It all went like clockwork and, within an hour, it was all packed away on their truck. They charge for a four-hour minimum.

One of the best things about Mover Dudes is their quick response throughout the transaction: from the initial phone call to obtain a quote to a follow-up question after the move. The moving team of 3 guys were on time, professional, and respectful. All of the furniture was wrapped very well, and they were careful as I saw them load stuff in the truck. Another thing I appreciated was how they had a good attitude when I asked them to place something in a different part of the new house. I called two other movers before I chose Mover Dudes. They were a little pricier than the others, but I am a firm believer you get what you pay for. My only complaint is a power cord was lost to one of my TVs. Luckily, it was a universal cord so I bought a new one, and they reimbursed me for the cost. I was not upset about it. Mistakes happen, and it was pretty minor & easily fixed.

We hired Mover Dudes upon the recommendation of a friend and upon seeing good reviews on Angie's List. Unfortunately our experience wasn't great. We only needed moving services - rather than packing services. In getting an estimate and scheduling the move, the representative I communicated with over phone and email was very helpful and thorough. The day before the move I was contacted with a move window of 8 - 10am. I was pleased with the time frame and we woke up early to ensure we'd be ready to go for the movers. Our problems came on the day of the day of the move. At 9:50 am (ten minutes before the expiration of the quoted window), the movers called and said they were about an hour and a half away. In reality, it took them until almost noon to arrive at our apartment. Though they were two hours late, the 2 movers who arrived worked very hard upon arrival and took good care of our belongings being very thorough to pack them carefully. However, while trying to move a futon, they put a sizable gash into the drywall near our stairs. While the movers were up front about pointing out the damage to us, about 15 minutes later they asked me to sign a sheet certifying there had been no damage. I was somewhat frustrated by this request and insisted on marking the damage on their sheet. As a matter of practice, they also re-reviewed what we had to move and we received a true bill based on this listing. I would expect we would be charged for what was actually moved rather than an estimate, so I was not surprised by this practice. I was, however, surprised by the subjectivity in classifying items. Specifically, I had marked on the estimate several "two man boxes" that were considered "totes" because they were plastic bins with clothing. "Totes" wasn't even an option on their estimate sheet. So I note that I found the estimate process a little unclear. (This did not, however, impact our overall price as the total due amounted to less than $10 more than the estimate). In all, it took both men about 4 hours to load the truck and we headed to our new house. Upon arrival, the unloading went smoothly. At the end of the process, they asked us to sign a sheet saying there was no damage at our new location. As there was, at that time, no damage, we signed the sheet. Not 5 minutes later, as they departed, they drove through part of our lawn making deep muddy grooves in the yard. I contacted the same representative who had assisted me in our initial move scheduling, the next day, to let her know what had happened with regard to the damaged wall and tire grooves. My email was accompanied by photos of the damage. I also sent her pictures of an oil spot on our driveway - noting for her I wasn't certain if it was pre-existing or from her truck but that if it was pre-existing, the truck should be checked because the spot was substantial. She told me someone from management would follow-up. After not hearing back, I sent a follow-up email with an additional photo. I was assured the person handling claims was on vacation and would return on Friday and I would receive a response. Since that time, a full week has passed without any contact from Mover Dudes. I wanted to be patient to see how they would handle this problem before leaving a review because I would be more inclined to be favorable had they taken some action after my concerns. However, my concerns about the damage to our walls and yard have been ignored. At this juncture though, I feel it's fair to report to potential customers that no action has been taken on my concern/claim. I'm thoroughly disappointed and this alone would prevent me from hiring Mover Dudes in the future as I question how they would handle the situation if there was a bigger problem. Pros - they took good care of our personal property and worked very hard all day Cons - very late with very little notice, damage to our wall and yard, no response to complaints (with photos) regarding damage

It was horrible, and tremendously added to my family's stress in what was already a stressful situation. We had agreed on a date to move. When I was unable to reach the representative with whom I arranged the move despite numerous phone and email messages, I called the office and was told the move was not scheduled on the original date, but two days later. This, of course, set back the time in which we could begin preparing the extensive work needed to put our old home on the market. Then, when they finally showed up for our move from McLean to Charlottesville, the men took one look at all that needed to be moved (notwithstanding the fact that their representative had been to the house to look at all that had to go) and said there was no way the two of them could do it. Nevertheless, the same two men showed up the next day (now we had lost three days) with a smaller truck not big enough to accommodate everything that had to be moved. This meant that a lot of stuff that had to go to Charlottesville got left behind and we had to pay another mover $800 to move it. The two men worked very hard, but didn't finish unloading in Charlottesville until 10:00 PM. My day had started at 0600, and I had to be up the next day at 0500 to return to McLean to supervise the move to Alexandria. I have moved plenty of times, and this one was the worst, thanks to Mover Dudes. We would never use them again, and advise anyone else needing a mover not to use this bunch.

