We have used their services before, and like before, they were fabulous and we were very pleased. They were able to get us an appointment very quickly; they were very efficient, timely and very professional. We will absolutely use them again in the future! The workers left my house very clean as if they were not there!

Beware of this contractor. Top Dog Handyman Services. Contractor skillfully uses bait and switch tactics, advertising service at a particular number of hours versus a flat fee for a particular job. Once the work starts it becomes obvious that the hours will not be sufficient to complete the task requiring more $k. Contractor uses workers that MAY be undocumented. Contractor advertised 40 hours of work was expected to be done over a standard week, however, contractor arrived with a team of 5 and left the job undone after one day! This guy takes the money up front and then refuses to give a quote to finish the task. Stay Away 5guys did not finish ONE room completely

It seems like he runs a scam. I should?ve known something was wrong when he asked me to make out the check to his name and not the company. He also asked for the money up front and cashed the check before the work was even started. I contracted him to do some painting work and I kept telling him what areas I wanted him to concentrate on, but his guys seemed to be moving so slow that they did everything except for the areas that I wanted done. I hired them for 40 man hours (five guys for 8 hours), but I didn?t know that at the time I was also paying them for set-up and cleaning. He stopped his guys 30 mins to an hour before the 8 hours was up to clean up so I ended up losing five man hours of work. I went ahead and hired him for a second day, for an additional fee, hoping that everything would be finished up. Throughout the day the works continually got very quiet and every time that I went upstairs to check on them, they would scramble and say ?they need to get to work?. By the end of this second day, they still have not completed my kitchen and breakfast area, which is where I really wanted the work done. When I tried to talk to him about this, I asked him to keep the guys working to finish everything, but he said he couldn?t do that because they can?t be expected to do the cleanup on their own time. I was very unhappy with the customer service that they provided, they were always late and his guys spoke very little English.

I had a Big Deal for Clover Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning for our 4 point toilet tune up. they did inspecting and adjusting steel bowls, bowl seat cleaning, replacing toilet flapper, and adjusting tank level operation. Then, Rod informed me that he also remodels bathrooms. He set me up with a design team, (that was no cost) and it turned out magnificent!

They were fabulous and we were very pleased. They were able to get us an appointment very quickly; they were very efficient, timely and very professional. We will absolutely use them again in the future. Everything was explained up front, no hidden costs. Rods crews were very professional!

They took about 4 weeks to come out but that was mutually understandable. I paid extra but not much. They had clear communication, timeliness, willingness to go above and beyond the minimal to get it done and they did a great job.

Rod called and had a quick opening the next day, so we jumped on it. He showed up with a crew of 6 and did a quick site survey to see what we wanted done. He directed us previously to buy supplies (1x contractor pack of painter tape, 1 x contractors pack of caulk, whatever paint we would use, 1 x box of painters' plastic, bag of #20 joint compound). We had 8.5 rolls of tape and 11.5 tubes of caulk left over. He walked through the house and guided us to what we could expect to get accomplished in the 6.6 hour day. If you use the pre-paid services like we did, just be up front with him about whether you're OK for overflow work the next day. We weren't (had blew the budget on the Big Deal and supplies), so he shaped our expectations for what we could expect to get done. (For example, he suggested we have them do the baseboard trim from the outset, and skip the extra room-- it worked like a champ). Very professional work done from beginning to end. If you go the pre-paid Big Deal route, just be up-front with what you want done, and what would be nice to get around to and Rod will help guide the plan. (If you just want everything full-up, he'll build a "to-finish" plan for the next day).

I contacted the provider, got voicemail, and left my contact information and a description of the project. On the voicemail, the provider stated that they return all calls within 48 hours. After waiting 72 hours (and counting), there has been no call back or follow up. I would not use any service that cannot even call its potential customers back.

Provider was punctual and pleasant enough. The problem with the toilet was a defective flapper which he could not fix. However, he did sell me an $85 inlet valve which did not address my problem. The problem with the leaky faucet was a defective cartridge which he did not have a replacement for. He did replace one of the external valves, which was not the problem. He did manage to flood my bathroom, which required several towels to mop up.

Beware of the bait and switch. This vendor will make sure that your work doesn't get done for the amount of the coupon, so you are forced to hire them at full price and get gouged big time. They brought in a big group of painters who took their sweet time to do the work and seemed to have no idea of what the expectations were for timeliness. It was almost as though they had been told to go as slow as they could so they could come back at full price. I only wanted some paint touch-up done and was told it would save time and money of they just repainted everything. Well it didn't. What could have been done in one day ended up taking two days and 150% more than the coupon. Also there was a lot of confusion amongst the non English speakers who were literally dropped off at the house. I was continually asked for more paint, only to find out that there were many cans of paint already purchased but every painter was walking around with their own paint can instead of pouring into smaller containers they could each use. Wasted at LEAST $200 just as a result of overbuying. When I talked to the owner about this he admitted that they "lose money" on the coupon so they need to get additional work from the customer at full price to break even. Being slow and disorganized isn't the way to get extra work.

I had used Rod in the past for other duties, paint, drywall. We needed out bathroom remodeled with a slim budget. I told him "this is what I can spend". Well, we got more than we asked for, and money left over. He used a design team that help eliminate items we thought we should have. We were able to get more out of our bathroom space. Incredible!!!!!!!!!

