Description of Work: They found and stopped the leak...that's the good news but it's the last time I'll hire a contractor by the hour. What I thought would take one day turned into two...and then they wanted a third day to finish up the patch work...less the painting. At ~$1800 per day, I felt that I wasn't getting my money's worth. They also offered to scope my plumbing at an additional cost of $1516 due to a potential issue. Contacted the insurance company and they stated they wouldn't pay more than $500 but any company would do it for $300-$400. At that point, I felt they were all about getting more money. I hired another contractor to finish the patch work. Nice guys that did okay...just not at that price.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for 1 of 7 professional plumbing services and they changed a faucet for me.

Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet. Once the worker came out, he was great and the work done well. Had trouble scheduling a time because owner kept saying he was "fitting in" these Angie's List's deals. Had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment. Maybe would be better with a larger job, but state in your deal it may be a time before appt available.

Description of Work: I brought Top Dog in twice for time-sensitive repairs in my home. Both were repairs of ceiling drywall. Rod was incredibly responsive to my initial call and went out of his way to accommodate my timeline. His team worked quickly and cleanly. They put down plastic and hung it as well to make sure that dust didn't spread beyond the work area. The completed work was seamless and undetectable.

Description of Work: The ad said they did plumbing, but they turned out to be a handyman outfit that sub contracted out plumbing. I was trying to call in a pro to do a task above my head, but these guys were no more competent than me and slow to respond to questions about what they could handle. By the time I had a reply from them, I was out of time and had to learn how to do the job myself.

Description of Work: Seemed to be an appealing offer -- but after purchase, I learned it was too late in the season to perform the work in 2012. So we agreed to do the work in the Spring - but re-scheduled again due to weather and/or miscommunication. We last spoke on 6/18 and agreed that we could not communicate effectively or agree on any aspect of the work or final project costs. I have given them a C only because it is a mandatory field - they may be a capable vendor and may deserve a higher rating - I have no way to know. Description of Work: I return a coupon that I recently bought because I was under the impression that this company was just a honey do kind of company. I received a call from an employee to let me know that they are a full service and qualified company. After explaining the companies history he invited metro take a look at the company that they are under. I am happy to tell you that I have purchased another coupon and I am going to try there services out on my home plumbing. I will again go on line to write a review on them after they have completed the work.

Description of Work: Top Dog was asked to find the cause (if possible) of two leaks from our bathrooms that were damaging the ceiling of our kitchen. We had already opened up the ceiling area in the kitchen. The coupon was for two hours but the manager at Top Dog said that he wanted us as customers so if the fix was quick and easy, they would just do it. If it was more complicated, they would give an exstimate. The individual spent the two hours looking for the leak, had mutliple theories but finally came back with a $7k estimate to fix the larger one. . The second he said was just a caulking problem, that we understood would just be quickly taken care of without additional charge. The caulking work took all of about 15 minutes, but we did get charged extra for that work. In the end, it was not done well, as there were obvious gaps between the tile and the grout leaving places where water still flowed through. We still had that leak and had to recaulk the tub ourselves. The individual also did nothing to clean up the mess made from the additional opening up of the ceiling. All in all, it was quite disappointing.

Description of Work: I recently purchased an Angie's list deal for services offered by Top Dog Professional Handyman Services. I had a great experience from the first phone call, to the completed job. Rod (owner) was extremely professional, informative, courteous, and efficient. He was on time, explained what he was going to do, and finished the task quickly. There is no question that this company puts the customer first, is very accommodating, and offers many professional services at very reasonable rates. Top Dog is top notch! I would definitely call them again for any service they offer.