Great until he dropped the ball and went on vacation when I said I was ready to hire them and give a deposit. The unprofessional man decided it was easier to never call me back instead of admitting his failure that in telling me my move dates were available.

Bad Experience. I didn't use them because they never gave me a price. The sales person came out and said "oh yeah, I'll give you a price", and she never gave me a price. I called her back a couple of times and she never called me back. I would rate them pretty low.

Moverdudes were terrific. They handled the entire move with professionalism and skill and were courteous at all times. One junior worker was a little out to lunch and put a bed together wrong but the others all went out of their way to make our move as stress free as possible on both ends. Can't say enough about their attitude and willingness to work with us. They showed up on time on both ends. Nothing was broken or lost and we felt very comfortable trusting them with the entire contents of our home. When, on the delivery end, a piece of furniture didn't work out in one room, they cheerfully moved to another part of the house and said they only wanted us to be happy! We were totally satisfied.

This was the second time I used Mover Dudes for a move and they were wonderful. I recommend them to any friend who is moving.

The moves went well. They were delayed moving us out of storage by several hours due to truck problems, but did get us moved and on the Sunday before 4th of July.

John and Terry was professional, polite, and worked their tails off to get the job done for us all in one day. Really appreciate their hard work.

Overall did a good job - there was some miscommunication about the move date but that was figured out. They did break a few things and lost some things but they did not seem too concerned.

Both gentlemen were very personable, friendly and efficient. Quickly packed out a II-bedroom apartment & took extra care in handling.

Using Mover Dudes for our move from Martinsburg to Berkeley Springs was one of the best decisions we could have made. Starting with Kory who came and did our estimate and coordinated the scheduling. He was very professional and responded to our questions and schedule changes promptly. The actual moving crew, I have to say, John, you and your crew were outstanding. Not only were the four of you very professional, fast and ensured the safety of all our belongings, your crew was fun to have around. You truely impressed us, especially with the difficult hot tub move. I will absolutely recommend Mover Dudes to anyone. Thanks for making the actual moving part of selling and buying a house a lot less stressful.

We had a relatively small move from Keswick to Alexandria to be followed up by a bigger move in six weeks. From the beginning I was impressed by their responsiveness and professionalism. One of the things I particularly liked was that they were able to give me a detailed estimate just by my filling out an online form listing what we were moving. The moving consultant was very responsive and knowledgeable. When the two men showed up to pack and load, they were very knowledgeable, intelligent and courteous. They thoroughly protected our goods, and quickly got them on the truck. Moving is a pain under the best of circumstances, but these dudes took the pain out of it. They did such a good job, I intend to hire them for the big move coming up.

That worked out well. My daughter moved from an apartment to another apartment. They sent out three people, they were able to move several pieces. They did break one piece, but then they went out and got stuff to repair it. It a couple hours to do the job.

It was my worst move ever. Movers were rude and careless. I hired mover dudes previously (01/2015) and had an exceptional experience which is why I chose to hire them a year later for another location move. Both times the price was 2-3k however the 2016 move was the worst ever and it was my 8th in 10 years. I move often as I am employed by the fed gov.

It went very well. Every communication I had with Kory was great; he was very professional, helpful, and timely. He always got back to me quickly. The quote that I received from him was fast, detailed, and ACCURATE! The day of the move went pretty smoothly. They gave us a 1-2 hour window of expected arrival time, called about 30 minutes prior to showing up, and got to work right away. There was a bit of a delay between when they were expected to arrive to deliver the boxes than when they did show up, but that could very easily have just been traffic between the two cities and wasn't very long at all. The gentlemen we had delivering and unloading the boxes were very helpful, asking us how we wanted the boxes arranged and where they were to go. They kept up with that system accurately and were very quick about setting everything up. The one hiccup I will share is that we were hoping to be invoiced for the services, and weren't. Our system doesn't really allow too easily for same day payments. But Kory did tell me this ahead of time and we also rushed up the date, so it may have been different if we had been able to wait a little bit longer on our booking date. Overall, I thought this company was very professional and everyone I interacted with did their utmost to be helpful and cordial. I never felt like they weren't trying to do their best. I will absolutely use them again in the future if we have the need, and would recommend them to others.
