Top Dog Professional Handyman Svcs

We had a broken window air conditioning that was stuck in the window. The technicians diagnosed the problem quickly and installed a replacement unit at an extremely reasonable price. We were pleased and relieved at the resolution of the problem.

I purchased a deal on Angie's list and completed the online service request. Then, I called Rod, owner of Top Dog, which was the next step to complete the service call. Rod returned my call within 24 hours to acknowledge that he received my service request and to discuss my service needs further. As stated in his voice mail greeting, he confirmed that it may take 3-5 weeks before my service would be scheduled. To my surprise, I received a call about one week later. Rod said that he would be in the area the very next day and that he could fit me into his schedule based on the type of service I required. He gave me a time frame, and told me that he would give me a call with a better ETA when he completed the service call before mine. Since I was unable to be at home for the service call, a neighbor was there to greet them when they arrived. By them, I mean Rod and a helper. It was not a major job, so I knew that the work would be completed well within the 2-hour timeframe of the $99 deal. They were friendly, professional, quick and best of all they made sure everything was clean before they left. I would call Top Dog for a wide range of handyman work. Highly recommended!

I emailed Rod Heiston, the owner, and asked his opinion. He told me about the Big Deal offered ($99 for two hours of professional plumbing services) and recommended that. I signed up for it, Rod and his nephew came out today right on time, worked for about 40 minutes on a very stubborn old pipe that was leaking, put in new parts (for which I was not charged), and very courteous and professional throughout. I was impressed by Rod's kindness and courtesy as well as the professional way the work was carried out. I would definitely use them again for a lot more than plumbing (they perform general handyman services as well as kitchen and bath remodeling)--I wish I had known about them years earlier. Thank you Rod! I highly recommend his firm.

I was very please with the services provided by Top Dog. Rod and Kyle were polite and professional. Appreciated the fact that they were honest and upfront about the pros and cons of the condition of the exterior, and what we would have to do to fix it. The quote was more than fair, and although everything was not finished in one day, they came back and finished the required work at no additional charge to me. I will definitely be using Top Dog again in the near future.

Easy to get in contact with. The owner set up a date and arrived on the exact date and within the prescribed time period.The guys were efficient and very knowledgeable. Did a great job.

I got a quote on replacement of an entry door and storm door and was told that it was going to cost me 6 man hours at $89/hr ($534 total), which for 2 techs that's 3 hrs. each. That did NOT include them putting the trim back on and repainting it! I thought the price was a little high, so I called another highly rated Angie's List company that would do the door replacement job AND the trim/paint for $425.

Picked this company from one of the AL Big Deals and scheduling was easy. Kyle called me in advance and showed up early to my house. Worked on the two problems and finished in just under two hours. He really did a terrific job in properly seating my toilet and took some add't time to cut the screws down to their appropriate height. On the shower head, the piece that ran from the wall to the shower head had a small crack that we discovered after trying to stop the small leak (twice). I need to replace the piece. I'd use these guys again for all my plumbing needs. Very professional and went the extra mile in fixing my repairs.

He came out and took off my old ceiling fan, and acknowledged me I would need to have $400 worth of work done to properly install a new one. I was not going to spend that kind of money on a job of that size. I was able to find another company on Angie's List to install my new ceiling fan.

He told me that there would be an additional cost for the fan itself. We scheduled a time for him to come out today, and he never mentioned that I needed to be there. I did call him the morning of the appointment to verify that he could actually do the work that day, and I reiterated that there was a tenant in there, and again, he never mentioned that i needed to be there. When he called from the property, and said I needed to be there, I offered to come over, but he said no, and that he was not going to do the work. I told him I would be making a report to Angie's List and he then accussed me of using social as a weapon, and then he hung up on me.

Kitchen install was fairly quick for a somewhat complex faucet and it looks great (and a great value at $99 through the Angie's List deal). I am glad I did not attempt installing our new kitchen faucet by myself. As a new homeowner, Rod explained to me the importance of the sump pump and offered an inspection. He replaced my very dated sump-pump and the service was exceptional. Rod even offered to set up a payment plan for the new sump pump as it exceeded my budget for the day. I think the price seemed reasonable although I am not sure the average cost of a sump pump.

A very positive experience. Top Dog was very responsive at finding and fixing the leak and took care of some extras they found. They also took care of another bathroom faucet that I hadn't scheduled, but they were willing to add the extra time to check that one out too - and they fixed it. I then had some questions regarding potential renovations, and Roy took the time to walk through some ideas and options to consider. I will be calling them back to work that project for us. I was very pleased with their services.

The faucet was already dismantled, but the base had been glued down by the previous installer. Rod removed it without any damage to the sink. They also replaced two supply lines and two angle stop valves. The cost of the four parts was $78.00. They were very punctual, professional, and did a wonderful job. I will hire them back for all my handyman needs. Thanks Angies List....and THANKS Rod!

The provider arrived on time and showed me the issues with the pump, so I could make an informed decision. Although the work demanded several trips in and out through the house, they did not get my floor dirty, and left no mess. They took the old messy sump pump away for disposal. I also had my toilet inspected to see if it needed to be reset. He assured me that the toilet did not need to be reset, but that it just needed to be caulked around the base. He caulked it quickly and without mess. I am very pleased with this service. We have only lived here 3 1/2 years, so we had no knowledge about the age of the sump pump, nor the lack of maintenance service. The home inspection when we purchased just stated that the pump worked. I feel the Big Deal offer served as a reminder as it listed sump pump service. I am sure this company helped us avoid a water disaster by catching the problem in time.

They corrected a trap on a bathroom sink drain. The house was built in the 50's so nothing is standard in that house any more. They came, they fixed, they cleaned up after themselves. What more could you want? We actually had them come back and do another job for us we were so happy with them.

Rob and Ryan arrived on time and were extremely professional and nice. The got busy on the job and were out of my house in less than two hours.I would highly recommend them.

Top Dog Handyman Services exceeded my expectations of a handyman company. In November of 2011, I had windows installed and caulking of all windows and doors. Window in garage needed a lot of modifications, the workmanship of the two Top Dog employees was quite impressive. Rod, the owner, was on the site through the completion of the prject and was always available and willing to answer any and all questions. Cleanup was extensive and thorough. My highest personal reccomendation goes to Top Dog Handyman.

Overall, I appreciated the thoroughness and professional knowledge of Rod Heiston. Had a very pleasant personality as well. There were unexpected problems due to my old appliances being VERY old and the connections presented some problems, but he handled them all very well. It was reassuring to know that the work was done right!

I purchased an Angie's List "The Big Deal" coupon for Top Dog to perform up to two hours of plumbing work. I scheduled the appointment way in advance and the plumber and helper showed up on the appropriate day during the assigned time slot. They quickly replaced a warped flush valve and tightened the hose connection to stop the slight leak. The toilet no longer constantly runs or leaks. Both guys were courteous, professional and clean.

The leak was found to be from a crack in an old pipe. Access to the problem under the sink and below the floor into the lower level was difficult. Rick was able to replace the pipes with minimal destruction of the wall and subfloor. Everything was connected back up and tested to assure there were no leaks. We were very satisfied with the work, and will have Top Dog come back to estimate another job of running water to our refrigerator ice maker.

While I decided against moving forward with the project, Top Dog was responsive, helpful and upfront up costs and potential challenges. Overall, a good experience. I will probably use them inthe future.

I used an Angie's list "groupon" for this job. The job turned out to be more complicated so I had to pay a bit more but it seemed very reasonable. I am completely pleased with this job. It was quickly scheduled, the worker was very prompt, pleasant, and efficient. He carefully explained the problem to be and repaired it competently.
