roof estimate prepared, they said we really didn't need a total roof replacement at this time. A lot of companies out there wouldn't be that honest and would have done a job we didn't need.

I received the name Pyramid Roofing from Angie's List. They were given a good rating for new roofs. Evidently, they don't want to just repair a roof. The roofer I hired cost me $250 to fix the valley and stop the leak.

We had a number of different companies do repairs to the roof and never got the results we needed. It was nice to find this company who was upfront with us and told us the best option was to just replace it totally and of course the reason why. The process of putting the new on after tearing down the old was as fast as they said it would be. As far as the new roof goes, it didn't leak and it just looked terrific. We made all the decisions as far as the type of roof and gutters and really liked how they made us a part of the process.

Pyramid had a crew of seven do this work and they finished it all in about 10 hours! They did a fantastic job, the roof was very good quality and they cleaned up well after themselves. We are very pleased with our new roof.

They did a great job, but they were very expensive. After I signed the contract, it took them six weeks to get out here. There was just one guy that did the repair. He knew what he was doing and he cleaned up any mess. The sales representative was very professional. The company is very well known and has been in business along time. The company did good but I dont think I would hire them again.

Our roof was repaired with new shingles and we had a leak in the roof repaired also. All the old shingles were taken off and the old ones were hauled away. It only took one day to complete the roof, but the leak on the flat side took a little longer to repair. The overall job was done very well. The price seemed reasonable.
