It went well. Two guys came out to find a leak. They arrived on time and spent approximately an hour here. It took them the full hour to find the leak, but they did find it. I was very impressed because this was a leak that had eluded us for years. He seems very trustworthy based on my interactions with him, and because of this we are going to have him back to redo our entire bathroom.

The job went very well and the rooms look great. The team was efficient and worked hard all day.

I contacted Top Dog for painting and they offered me 40hrs of painting for $999. I thought it would be a good way to get my painting started. I received a call from the office to verify my information and to let me know Rod would call to schedule with me. Due to my schedule we played phone tag but once we spoke he was able to schedule me in.. Rod took the time to talk to me about my project and gave me good advice about making my master plan, so when he arrives with the painters I get what I want out of the 40hrs. I did as advised by Rod and made that master plan? it worked out great! He also told me and emailed me a list of supplies that if I had in hand would save me money. As planned, Rod arrived to my house within the show time window with 6 painters. They worked hard all day with a 30min break for lunch. The crew did a very good job, covered all my things and put plastic on the carpet as well. There were no spills or issues; they also cleaned after themselves at the end of each day. The experience was pretty good and I would use them again for other work.

Rod showed up on time, and was even flexible about the time in the day that he could come. He quickly identified the problem, clearly explained the problem (and other issues that are not worth fixing now but we should be aware of in the future), and fixed it for us so our bathroom is now usable again. Overall a great experience! Highly recommended!

The jacuzzi faucet was easier to fix since I happened to have a spare part, the cap that needed to be replaced. Rod just took the old out and replace with the spare and it took about 5 minutes. He did found out why the old part didn't work however, and was able to make it work again. Rod investigated the second problem, changed the line valve, and finally decided that I should purchase a new faucet. After he was done (all work took a little less than 1 hour) we had a little discussion about the payment. I thought the "big deal" would cover his work for up to 2 hours for $99, but Rod explained that the $99 should just pay for work on 1 job, in this case, 1 faucet, up to 2 hours. So my recommendation to everyone is to read the Ts and Cs of the deals carefully before you decide to purchase those Angie's big deals. At the end Rod was nice enough to waive the extra cost, and even decided not to charge for the valve he installed. Rod was courteous, professional, and pleasant to work with. I think he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction and is willing to make extra effort to make his customers happy.

The men who came did excellent work and I have no concerns about the quality of their work. The wall paper in our bedroom was excessive and had been put up incorrectly and then wall papered over. We expected it to be a difficult job. My concern is solely with the communication. I was originally told they would be starting at 7 AM and was told the night before that it was in fact a 3 hour window that started at 7 AM. My husband and I could not alter our work schedules on such short notice and although we waited for a while in the morning, they didn't show up until 1/2 an hour after the window when only my mother in law could be there for a few hours until I returned home. Our big deal was for 40 hours so I had 2 back up/side jobs so that if they needed to wait for drying time or some of the crew could not get to their piece, they could work on the stairwell and hallway instead of sitting around. Although I was told I would not be charged for time when someone was not working, there is no one on site to monitor this. My main desire was to have the master bedroom completed. I was repeatedly told they could give me no sense of how long it would take but they had already blocked off time on Saturday to complete the work. A crew of 8 people was sent out to work in one room. I can?t say I felt that was the most productive way to work as they can?t all be in there at the same time all working efficiently. They did work on the stairwell and hallway so that at the end of the day the hallway and stairwell were prepped, but the master bedroom was still not even finished being prepped. I felt that the inability to give me any idea of an estimate on time was unbelievable for a company who has been in business for 25 years and that my priorities were not made their priorities. I needed the bedroom finished. If they thought they?d need the whole 40 hours to do that alone, then no one should have worked on the secondary projects. For Saturday, I was given an estimate of 2-3 hours of prep work to finish the master bedroom and possibly up to 15 hours of painting left but was told this was a high estimate. We hired them to come out the next day to work on it with the hope that they would be done in under 10 hours. After 11 hours of work on Saturday, painting had still not even begun in the master bedroom. We let them all go and hired a couple painters to finish up at a fraction of the cost. If we had known there was still 10 hours of prep work to do, we would have looked elsewhere for a better rate rather than hire them on for a second day, knowing the whole project still had another 20 hours to go. I do think the crew did a great job and the bedroom looks wonderful. The wall was a disaster and you cannot see any of the patch work under the paint and I am very pleased with the work the crew did. When I have a budget and I am trying to plan for a project, I need someone who can give me an estimate that is not off by 20 hours and someone who will follow the list in order of priority so I am not stuck with 3 unfinished projects rather than getting 1 finished.

Rod came out with the whole crew. We discussed what we thought they would be able to get done in the 40 hours. They were very good and the work was great. They did finish within a couple of days using several people. They made a lot of suggestions and we ended up spending about $2,500.00 more for the services. They just need to give a more accurate pricing before doing any additional work. We kind of caught off guard with the final cost. Have a discussion up front for the cost and the work to be done.

It went great, although I feel pretty stupid. The renters had overloaded the disposal and tripped an automatic shut off safety feature. I had trouble shot it, but couldn't figure out what was wrong. Took a while to get an appointment set up, but after the appointment was set, the company came out on time and quickly fixed the problem by resetting the garbage disposal. 5 minutes and $100 later, it was up and running. Home maintenance learned the hard way. :) I would hire these guys again.

