Description of Work: Moved furniture from my home in Charles Town, WV to a storage unit in Williamsburg, VA. They were prompt, professional and respectful. No furniture was damaged and I had several fragile items. I needed to have a couple of items left at another location and they did it without hesitation.

Description of Work: Three nice movers that came on time. Unfortunately, a large wall mirror was broken as it was not placed in a glass container, which I was charged for. I found that all of my glass ware, and my mattress, was not placed in containers that I was charged for. I am still waiting for a response on my broken wall mirror, and the charges for shipping containers that were not provided. While the movers were polite and timely, the communications and responsiveness of the Mover-Dudes management is lacking and silent. Meanwhile they still charged my credit card for the moving expenses.

Description of Work: They informed me if I packed my books or televisions they would not be covered by insurance the only items that wee not destroyed during the move are the few items I packed they moved my televisions without any packing on them at all they were left by the packers on our garage floor for the movers to slide on the truck they are in horrible shape and my first edition books that they packed are worse.

Description of Work: I've honestly been avoiding writing this review. | |Did my stuff get from point A to point B, yes. Was it a professional or pleasant experience? No, it was not and I would not use them again nor would I recommend them. | |Basically, I felt like they were trying to scam me the whole time and didn't want to honor the Angie's price advertised and paid. | |The deal was 5 guys, 26 ft truck for 3 hours and 1 hour travel time for $550. | |Before I bought the deal I called the company to 1) check date availability, 2) check service area and 3) ensure that the 5 guys would move my stuff in the 3 hours allotted. | |The date worked, the service area was "no problem" and we did an itemized quote of all my furniture and boxes so the system could calculate the man hours needed. The result was that 5 guys should be able to do the move in 1.5 hours (this calc didn't consider the fact that they were moving stuff from a STORAGE UNIT that was already stacked/packed ie) not coming from a 3 story house). | |Anyway, I purchase the deal and then called back to book my move when "Deon" (the guy who did my quote) tells me there's an additional $200 transportation fee. This comes out of nowhere. It is not listed in the fine details of Angie's list deal (there is mention of potential mileage charge but I assume this is the standard .50/mile from point A to B of your move and NOT paying them $200 to drive to my service area with their truck) and was not mentioned by him on the phone when check "service area" nor was it included in the itemized quote. | |I end up talking to the COO, Josh, who says that the Angie's list deal "wasn't worded right" and that there have been "other miscommunications"?? | |I told him that I felt like this was a scam and that there was no way anyone could purchase this deal and get out only paying $550 if there was an automatic $200 charge thereby making this false advertising. | |Josh tells me he won't charge me the $200 fee and will send his TOP CREW and include WHITE GLOVE SERVICE free of charge and how they appreciate Angie's List business (honestly just felt like he didn't want a bad review on here). He assures me everything will go well and there's no scam here.. | |A few days before the move I decided to rent my own truck and have it at the storage facility the day of the move JUST IN CASE (because I had no intention of paying $250/hour for any extra time) and figured if it wasn't needed that I'd return it down the road and I'm only out 30 bucks. | |So it's the day of the move and they arrive on time (8 am) to the storage facility and they are SLOW. They brought 2 guys that had NEVER MOVED ANYBODY BEFORE IN THEIR LIFE. They didn't know how to stack boxes or maneuver a cart or how to lift anything?! | |They are going SO SLOW that I tell my husband that WE needed to start packing up one of the storage units ourselves (we had two). | |My husband, myself and 1 friend loaded all the stuff from 1 storage unit into our moving truck in the same amount of time that 5 professional men loaded their truck. | |I tried to talk to the team and I told him that 3 professional movers (Bestway) had loaded up everything in 3 hours. He said "no way" and basically gave me attitude. The rest of the movers basically talked crap about us for their remaining time at the storage facility. | |I then called Josh (the COO) when we left the storage units en route to the house and told him that he didn't send his A team, they were slow, unprofessional and again, I suspected they were taking their sweet time to run the clock. There was no way that a chick and two dudes (what I'm calling my husband, myself and my friend's new moving company lol) should be able to outpace a professional team of 5. His 5 guys only loaded HALF the stuff their system said they should be able to move in DOUBLE the time. | |He told me that they wouldn't charge me for the overage (1.5 hours) and that they would keep the price at $550. | |When they got to the house they hustled a bit more and seemed a bit cheerier.. | |They did hit walls, they damaged the back of my leather sofa and banged up our dressers. Again, didn't realize this until after they left and just considered this the price of doing business with them. | |My stuff was moved but it was a pretty terrible experience. | |I know Josh was really trying to make things okay but I decided after a few harassing emails from Angie's list to complete my review that people ought to know this isn't a good company to work with. | |My experience with Bestway Relocation (another Angie's list purchase) was amazing and I'll be giving them a raving review. | |P.S. - I just want to add that Bestway told us that we were one of the best examples they've seen of people being prepped for a move. Everything was boxed, labeled, stacked and we made it easy for them.

Description of Work: You can't get a better moving company than MOVER DUDES!!!! I would have given feedback sooner but there have been health issues as well as new home issues. The best part of the move was the fabulous experience I had with MOVER DUDES!!!! This was a long distance move. It was difficult because I have a small business and lots of 'stuff' that had to be packed into boxes. I had way more boxes than furniture! That is why it was a bit more expensive for me. We are down sizing and all of this was extremely stressful for me. MOVER DUDES were great at helping me to not stress over all that had to be done. They were very thorough. Everything MOVER DUDES packed and handled came through the move beautifully!!! Every person I dealt with from MOVER DUDES have been courteous, helpful and professional. They worked closely with me to make sure everything I needed or wanted was preformed correctly. I felt that each person that worked for MOVER DUDES cared about myself, my husband and our move. I have had other movers in the past and there were problems. I read all the reviews about the different movers on Angie's List. That is how I found MOVER DUDES. After contacting this company and talking with Adam...well, he was AWESOME and I felt I was in great hands!!! I was!!! The gentleman that was in charge of getting me all packed up, driving to my destination and delivering my goods was Joe. What a GREAT employee MOVER DUDES has!!! He was so helpful, courteous and professional!!! Honestly, I could go on and on....I'm SO IMPRESSED WITH MOVER DUDES!!!!! WHAT A FABULOUS COMPANY!!!! I couldn't have been in better hands!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

Description of Work: I highly recommend Mover Dudes to anyone moving. We moved from VA to NY and from the estimate to the schedulers to the movers I could not have been more satisfied with the service. I have never been satisfied with a moving company in the past and Mover Dudes exceeded all my expetations. If you want a customer service focused company that actually cares about your experience use Mover Dudes. If I move again they will be my first and only call.

Description of Work: I used Mover Dudes Inc for moving. They had to move us to a town house and moved all the rest of the things that would not fit, into storage. So they had to make two trips.