The initial call visit was very thorough and professional. everything explained. They showed up on time as promised to do the work, and the crew was very neat and polite. They seemed very organized! I was able to get all of the work I needed done plus more. I have a bathroom to remodel and they will get my business! After the work was done, the job site was clean and dust free! Great experience!

It took a couple of weeks to get a call returned and I even contacted Angie's List to find out what the usual wait time is to schedule one of the "big deals." I figured he was really backed up. This may be understandable. Finally, when he came, he did a very good job on the repair, but then had to charge an additional $179 for a part. I feel that I didn't really get a "big deal" since the deal was $99 for one of seven services and fixing a leaking faucet was one of those services. Then, I have to pay an additional $179 for a part. So, essentially, I am paying a pretty high price to fix a leaky faucet, or so it seems to me. Then he mentioned (when he was all done) that if I wanted to increase my water pressure I could call him to come back for an additional fee. But why wouldn't he have done that when the faucet was off in the first place? Then, he lost my check. So I had to cancel the first one and write another. However, I am sure he is a very good plumber, it's just that he seemed somewhat disorganized (probably because of the "big deal" increase in work) and possibly over priced. But, perhaps Angie's List should take some responsibility here, too. When you select someone to be a "big deal" provider, Angie's List should ask whether the provider can actually handle the increased work load and whether they are honestly assessing their ability to complete the projects at the "big deal" price, which is always a discounted price. Also, I want to point out a further thing: I have received SO MANY calls from Angie's List trying to get me to submit this review, that it is becoming annoying. I stopped answering my phone when I thought it was Angie's List.

I took advantage of the 16 man hours for $799.00. they crew finished before the hours so I asked them to paint and repair some other items. The showed up on time, very professional. Top Dogs creww and trucks were clean, very friendly, clean cut, and provided a very safe feeling envirnment. Rod explained everything thoughly to the T! They leftmy home cleaner than it was before they came. I will use them again for a new kithchen remodel.

Excellent team! I really do like these guys. I saw one of the the work fans going down the street with the top dog logo on it. when I caught up with them at a stop light, I asked him for a Business card. After a few days I called the office and spoke with Rod, he went over several specials with me and introduce the 40 man hours of painting for $999. This ended up to be a really great deal. Although I knew my job was going to take more than 40 man hours this special got me a big start on a big job. I had moved back in the country after renting my house for five years, what a total mess the renters left it in. Rod and his team came in and took care of business. They fixed the huge holes in the drywall took down wallpaper prep the walls. The renters had been smokers, there was suet all over the surface of the walls that needed to be Clean and primed over before painting. I even had them do the re-grouting in my tile in both showers and some electrical work. Their prices were fair and very competitive after calling around and getting other hourly quotes. The team was very professional and extremely clean. I will have these guys back to do my next project once the wife and I get settled in. We are planning to do a kitchen remodel and With their parent company Heiston kitchen and bath. Thank you

Replaced the inside toilet parts and tightened the bowl. The big deal seemed like a good price; however Top Dog charged approximately 300% for the parts vs. the same parts at home depot, and charged me a "fuel" charge. The big deal was not such a good deal after all.

I asked them to paint a couple of rooms and do a patch with the 40 man hours that I had. They sent 5 guys for 1 day to equal the coupon. I received a call at 2:00 from them asking for more paint. They had a painted 1 room and went on to paint a couple of additional rooms when the patching didn’t work. They also got most of the entrance painted. In the end, the owner ended up pulling the crew off the job as he said that they needed to be done by 4:30. The crew was attempting to finish up but the owner insisted that they leave. They didn’t clean up the areas. They gathered their items but didn’t take up the plastic that they had used to cover the area. They also didn’t replace the outlet covers. I spoke with the owner when he picked up the crew and let him know that I wasn’t happy that they weren’t going to clean up the area. The owner still just pulled the crew. I told him that I was going to inform Angie’s List of what happened and he threatened with a lawsuit. The workers worked hard and did a fairly good job but the ending of the experience was terrible.

They were extremely professional and proficient. I would use their services again. Thanks.

The manager came with the workers to ensure requirements were clearly understood. The workers were fantastic! They worked very hard all day and did a wonderful job on walls and ceilings alike. I would definitely hire Top Dog for any of their services.

Max was a courteous and helpful plumber. When the toilet started leaking again, he came back immediately and replaced the inside unit. At first it was hard to get a date for the initial services since they were booked most days but once we did, everything worked like clockwork. I would highly recommend Top Dog for the plumbing services they performed and will use them in the future for their many other services. Do try to consolidate all the "handyman" items since a full day is the best value. I would have done that but I needed the plumbing done asap and was not ready yet for the other services. They were very accommodating.

They installed a new garbage disposal and faucet in my kitchen sink. It all went fine.

The plumber assess the job we requested. He let me know what kind of valve was needed. I had purchased some valves but they were not the correct one's but he had one in the truck. Considering that I had just purchased valves I did feel that the charge for the valve he charged for was too high for my liking. Back to the plumbing fix. He took off the old one that was leaking and put on the new one. He provided me with info on how to for future plumbing for self fix. He completed the job in a short time frame and the valve works great.