We found out that we had a bad leak at our rental property (13 gal an hour was leaking from 2 exterior faucets according to City of Fairfax leak assessment). They were able to go out on a Saturday to repair leaks. Also replaced cracked disposal. Very responsive. We were very eager to get this repaired for our tenants ASAP. They worked with our tenants to find a time to do the repair.

5Well, I will start with the good part. The owner is very meticulous when he does the work and will fix any mistakes/sloppiness his workers do without charging you extra. He drops by to check on the job frequently which is very professional and I pleased with the result. Now the bad.... The guy is outrageously expensive and it may be partly he was trying to make up for the Angie's list deal which I had bought for 16 hours of work at $800. (I am sure they just break even or loos money on those) However, this is the price they have to pay when trying to establish thier name) I had gotten two estimates before I saw the Angies list deal and both said it would be about 2 days of work and cost $2,000 or less. (I got another estimate from the place I purchased the tile before I wrote this to make see how it compared and it was less than $2,000) Rod charged me 4,500 (his hourly rate is very very high. Rod never indicated how much time it would take so I could see how much more over the price I had paid for the Angies the project would cost. Given several people people had told me two days I didnt expect him to go much over and naively thought even if he ends up taking several more hours the project couldent get to be more than 200 or 300 more in labor. More outrageously (and I checked with a bunch of cowokrers before witting this review and noone has heard of chaging a fee for all his tools. He charged $75 for his wet saw blade etc.. Also, he normally charges a 35% upcharge on everything he buys from Home Depot plus he charges you gas to drive there in addition to charging the time spent at home Depot as hours worked (charging for time at Home Depot is more normal) . HE actually waved this for me but told me up front he normally did this. So if he had not waved it that would have been more than 4500 for a small kitchen backsplash which others were chargiing 2000 or less Also annoying is he wouldent call to let you know the status. He did not complete the job in consecutive days and it took ~7 days. As he knew I was leaving my house unlocked (which I normally dont) in order to let them in, he should have called at the end of each night they worked to let me know the status and which day they would be back. Instead I had to call him. This wasnt the end of the world but could have been handled better. Lastly, I asked for a random placement of the accent tile. His workers did a pattern on 75% of it and where he worked it was random. He seemed a little skeptical/annoyed when I explained this on the phone (I was nice and since the pattern looked nice I said lets go with a pattern to make less re-work). He did apologize and fixed it for no extra charge and as I noted seems to be customer service oriented as far as the end results are concerned. He has his own kitchen design business (which is seperate from his handyman business) and he might be worth going with as his work looked so good and he has designers; HOWEVER, I would make sure you got a firm an fair price up front and make sure you only hire him for a complete kitchen do-over .

It was the first time I had tried to use them. I called them on Monday, February 25th, and left a message. Their message said they would respond within 48 hours, which they did not. I called again on Friday, March 1st, and they called back within an hour and said they didn't service Maryland residents.

Arrived on time. Called ahead to say they would be here within the hour. We did have to reschedule 2 times (once due to my schedule conflict and once due to an illness). Both times the company was very professional and gave me courtesy calls well in advance and was very accommodating in rescheduling to fit my schedule. Service did not take long.

Our house is 26 years old. After one faucet leaked, the service man came back the next day, found the problem (old plumbing), and fixed it immediately. He did a great job, and we have gotten compliments on the powder room faucet.

It was fine. He quoted me a price that was way too high to start. I asked if all that work was necessary and he said no. He did what was necessary and its all worked out.

My advice is simple; Don't hire this company if you want a job done right.

Rod showed up instead of one of his handymen since it was after the Holidays and they were backed up. He was very nice and professional but did not have the parts on his truck. He said he would get the parts and reschedule. Rod also was nice enough to let me use the deal coupon to apply to the repair even though the fine print said otherwise. After a 3 weeks I didn't hear back and so decided I would seek a refund. I did the repair myself since we were without filtered cold water and ice from our refrigerator.

Talked to owner, Rod before he came out because I was uncertain of brand to buy. He recommended a brand of and even offered to pick it up for me if I did not have time to go to the store to purchase it. They arrived in the window of time they gave me, and called to let me know they were on the way. Was pleased with the quality of work performed. I scheduled some additional work with them and they did not have time to complete it the same day, so offered to come back another day without charging the service charge. Went over their charges for other work and they seem to be very reasonable compared to other companies.

The most important thing was that the paint made a big difference in the look of my home. The second most important thing was the quality of the work. That lasts longer than money you might save. On these things the firm got an A. The rest of this review is details. The boss worries about keeping customers happy, doing things right and making money. In that order. They were all over the inside of a home in chaos and did not break or steal anything. The final product was better than I expected although the hourly rate was higher than I was used to paying, the guys really worked hard. The price reflects a bigger house than I though I had. LOL It is nice when you can laugh when you had an important portion of work done and a project is moving along!

The appointment was scheduled in a timely manner adjusting to my availability. The work to be done was clearly established and monetary details were outlined. The technician arrived promptly at 7:00am (never have I had one who stated between 7 and 11 arrive at the appointed hour). He surveyed the jobs to be done, reviewed anticipated charges, obtained a signature and, proceeded to fix the toilets. When finished with the toilets he reviewed the faucet and ice maker connections again, stated what he had and what he needed to purchase, left and returned within 20 minutes and proceeded to complete the job. He was pleasant and informative throughout the process taking care to be sure he was understood. Everything was completed to my satisfaction, professionally, neatly and without unexpected charges and/or misunderstanding. A job well done!
