From the initial phone contact right up until everything was moved in to the new house, everyone was very professional, polite, puncutual and just plain nice. We are extremely please with this experience with Mover Dudes. Would highly recommend them to anyone having to move.

Description of Work: They moved a piano from one daughter's home near Atlanta, GA to my other daughter's home in Winchester, VA on a space available basis. As expected, it took a little while for such a move to become available. But they did a fine job of setting up the move and performing it. They had good communication with both parties involved and the piano was well protected for the trip. I definitely would recommend Mover Dudes.

Description of Work: Moved furnishings from storage into home. I was on a tight schedule and they got everything put where it needed to be in less time than I allowed myself. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Faced with a move from Virginia to Florida with a house closing, complicated by family plans for a cruise to Alaska, I complicated Mover Dudes scheduling significantly. Another provider opted not to bid the job because of the distance and scheduling issues (to their credit). Mover Dudes went out of their way to accommodate my needs and did an outstanding job at the costing, loading and delivery ends. With the exception of John Schneider, the driver of the truck, crews were different at both ends. John was exceptional and workers were professional both in Virginia and Florida (the few exceptions seemed more apparent to co-workers then to the customer.) While moving remains way down on my 'favorite things to do,' Mover Dudes made it bearable or better.

Description of Work: Although I am grading Movr Dudes an "A", there were in fact a few glitches (which I will detail below) that would probably bring the score down to an "A-". | |Pros: |. Our first contact with the company was Lucas Davdenport, who made a highly professional presentation on the merits of Mover Dudes. His presentation was so effective that,after hearing presentations from several other moving companies, we selected Mover Dudes even though they were not the lowest bidder. | |. On packing day, the team leader, Robert, politely introduced himself and every member of his crew before starting an overall scope of the items which would need packing. The crew arived puntually and Robert handed out specific assigments so that the crew could work efficiently and effectively without getting in each other's way. It was obvious that these gentlemen were used to working as a team. | |. Even though the nature of packing the truck was difficult - a piano, several very heavy items of furniture, 52 cartons of books and CDs weighing almost two tons which had to be carried down as much as two flights of stairs, the process was done with great speed. | |. Honesty - Even though the total number of cartons (and cost) far exceeded the estimate, the company did not charge us one dollar more than the original estimate. | |Cons: | |Although the crew explained to us that they were unable to transport certain items of value (which was understandable), instead of isolating them so that we could transport them ourselves, items from my wife's bureau and mine were dumped in one pile on the bed, leaving us to sort out the mess. (Incidentally, very few of the items actually had any monetary value.) | |. Cartons which had been carefully labled "family room", "John's study". etc. mysteriously would up in parts of the house where we not only had to search for them, but would up carrying the heavy boxes to the right places ourselvs. Furthermore, objects that didn't belong in the labled boxes were sometimes added to the boxes at random because they fit. | |. Statues that were carefully wrapped and packed, wound uo being delivered upside down. Fortunately none of the art work was damaged. | | |The number of incidents involved in the "cons" above was small and proved to be a distraction from our overall satisfation with Mover Dudes. I feel that the incidents were momentary lapses by otherwise very careful and thoughtful people. Overall both the crews and management of Mover Dudes were a delight to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or to use them in the future. | |John Zimet | |

Description of Work: They called and said they were able to arrive early and I was happy about that. The move went quickly and the guys were great - friendly and handled my furniture perfectly. No complaints at all and I will definitely use them again.
