The painters showed up on time. Covered floors and trim before painting the ceilings and walls. The edges between the colored walls and the white ceiling and trim were excellent. Work was completed in 2 days. The crew left the house as clean as it was when they arrived. We are very happy with the results.

I bought a "Big Deal" last fall - $99 for one of several plumbing services. The one that I was interested in was the installation of a new garbage disposal. Shortly thereafter, a lot things came up and I wanted to wait on the job. I called Rod (the owner) and asked if he would honor the Big Deal after the printed expiration. He said no problem. This was great in and of itself. Finally, around 8 months later I finally bought the unit. I called Rod to schedule. He called back in short order and scheduled. I told him that it might involve a bit of electrical and plumbing work as the unit was hard-wired and larger then the old unit. He said no problem. We texted back and forth a couple of times to confirm the schedule. This morning prior to his arrival, Max, on of the techs, called to tell me that he was on the way. He arrived as scheduled. I showed him the job. He noted that the new unit was larger than the old one and that some plumbing work would be necessary. He told me that he was a certified plumber - I though great. Max proceeded to install the new disposal, vacuumed up and even asked whether he should replace all of the under sink bottles, etc. The installation was absolutely perfect. In short, I felt that the job exceeded my expectations and that the price was extremely reasonable. I give Top Dog my highest recommendation. Great job!

The work is really good, but I ended up paying about $300.00 for the service.

My list of plumbing needs seemed endless and I was quite overwhelmed; however, Rod and his crew worked hard to overcome the obstacles and stop the leaks in my upstairs bathroom and install a new sink and toilet in my downstairs bathroom. Rod kept me updated on each project and saw everything through to completion. I have no complaints. I am happy with all the results and am grateful to have functioning bathrooms again. Thank you!

They were excellent painters. Probably the best paint job I've ever had done. I purchased the $999 deal for 40 labor hours. Owner Rod Heiston arrived on time with 6 painters who set right to work. They covered everything with tarps and painters plastic (which I had to provide). At the end of 40 labor hours, we negotiated a to-finish price of another $1000, which took about another 18-20 labor hours. So in all, I payed $1999 for at least a $3000 paint job, I thought I got a good deal and the value was terrific. I needed to provide the following: - Paint (walls, ceilnig white, trim white) - A roll of painter's plastic ($20 - used about half, left thte rest) - A contractor's pack of blue painter's tape ($20 - they used 4/6 rolls, left the rest) - A contractor's pack of painter's caulking ($20 - they used 2/12 tubes, left the rest)

Re-installation of toilet went smoothly and as advertised.

They were good. It was good work. I have had no problems with it since.

I had a plumbing leak and the ad sated that they would find it for $100. I pretty much new where it was, so the $100 would be for cutting open the dry wall to see the pipe. I contacted another outfit that repaired the pipe.

I was at the new location when he came but my husband was at our old house and supervised but was not really needed at all except to let the carpenter in the house and offer him some cool water and a place to put the things in the closet out of his way. He was done in plenty of time for my husband to leave the old house and avoid traffic on the way to the new place. Thanks, Angie.

It went well. They'll come back to replace some parts inside the tank; did not have the parts with him. Rod has performed work for me three times now. All have been done in an outstanding manner. I would definitely use this company again.

They tried to fix two things and they created more problems with the one. They created a leak in the shower. I would not recommend them.

Arrived on time, took less than estimated time to complete the work, cleaned up well and were polite and professional.

Rod was on time and very professional. He explained how my pump worked and what could hinder it working in the future. The job didn't take long and he cleaned up any mess from the work. He even entertained a call around 8pm that evening when I needed to have peace of mind about how to test my new pump. I would definitely use Top Dog again.

I bought 40 hours of a painter for $1,000 (an Angieslist special, Not so special). I needed the exterior trim painted and replacement of some weathered/rotten wood. I e-mailed the owner (Rod) a picture of the house and had several calls with him setting my expectations of the 40 hours being sufficent to cover the time required. After rescheduling several appointments (due to weather) met him and his crew to walk around my house so he could scope the project. I asked him if he thought that the 40 hours would cover the timeframe required for the job and did not get a direct answer but only it was hard to fully commit. He pointed out the places that needed the wood replaced and recommend the best way to proceed. I relied on his experience to determine the best way to accomplish the job yet at the end of the day (X6 crew had worked a full day) they had not finished the job. With storm windows all over and the job incomplete he asked if they should come back the next day (I was a bit trapped at that point). I OK'ed him to proceed with a new estimate of X6 hours and $250 of material ($2,590). His crew did good work but it took them 9 hours to complete the job raising the price up to $3,905 (including X2 hours of his Project Management time that was previously never mentioned). So my $1,000 handyman special turn out to be $4,905. Rod is very good at never quite committing but running up the price once he has started the job. I would never use his services again and would never recommend that anybody else do either.

