About us

Mover Dudes was started in 2006 by Jon Eye, the company's current President. Eye had been working for a self-storage company helping people move in and out of homes. After hearing about all of the difficulties and stresses people were consistently experiencing when moving, Eye decided that he wanted to help them. He envisioned a company that kept their word to the customer, was honest about costs, and relieved the common stresses of moving. Mover Dudes is now the reality of his vision. The company started small, but with a small ad in the telephone book, the company grew. Eye and his hard-working crew began moving local residents out of the area, and before they knew it, the name “Mover Dudes” was catching on. Long distance moves soon expanded into commercial moves after 1 year in business. Mover Dudes continued to grow, even while fighting, like everyone else, through the tough economy. Our facilities and service areas have continued to expand so that we can offer more service to our customers. Our satellite location opened in Leesburg, Virginia in 2011, and a 2nd one in Charlotteville, Virginia in 2013. We also now have a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Winchester, which opened in 2013. We are currently focusing on growing in new areas so that we can expand our company's professionalism and quality to more customers. Mover Dudes has moved thousands of people. We move doctors, attorneys, professional athletes, businesses, churches, families, friends, and everyone in between. Description of Work: I had a wonderful experience with my move. Everything went according to plan and the guys worked hard to get it done within the time frame that I had bought. I had to put everything in storage and when I find my next place I am going to get them to move me in. They were very friendly and polite and I could not have had a better group of guys!!

Description of Work: This was an unusual job and Mover Dudes were fantastic and thoroughly professional. I contracted with them to pick up 5 enormous, museum-scaled antique oil paintings from a storage facility about a 90 minute drive from my home and deliver them to my home. They also removed and disposed of two large, heavy television sets. The 'Dudes' were timely, immensely careful and polite and all scheduling and contractual work was done easily and professionally. I will use this company again with no hesitation and recommend them highly.