I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon from Angies List to have a bathroom faucet replaced. I called and left a message on the phone line to set up an appointment for the work. The phone message stated it would take up to two days to respond. It took over two days to respond to the phone call so I called again. I received a call back message with an assigned appointment time without input of availability from the customer. The time assigned was not possible. I offered an alternate window with a tighter time window, or multiple days where it was possible to be available the majority of the day where time was not an issue. I was clear that I would prefer the work be done on one of the proposed alternate dates. The very inconvenient day was assigned and the company adjusted the time to accomodate. Scheduling is an area the company needs to improve upon. The company did arrive on time and completed the work in approximately an hour. The quality of work was good. The individual did the sales pitch. He explained to my husband they offer the "Big Deal" coupons as a method to generate business -- they do not 'make money' on the "Big Deals" It was not a truly hard sell - just a moderate sell. It is important to know this prior to purchasing the "Big Deal" offer.

The service was good. He checked up the whole house, he looked at the circuit boards downstairs in the basement. He changed one outlet that didn't need handled and he didn't charge me extra for it because it was a pretty simple thing but that's all I remember.

The service was fantastic. They arrived on time and some painters started setting up while I walked others throughout the house explaining what I wanted done. The manager kept me updated throughout the day of the progress because I had to leave. On day one there were five men painting and they spread out to different rooms. At the end of the day (after eight and a half hours working (with a half hour for lunch) there was more completed than I expected. I hired for a second day so my entire house could be completed. On day two they arrived a few minutes ahead of time. This time there were three painters instead of five. The three men got to work while I spoke with the manager. Again I had to leave but I had no problem leaving them alone at my place. My brother even stopped by randomly throughout the day to check on the progress and each time it seemed closer to completion. When the painting was finished the men picked up their materials and cover rugs gently as to not throw the dust everywhere and took everything outside. Then they went through the place cleaning up the dust and whatever else was left behind from their work. All the furniture was put exactly where it was before.

The painting crew showed up within the expected window and got right to work. Rod (the owner) also joined the crew for the first part of the job to make sure that expectations were set and all the necessary supplies was on site and ready to be used. All the painters were professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. For our particular house (since it was new construction and all the walls were still a builders white color) we decided not to have any prep work done. This allowed the crew enough time to paint all of the rooms listed below: Family Room Kitchen Stairwell 2nd Floor Landing Spare Bedroom Master Bedroom Even with having 6 painters in the crew this job was quite the task within the 8 hour allotted time frame. Even with such a large job and limited time restraints the paint lines and quality of work that all the painters performed was exceptional. I would definitely use and recommend Top Dog Professional Handyman Services for my future painting needs!

We had a leak in our kitchen ceiling so we decided to use our Angie's coupon for $99 for up to 2 hours for one of their services. Rod came with Kyle to check out our leak right away. Rod looked at our master bathroom and said he smelled mold. He said the mold was so strong that we shouldn't keep our infant son near the bathroom because he could inhale mold and get sick. Top Dog said they should demo part of our bathroom to remove the mold right away. The first meeting lasted 20 minutes and I gave the Angie's list coupon. Later that week, we paid for two of their workers to demolish the bathroom (Kyle and one other person, Rod was not there). Kyle helped to bring some of the trash down but it was clear that the other person was doing most of the work. I wish I could have had 2 workers who were as good as the second guy and I'm sure everything would have been done a lot sooner. They spilled a good amount of the demolished tiles on my stairs and did not lay down plastic anywhere. Then they used our vacuum cleaner to clean it up the mess. They spent a day and a half removing everything. Rod came at the end of each day to inspect. Ultimately, I wish I got a second opinion before going with Top Dog. They were overpriced ($1300) but they did get the job done.

I'm very happy to hire them .. they did excellent job .

I was satisfied with the services. They showed up when they were supposed to, did a good job, and left it clean when they were done.

I am very pleased with the work and professionalism from the guys that work for Top Dog Handyman SVCS. I will most definitely call them again for any future projects .

Top Dog is the best! Rod Heiston came in, was very professional, explained the process, and took no time to start. His employees were nice, clean, professional guys, very polite and approachable. After they were done, they cleaned up and even cleaned a mess that I left:)

They where on time, very prompt, and the workers were very polite and professional looking. They cleaned up after themselves and and left my home cleaner than it was before they started. I would recomend them for sure. I will have them return soon to remodel my master bathroom.
